Elm's was my all time favorite, but I guess I should say only until around 2010 when I moved out of the area. We visited last weekend and I was so DISAPPOINTED. The pizza was burnt and tasteless. The toppings were pitiful in their portions. The kids working were nice and friendly but our pizza took over 1 hour to be served. And as aforementioned it was not the best, another description might be overcooked cardboard. And thank goodness my back was turned and the volume was down because not everyone wants to see the tales of Fox News on a night out on the town! I feel sad because I have such wonderful memories of visiting Elm's with friends and family. So, be advised that it is not as it once was. read more

Pizza was just ok. Garlic bread was on toasted bread (?!). Sausage and toppings reminded us of a frozen pizza. No refills on pop, unless you bum rush the fountain like one scruffy patron did. Limited seating. Empty parking lot on a Friday night at 7pm should tell you everything you need to know. There was U.S. and the delivery guy when we left. Sadly, this was a hot spot with good pies in the early 90's. Not sure what happened but it's not the same. Really hoped to relive the past, but not so much. read more

Underrated. This is easily a 4 star on the verge of a 5 star rating. Located in downtown Granville. Food is constantly satisfying and excellent. Central Ohio is full of so many quality restaurants serving pizza, Elm's Pizza Parlor stands out. I visited Thursday, May 6. I had the medium pepperoni and cheese (pictured). Excellent flavor. Crispy thin crust. Great sauce. Generous pepperoni. Not greasy. My mom got the Gluten Free pizza and commented how much she liked it. Dinning room was clean and lots of room for guests. Gonna give them three stars right now. Called for delivery tonight on May 18, 2022. We live in Granville and they have no idea about the new neighborhoods being built. Apparently 5 miles is too far for delivery for them. So instead of finding out if I want to pick up my food the less than sociable gentleman I spoke to on the phone hung up the phone on me. Place looks like a great hole in the wall pizza joint, so we will eventually give them a chance, however first impressions aren't the best. And if you say that you live in Granville your entire life maybe you should get outside and start seeing that your town's expanding. I'd rather buy pizza from a local joint than a national chain. You're losing business if you don't know that people are moving into town and expanding your delivery area. 5 miles is not that far away for people to deliver by car. Three stars for the lack of effort. Hoping I can revise my review in the future and give them five stars. We ordered three larger pizzas with 2 toppings each. The sauce was thick and rich on all the pizzas, the best part was that it went to the edges! The crust was a nice hand toss. The toppings combinations we had were pepperoni and banana peppers, sausage and ham, and sausage pepperoni. The stromboli is pretty tasty, order that if you are considering eating food from here. So many people say this place has the best pizza but I can't figure out why. I'm guessing it's because they grew up with it or some other type of connection because frankly the pizza is not that good. In trying to figure out what I don't like about this pizza I've pretty much determined that there's nothing about it that I like. Don't like the cheese, sauce, greasy limp pepperonis, the seasoning on top, or the boring tasting cracker crust. None of it works. If I was limited to ordering pizza in the village I would definitely order from one of the other two places in town. But this is just my personal preference. You may love it. Minus one star for the crap attitude the employees always seem to have, for charging for refills, and for the employee that parks their monster truck out front and half in the street. read more

We were traveling from Cincinnati to north eastern Ohio when we decided to stop for dinner. This place caught our eye so we decided to give it a chance. What a delightful surprise we found in this sweet mom & pop pizza parlor. Friendly people, great food and clean bathrooms!! My husband ordered the homemade lasagna which was nice and saucy(nice flavor of sauce) and a nice portion; came with 2 slices of garlic toast and had a nice fennel flavor that was not too over powering. I had the small chef salad that was plentiful with mozzarella cheese and ham - a little pricey for the size of the salad in my option but very good and came with a packet of Marzetti's dressing. I also had the Philly cheesesteak sandwich/sub which was soooooo good!!! Nice real steak and cheese with peppers, onions and mushrooms; the sub bun was GREAT! Doug the manager is a simpleton, rude, inconsiderate, self centered, and unapologetic. He was rude to our dine in party. Made jokes about our order. Closed early and tried to get us out even earlier. He was spewing politics in ear shot of patrons. His demeanor ruined our nice Christmas party. He was angry and disturbed taking it out on employees and customers. Tried to order dessert but Doug kicked us out. They are supposed to close at 10 but Doug decided to close at 9. Tried to leave a tip but no tip jar, gave the waitress $20 on the sly. If I see you Doug beware. Food was mediocre at best. Service from the staff was actually nice. Will not be returning, plenty of right leaning restaurants to support, this is trash. read more

