My son comes here all the time with my parents during the week and we finally got to try it. It's fantastic pizza and the service was great. My parents have a spot at the KOA and it's walking distance and they have a few arcade games, a bar, and a laid back vibe. We had the Hawaiian pizza, mozzarella sticks, and a cheese pizza. Service: Ordered around 6:00 on a Friday night and the pizza was ready to-.go by 6:30 which was the time the lady who took our order over the phone quoted us! Has always been a good dine in location for my family on Friday's. It's a very nice country setting and service has always been good for me.

The food was very good. Having said that, I stood at the counter for about 10 minutes while the girl in the kitchen looked at me, ignored me, and had her nose buried in her phone. Very rude. I absolutely love Pizza Cottage! My usual order is the Hawaiian pizza. I love the thin crust and the sweet sauce with pineapple. I also get a Ruthie's way sub sandwich. I have been getting the same order for years. I love the leftover pizza in the morning for breakfast. And, for the first time, I tried one of the chocolate chip cookies. It was pretty tasty. The service was quick and our waitress was attentive to our needs. The restaurant had the usual hustle and bustle, but it was conducive to conversation. There are a few TVs with sports programs showing. Pizza Cottage is my favorite pizza establishment at Buckeye Lake. There is a wide assortment of dinners and pizzas available on the menu, but I usually just stick with what I like and I haven't tried a lot of other items. Visiting Buckeye Lake for the weekend. My friend and I were looking for a place to grab dinner and heard great things about Pizza Cottage. The restaurant was busy when we arrived and it was a little chaotic. We were seated about 10 minutes after our arrival. There was a delay in pizzas due to the crowd in the restaurant, as well as carryout orders. We started with a Garden Salad and an order of garlic bread with cheese. The salad was good with fresh ingredients and a tasty Italian dressing. The garlic bread with cheese was a popular item and it did not disappoint. The pizza arrived a little bit after the appetizers. I ordered a small pizza with green peppers and mushrooms. The pizza was loaded with toppings. The sauce had a good flavor. The crust was thin and crispy. Overall it was a great experience. This review is directed to the owner of the chain concerning the Mt. Vernon store. First let me say we live in Lewis Center but have occasion to be in your Pickerington , Newark , Lewis Center and mostly the Buckeye Lake store as our family owns a house there. I estimate we spend at least $1500 - $2000 per year at the lake alone. Having said that, we were in Mt. Vernon with14 people and decided to go to your store there .Each couple ordered separately Total bills over $250 . All was well but our pizza never came out till we asked what was going on . Waitress was nice and explained that it got un-made but was now in oven. The group other than my wife and I had finished eating and paid their bills before we got our pizza. The waitress (Alexis) was apologetic and took half off the pizza . My grand daughter who managed Winking lizard stores asked to speak to your manager BIG MISTAKE 15 minutes till he came out .Brian was the most obnoxious condescending manager possible. One of our couples told him they would never be back , his comment was "suit yourself" it actually went downhill from there. He was beyond disrespectful. You should know Pizza Cottage has been our "go to"pizza shop. Never again in Mt Vernon .You should also know that I spent 40 plus years in retail managing more than 8600 people . A great location for us when staying at the KOA @ Buckeye Lake. The menu had a lot of great options and some unique dishes. We got the whole hog pizza (thin crust which is their normal crust) and the loaded baked potato pizza (Sicilian crust---a little thicker). The whole hog had lots of flavor but was a little soggy when we tried to pick up the slice. The loaded baked potato pizza could use a little more seasoning as I felt it was rather bland tasting. The service was pretty quick (waiting 35 minutes for an online order to be completed before picking it up). I've been here many times over the past 25 years. The pizza is always good. I love their combination of cheese and sauce the best. The sauce is a bit sweet, a bit spicy, and a bit tangy. I usually get the All The Way pizza, and tonight was no exception! It was thin, crispy, with the right balance of veggies, and meat. Although, we didn't get the BLT pizza tonight, I'd be remiss if I didn't at least say that theirs is hands down the best BLT pizza I've had. Really good pizza. We tried all three crusts. Loved the gluten-free cauliflower crust and the Sicilian crust. The white pizza was really good. LOVED pizza cottage! We had never tried it before, but had heard a lot of good things. We went to the original location with some friends on a Friday night and they were decently busy! They even have a little bar inside you can sit at and plenty of tables inside. We tried the thin crust pepperoni and the Sicilian crust and they were both so good! We tried the breadsticks and they were plain, but right up my alley. We also tried the cheese sticks and boneless wings and they were decent. Pizza Cottage serves up a pretty darn good Ohio-style pie (thin crust, edge to edge toppings and cut in squares). That's not really my cup of tea. So why four stars? Easy - the BLT Pizza. Pizza Cottage's BLT pizza comes with all of the ingredients of your basic BLT, but instead of just plopping them on a pizza crust, they top it off with another pizza crust, so you eat it like a sandwich. Used to love this place. It just isn't the same without Kevin Gotham. Slowly it has slid downhill since he left. Orders are constantly wrong. Recently I placed a large order a day ahead of when I needed it, and I was told that the order was overlooked when I called while 30 hungry people were staring me down wondering where the food was. They did not charge for the pizzas which was the right thing to do, but it's just the latest let down in a series of PC letdowns. I am betting they have been going through a lot of their coupons that they use to try to make up when they have fallen short. I wish they would just get back to good business and good pizza and keep their coupons and comps. read more
