Their reason is because the kitchen's burners were all occupied and they had to wait until the one becomes available (?!?!?!). Keep in mind that this is during lunch time, and it was raining, so the restaurant is NOT crowded. We were the largest party, and there were about 3-4 smaller tables besides us in the whole restaurant. How they could neglect one of our order and cooked other orders was beyond me. It wasn't until 20min later that the last dish was served. Secondly, during the meal, I asked if the restaurant provides a slice of cake for my son, and the server said that unfortunately they don't provide complimentary birthday cake, to which I told them it's fine, I'll pay for it. However, they brought the slice of cake out with candle when everyone was still finishing up the meal! Luckily I saw it and quickly signaled them to stop, then I told our server to bring the cake AFTER the table has been cleared out. This should have been a common knowledge. Then after everyone has finished with their meals, we were waiting for the server to bring dessert menu, but none came. I had to physically go to the server station and ask for dessert menu. After some of our guests have ordered desserts, they didn't serve the desserts AND the birthday slice immediately. We had to wait a good 15-20min for it, which is very disappointing especially when the cake is already pre-made. We counted there were approx 4 servers and several busboys, so there was no shortage of manpower. I just couldn't comprehend on why they couldn't serve the dessert as fast as they served the main courses? The last straw was the gratuity. They did mention ahead that there's a mandatory 20% gratuity for large party, but at that point, I was really debating whether we should agree with such high percentage when service is not up to par halfway through our meal. Moreover, they calculated 20% from TOTAL instead of Subtotal amount. I told him that Tax is NOT tip-able, therefore it ahouls be calculated from Subtotal. He was flabbergasted, and said that tips are automatically added by the system, which I contested. After checking with his supervisor, then he said that he can manually enter the tip amount @ 20% from Subtotal. It's really very disappointing to end our celebration with a sour note when it had started well. Suffice to say that we will not be back to this establishment, when there are many other restaurants to dine at The Source.

From my photos, you can see that they have various items for sale such as wine, oils, ground coffee, pasta and more. They also offer pasta classes Delightful Italian food for sure.
