Look no further for your gluten free pizza fix. Or any pizza fix, for that matter. Whatever your culinary pizza needs, Pizza D'Action has you covered. Service is super friendly and informative inside this cozy storefront in Holyoke. Since the food is made to order, be prepared for a bit of a wait, especially if you have a food allergy. They take the time to ensure the prep area is clean to reduce the risk of any cross-contamination. So if you're in a hurry, I'd advise calling ahead with your order. The pizza was worth the drive north from Springfield, and it held up well for leftovers several days afterward. If I ever find myself in the area again, I will be back for more.

Side salad with side of bug.

Had an interesting experience here. Found an insect in the side salad that came with my vegan lasagna. The waitress apologized deeply and said we'd receive a discount on our meal. We received the bill and there was no discount. They'd simply taken off $2 for the cost of the side salad. I asked the waitress and Josh, the manager came over to explain. He was pretty arrogant, defensive and overly loud. He said the salad comes in a bag and essentially it's not their fault. And I quote "it's not like it's a cockroach!" He continued with "I've been doing this for 15 years and the Health Inspector eats here all of the time". Not sure how that justifies having a beetle in my salad. He finally takes the angle of accusing us of having eaten the salad. After much back and forth he says if we aren't happy with the 'discount' he can go ahead and "take some more money off our dinner". He eventually gave us half-off another item on our bill (pizza)--and a very awkward and uncomfortable end to our dinner. I'll have to pass on this one. While the waitress was very pleasant and the lasagna good, I don't want Pizza Dis Action.

There are so many vegan options I had a hard time picking but i went with the lasagna and it was great. Huge portion, very fresh and even the dressing for the salad was delicious. I will be back again to try all of the other vegan options. Also the hostess/server, Rebecca was the sweetest thing! Super helpful and just made the experience that much better. Thank you!!

Vegan sausage sandwich. Loaded with sausage. Good value.

I had a nice quick lunch here on the way to the airport. I love when restaurants are eager to provide great fare for their diet-restricted patrons, like myself. I had the vegan sausage sandwich. It nice and hearty, and had a really generous helping of sausage (did they put a whole package of Tofurky in there??). The interior of the restaurant was pretty plain - standard pizza parlor look - but I like that. The woman working that day was really nice and helpful, as well. Overall, a nice experience. My only concern as I leafed through the menu was the big upcharge on pizzas when substituting vegan cheese. If I recall correctly, it was more than $7 substitution fee for the largest size. I understand vegan substitutes are expensive, but who can afford a ~$30 pizza? Any other vegans have experience with this?

This is supposed to be pizza sauce. It's more like tomato paste with Italian spices. Yuck!!!

I ordered a 1/2 cheese, 1/2 onion x large pizza and my wife got a small vegan pizza with the red sauce. Okay... calling the red stuff on the pizza, sauce, would be a lie. It's more like tomato paste. I seriously believe that it's canned something (probably tomato paste with a little added water) and additional spices. It's very unappealing. I had a hard time checking down the few slices that I forced myself to eat considering it was over $20. We also got French fries and mozzarella sticks. The fries are fries...had a weird coating but was okay. The mozzarella sticks were obviously frozen with the same paste for dipping. I will mention that my wife liked her thin crust vegan pizza but the same issues wth the sauce (paste). The crust of the regular is pan pizza. More like a pan doused with oil and the crust fried inside of it. We went there for the vegan options and I'm shaking my head at the how awful the non-vegan food was. Avoid this place if you're looking for anything palatable. To add insult to injury. We had to wait more than 35 minutes for our yucky food!

My family and I were astonished about this hidden gem during a day trip to Holyoke MA. The vegan eggplant pizza was delicious. The staff was polite, funny and friendly. I highly recommend this place for vegan and non vegans too. Please see attached menu.

One thing I've appreciated is seeing how much they've improved over time. In the beginning, the food quality and consistency weren't always where they needed to be, but they have made significant improvements and have become much more reliable. The peri peri chicken is flavorful, well-seasoned, and cooked well, and the sides are generally fresh and satisfying. Whether dining in or ordering takeout, my recent experiences have been consistently positive. The staff is friendly, and service is generally smooth. The only minor issue I've noticed is that they occasionally run out of certain menu items, especially during busy periods. However, that hasn't taken away from the overall experience. It's great to see a local business continue to improve and grow. Overall, Tribos Peri Peri offers good food, solid service, and a much stronger experience than when they first started. I'd happily recommend it and will continue to return.