First time visit, and we really enjoyed their pizza! Thin crust was crispy, fresh toppings, perfectly cooked cheese and piping hot! Their pricing is very reasonable for the sizes and toppings we ordered. Although slightly disappointed by syrafoam cups, would absolutely eat here again. Negatives: unable to change tv station which was stuck permanently on political rhetoric. I don't think a restaurant is the best place to spout personal religious and political beliefs. read more

Since I first reviewed this pizza place a few weeks ago, I've had a couple of very mediocre pizza experiences there. I also had one of the employees hang up on me when I had a bad connection during a takeout order. She didn't even say, "Hey, can you call back - there seems to be a bad connection." She just hung up. Today I learned they don't deliver to my street -- though we are just 3 miles away and here in Granville. I guess business is a booming for the Elm's and they needn't trouble themselves with such "long" deliveries. The 5 minutes it would take to get here is obviously far too valuable to the staff. Well, to thank them, I shall never go there again. I'll drive down to one of the many pizza places in nearby Pataskala. Nice work Elm's Pizza. And good-bye. .... I just called back and asked why they don't deliver 3 miles away from their shop. They guy on the phone asked which street I lived on. "What difference does that make?" I asked him. "Just tell me what street and I'll tell you if we delver there," he said. I told him. And he said they don't deliver to that street. Then he hung up. That's class. I guess they are very fancy and snobbish there at Elm's Pizza. I suppose if I lived on a fancy street 3 miles out they'd deliver. read more

When you're a poor college student in need of some pizza delivery, Elm's hits the spot. Many nights, I'd be holed up in my room studying with a pizza from Elm's. It was nice -- I never really spent more than $10 on a pizza and they always delivered. What more could I ask for? I've also made the walk down the hill a few times to eat in the actual restaurant and enjoyed the environment -- casual wooden tables/benches, car memorabilia everywhere, a couple arcade games, friendly employees, quiet spot of town. I even brought my husband here a couple times when we visited the campus after I graduated. it is not the most amazing pizza ever (especially since I'm from the Chicago area), but it's quick, cheap, and good. It is the thinnest, crispiest, cracker crust you've ever had. Good sauce, appropriate amount of cheese and toppings. It is definitely unique - it's not your typical pizza. Was in town meeting a friend for lunch. We found this place and tried it out. Was happy we did. The place is a nice clean little spot just on the outside of the main drag. We got salads and a pizza. The salads were fresh and very delicious. The pizza took a little time to bake, but they warn you of that ahead of time so it wasnt an issue. Once it go to the table it looked so good that we didnt even wait for it to cool off. It tasted great. Had the perfect amount of toppings. Will def visit again. read more

There are few times in life when I've had food as bad as this. Speaking as a college student, I've made better pizzas in my toaster oven than they have here. Now, to be fair, I haven't been into the restauraunt -- I speak from my experiences with the pizza they deliver. Sad, floppy, overly greasy thin crust pizza. I've had it multiple times, and I have to say, it's probably the worst I've ever had. To be fair, I'm a chicagoan, so my standards are high, but this pizza is seriously the worst I've had in a while. Tl;Dr -- if you want real thin crust pizza, get Lou Malnati's in Chicago. If you want pizza in the granville area, get a hand tossed or thin crust pizza from Donato's. DO NOT, under any circumstances, buy this pizza. You're better off making pizza bagels in your toaster oven. Thank you. read more

I've been around the world, and eaten all the famous pizza the world has to offer. Nothing has ever topped Elm's pepperoni and cheese. There is definitely a "type" for this pizza, because it is quite unique. Cracker crust, rich and flavorful tomato sauce, melted blend of cheeses, and incredible pepperoni.
