First off, the restaurant itself is gorgeous, I especially love the decor and the awesome floors. It's extremely clean and modern. Came here yesterday with my boyfriend and ordered the meat lovers pie. The pie itself was huge and full of delicious toppings, (steak, sausage, bacon, and pepperoni) and all the toppings were evenly spread out and perfectly cooked. I loved that it was thin crust too. Niko the owner came over to our table multiple times and made sure we were well taken care of. In addition to our pizza, he recommended for us to order the district salad and I have to say, everything about it was fresh and delicious. I could of eaten just the salad alone and been satisfied, it was that good. Overall, this is my new favorite pizza spot. First time ordering, did a large pizza pick up, was quick and timely, I arrived early and the staff was very friendly and inviting, the interior is very new age and has a great feel to it. They have a station out front where you can watch them hand toss the dough and put your pizza right in the oven, made to order. AMAZING VEGAN PIZZA! As a vegan, finding great pizza is harder than any other food. It's either only vegetables, which aren't properly seasoned, or a vegan cheese that has a very distinct taste which isn't always perfect. But Pizza District found a perfect balance. I got crust with vegan cheese and it tasted superb. No overpowering vegan cheese taste, great sauce, nice crispy crust! I am thrilled to have found this place. I will definitely be returning. The woman at the counter lied about the pizza I ordered being made with gluten free dough. The owner asked us how the cauliflower pizza was, without knowing that the woman at the counter said it was gluten free. The pizza was 6 slices (the only size that cauliflower crust comes in). I asked the woman at the counter on multiple occasions if this was in fact cauliflower pizza, which she denied. It tasted like cauliflower, she just didn't want to be caught. Let me start by saying that when the word "pizza" comes up in a "what are we having to eat" conversation, I am not at all excited....until now! Our first visit to Pizza District was for lunch today and I ordered a califlower crust pizza, specifically The Goat which is grilled artichokes, spinach, mozzarella, parmesan, goat cheese, tomato sauce and I added italian sausage. OMG, soooo good - I'd never had cauliflower crust and it is amazing. You would never guess it is cauliflower! We also ordered a large pizza, half pepperoni and half Mizner Park which has ricotta and sliced meatballs....both delish. The crust is thin and you can taste that everything is fresh. Pizza is good but the addition of a delivery fee recently has me ordering from here less often. Plus sometimes the pizza is cold when it gets here. As a young person who works long hours, I order food just about everyday, this place would get more orders from me if they did away with the delivery fee. It adds up when you order 3-4 times a week. Im always looking for good pizza down here in South Fla since im from Nj and miss the pizza up north but this place was AMAZING. Though I only gave them 2 stars, the pizza itself was delicious. WITH THAT SAID, I only ordered from here because I have food allergies and was craving a pizza (gluten and dairy free). I mentioned my food allergies and asked if they could ensure that gloves were changed, no shared utensils would be used, and that whoever was making the pizza would be very careful to not cross-contaminate with any other dairy (I have an anaphylactic allergy to dairy). The gentleman I spoke to said not to worry, it would all be safe. Now, I realize this is my fault. I am too sensitive to dairy to order from a regular pizza place if that pizza place serves regular cheese. I thought it would be okay if I warned them and all the necessary precautions were taken. I was wrong. Within a few minutes, I started feeling sick. Within half an hour, I was in the bathroom crying, shaking, swelling, hugging the toilet, sitting on the toilet, etc (you get the picture). I knew I was having an allergic reaction and took massive amounts of benadryl to try and avoid going to the hospital. So if you are ordering from here to get a vegan pizza due to food allergies, sadly I highly recommend against it. If you are vegan by choice but with no food allergies, then go for it because it was super yummy. read more