Skyline Beer Company is a craft brewery and restaurant that opened in Westfield, Massachusetts in…read more2014. It was founded by friends and business partners Lisa Pac and Daniel Osella. Beginning in 2002, Pac and Osella began getting together on weekends to homebrew and create food pairings. Pac brewed the beer while Osella (a chef) crafted the food pairings. In 2014, the duo launched 'Skyline Hop Shop' as an alternating proprietorship operation inside Westfield River Brewing Company at 707 College Highway. Osella offered fresh food that paired well with WRB's brews while Pac offered home brewing classes and supplies. They quickly outgrew the space and reopened as 'Skyline Trading Company' at 124 Elm Street in 2016. At this location, Pac and Osello expanded their menu both of food and beer, adding craft whiskey and tequila to the mix. After outgrowing their space again, the partners moved to 98 Southwick Road and reopened as 'Skyline Beer Company' in December 2019. Head brewer Dana Bishop came on board as additional partner, and Coy Chaney was hired as the Assistant Brew Master. The current 4,500-square-foot restaurant and taproom offers 24 rotating draught lines, cocktails, a full food menu, and beautiful views of the rolling hills of Western Mass. I recently visited Skyline Beer Company while I was cycling on the nearby Columbia Greenway Rail Trail. Skyline was on my list of breweries to try for a while, so I decided to stop by for some beers and bites. The taproom and restaurant was spacious and inviting with plenty of seating both inside and outside. I opted to sit outside and began to look over their extensive beer and food menu. I ordered a sampler flight that included "Forget Me Not" (New England Pale Ale), "Up In Smoke" (New England IPA), "Listening Juice" (Double IPA), and "Mother Ocean" (New England IPA). For food, I ordered a plate of delicious "Pretzel Bites & Cheesy Sauce". I really enjoyed all of the beers that I tried, but "Up In Smoke" (with delicious notes of grapefruit and marshmallow) was easily my favorite! I ended up ordering a full pour of it before leaving. The pretzel bites were equally delicious and paired well with my beers. I had an exceptional experience at Skyline and I look forward to returning in the future!

"I love the flower girl Oh, I don't know just why…read moreShe simply caught my eye I love the flower girl she seemed so sweet and kind. She crept into my mind." (The Cowsills) Visiting the Flour Girl Café and Bakery will put you squarely in the middle of a Flour Girl Village with four distinct components. Within the village is the Flour Girl Café at 16 Main, the Flour Girl Bakery at 14 Main, the Flour Girl Country Store at 12 Main, and the Door Yard in a rear courtyard for dining and hosting events between the bakery and country store. Today we had breakfast at the Café and followed it up with a visit to the bakery. A common thread at both stops was the wonderful personality and friendliness of the staff we interacted with. The counterperson at the Café could not have been nicer and her personality radiated throughout the room like a beam of sunshine. She welcomed every new customer as though they were long lost relatives, exchanged some pleasant small talk and then diligently repeated the orders before ringing them up. She was fantastic. The café keeps things humming all week long--open Monday through Friday from 6:30 to 4:00, Saturdays from 7:30 to 4:00, and Sundays from 7:30 to 3:00. Flour Girl Café covers you from breakfast through lunch. Mornings bring all the good stuff: coffees and lattes, smoothies, egg sandwiches, bagels, wraps, waffles, toasts--you get the idea. Swing by at lunchtime and you'll find sandwiches, paninis, salads, burgers and soups waiting for you. Oh, and as a bonus perk, the bread for sandwiches and burgers is made at the bakery next door, so freshness is something the Flour Girl takes seriously. For breakfast, we had a Bacon, Egg, Lettuce, Tomato, and Cheese Bagel ($7.99) and an Avocado Toast (2 pieces) with Feta and tomato ($9.99), Two 16-ounce drip coffees were $3.50 apiece. The portions were large, and my avocado toast on sourdough was fantastic. We sat in the first-floor dining room and took in the pretty interior design of pinks, pastels, and floral color theme. Now, on to the bakery! The Flour Girl Bakery may be best known for its sourdough breads, but the fun doesn't stop there. You'll also find muffins, cookies, scones, their award winning cinnamon rolls, and a rotating lineup of fresh baked breads. And those cinnamon rolls? They spark a full on weekend rush--people happily line up just to snag one before they disappear. We picked up a box of mixed goods, muffins, cake squares, and a big hunk of jalapeno cornbread that will go perfectly with a homemade batch of lentil chili sitting in my fridge. We saw an adorable feature at the bakery, where plastic eggs were hidden within the store for the kiddies to find and cash in for a cookie. It's the little customer service features we saw at the Flour Girl's Café, Bakery, and Country Store that made today's visit so pleasant.
