I've been ordering pizza from these guys for five years. They screwed up an order we had last week and when we called they said they would rectify the order and send us a pizza in 30 minutes. We waited and when we called, another person said they never heard of this new pizza they were making us, but again promised us they would make a new one and send it to us. 30 minutes later, nothing. We called and yet another person made the same promise and we never received the replacement pizza. What upset us the most is that they lied, three times. This place is almost comical in their dishonesty. They try to come off like they are so community oriented, but they can't pull the wool over my eyes. This is how the story goes. Been in cv for quite awhile & live close to pizza joint. Like the pizza and convenience but here's the thing every time I ordered over the years they would overcharge on the tax. Now we are talking in my experience over a buck extra...everytime!!! Example bought pizzas at 9% tax would have been under two bucks total but was charged over ten percent...every time! After several visits I wrote them off on GP. Then after a couple years tried again out of convenience and like I said pretty good pizza. Nope still SOS. But the next few visits I called them on it and they play stupid of course. Do the math over a buck extra times a year of sales = $$. Furthermore, they seem to exploit the kids of Creekside, etc. My kids have been told the cheapest pizza was $16. .. menu showed like 12$. Additionally they were told the six pack (soda) was $ 6.99...menu $3.99. They brought menu next time and asked why it said $ 3.99 and was told it was a misprint. Good cheap pizza by the slice. It's a great deal and while it's not the best pizza I've ever had, it is really tasty. The staff is always helpful and friendly and they deliver to local area. The salad and cheesy bread are also good. They have a selection of sodas and beers to choose from. Not an eat in kind of place, but they do have a table if you can't wait to eat it. read more

Yes, that is, in fact, the only beer they deliver, but hey, THEY DELIVER BEER. And the vegetarian, unlike the supreme, was very tasty, not salty like the supreme, lotsa garlic (confirmed bachelorette here) and fresh veggies (other than the black olives -- will nix next time). The man who owns the place came in less than 20 minutes with a fresh hot juicy veggie pizza. My date and I had to eat super fast, but it was so damn good! I have been craving that pizza ever since. I LOVE this pizza, everything about it, they just make it soo good. i used to come here every week to get the "phat" slice. they're friendly, and if you've used them constantly they pretty much know you! The men that own it are awesome, they're so nice, but they sure as hell know how to make pizza. i've had a couple problems before, with this one, sometimes when the women(the wives) are working there they make the pizza dough really really thin, to the point where it litteraly just flops over and almost breaks off, but other then that this is hands down my favorite pizza place around.. besides a locally owned place out in oklahoma! read more

Pro: Pizza was fine. In fact, I really like it! They even do a gluten free crust (great for my family). Con: I placed order at 4:30pm by phone for delivery at 5:30pm. It's definitely one of the better pizza places in Castro Valley. I've had my pizza delivered on time on several occasions. I've also picked it up a few times and chatted with the employees there who are extremely nice. The Creekside students can go by after school and get a slice for $1.00 and the kids can hang out there for a bit and the owners don't mind. The pizza is a bit pricey though and tad greasy. 1.) They charged us higher than the prices presented on their menu. They did not provide us with an itemized receipt. 2.) The store was dirty 3.) When we arrived home (yes, we should have checked before we left with our pickup) we found that our BBQ wings had NO sauce on them, and they were cold. When my husband called the store, we were connected to another store where they said they would contact the store we picked up from. They called us back and offered to bring us the sauce or give us a discount. Seriously? Most businesses would offer to refund your money or give you a new set of wings done correctly. We asked them to bring us the sauce. They asked for our address, and directions to our house! You are the restaurant, look it up! An hour later someone showed up at our door with new wings (thank you) but had us give him the old ones back (?). We tried this place due to the positive reviews. Maybe I was expecting more but the pizza wasn't as good as the reviews claimed it should have been. It's ok. My main complaint is the pizza crust. It was way too chewy. The sauce wasn't bad nor the other ingredients but the crust really let me down. There pizza is normally good but tonight my friends and I ordered 5 slices of pizza & when we got home two of them had 1 or 2 pieces of hair baked in the crust . Good enough pizza for the area (which isn't saying too much, but still). Every time I call, the person on the other end is always cordial, which helps in making me call again in the future. The one downside is the price. The listed price on the menu is different from what they charge you, so I always end up asking how it all adds up. This place is awesome. It's by far the best by-the-slice pizza place around. The same guy is always working here, and he's pretty cool. He's never had a bad attitude or messed up my order. With that said, let's move on to the quality of the good. Their hot wings are a-ok, although a little on the greasy side and not as spicy as I normally like them. The pizza on the other hand...yum!!! I think what this place does is have some cheese pizzas already made, and when you order your slice they sprinkle more cheese on a slice and put your toppings on it and run it through the oven. If I'm right, this approach is perfectly okay with me. I haven't tried their delivery services, but when my man friend lives down the street, it isn't necessary. We have been cuatomers for over 10 years. Been through a few changes with them but if you love pizza (we do!) we had the best pizza ever. From anywhere. The City. Anywhere. It was perfect. Extra large Italian Sausage, Olives, Mushrooms and Feta Cheese. Blew our socks off. The crust was perfectly browned and the feta had just turned golden brown. After moving to Castro Valley, we noticed this local pizza place just a couple blocks from us and decided to give it a try. And as of writing this review, we have probably gone there at least 10x now. My husband and I really like that we can customize our pizza slices, which is what we typically order when we are craving pizza or feeling too lazy to cook. You can customize your pizza slice with as many toppings as you want but of course the more toppings, the more expensive your slice will be. My usual order is pepperoni, sausage, and jalapeno ($4.50). You can also order the slices based on their Specials. My husband usually orders the all meat or chicken special by the slice. Their slices are also quite big and I get pretty full from one slice. We usually just phone in the order and than start heading over to the pizza joint and our slices are often already ready to go when we get there. There is also seating in there but there are only 2 small round tables. You can also purchase sauces to go with your pizza. I have also ordered 2 medium pizzas and their chicken wings before and all of my friends really enjoyed everything! And lastly, they have some crazy HUGE sizes such as the macdaddy and the grand-daddy. These sizes would be perfect for parties or large gatherings. I just love how convenient and tasty this pizza place is and will continue to support this family run establishment. read more

Normally this place is my go to pizza place in Castro Valley. Recently I ordered a pizza and breadsticks and when delivered my total was $33.02. I had two twenties and the driver claimed he had no change forcing me to provide and $6.98 tip for him. I felt scammed as I don't know of any pizza place that sends drivers out with no change for their customers. I called the manager and haven't heard back.
