Quality/Quantity - Got a half and half large pizza. Half Nelson and Half Double Combo. Half Nelson - Ricotta Sauce, Fresh & Aged Mozzarella, Ricotta Dollops; Chicken, Onion, Spinach. My daughter's preference of the two. Half Double Combo - Combo and NY combined. So meaty and good. A Little greasy though, but what do you expect from all that meat and all those sausages. My wife and I preferred this one. Beautiful freshly made pizza. Love the thin crispy crust. Baked well. Fresh ingredients, etc. No beers on tap, no happy hour, etc. Decent selection of beers and reasonably priced. I actually chose NOT to drink today, even though I had/have a VERY long day. Atmosphere - Very small local pizzeria. Street parking, free 2 hours. Approximately 4-5 tables/booths; see pictures. Only open for dinner, 5 days a week. Closed Mondays and Tuesdays; see picture of business hours. One clean unisex restroom. Service - 5 stars. Counter service. The cashier, greeter, and server (all the same person) was inviting, professional, and proactive. When we got here at 6pm, there were no tables available. So we squeezed into a two person tiny table. When a booth finally opened up, she invited us to sit there as it was obviously more comfortable. She quickly cleaned the table and area. Loyalty program, see punch card. Price - $38 + generous tip. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2014. My friends have been trying to visit also, so maybe next time I will take them.

    The combo.

I found this place by chance. I was a little skeptical walking in but the pizza was delicious. Crunchy crust and toppings were on point. The vibe inside was cool nothing crazy or special. The pizza speaks for itself. Service was on point, very helpful and super friendly. I got a salad and 12" pie and a Mexican coke. Sat in the corner and read the yelp reviews. Had some good laughs with the comments. If you want a good pie this is definitely the place. Do not listen to the bad reviews.

I'm not the biggest pizza lover, but I do like to have that type of comfort food every so often. My issue is that a lot of places don't offer vegan options because I don't eat cheese or dairy, so a lot of the times, I just don't have pizza. I've heard about Bluebird from a few friends, and I'm surprised to see that they actually have some vegan-friendly pizza, so I decided to give it a try one Friday night. Like their website said, I made sure to order ahead of time, before they open, since it may not be available during peak hours. For myself, I ordered the 12" 'Glass of Heart', and my partner ordered a 16" Combo/Margarita pizza for himself. My pick up time was around 5PM, and when I got there, my order was ready to go. Their restaurant is quite small - just a few booth and a few small tables. At the time that I went, half the tables were taken, but then again, maybe their turnaround time is fairly quick. Either way, I'm glad I opted for pickup this time. Although my interactions with their employees was limited, they're quite friendly and regulars seem to love them! It's a good sign when locals love them. My 'Glass of Heart' pizza came with mushrooms, artichokes, peppadew, and spinach - 6 slices for 12". One thing I like about them is that they just don't use cheese in their vegan pizza. They just make the vegan pizzas extra saucy. There's very few vegan cheese that I like because a lot of the vegan cheese just mix in a lot of other odd ingredients into it to make it taste or feel the way cheese does. Theirs is just a good ole pizza with normal ingredients - I like it. Their crust is not flimsy, a little dense, and has a bite to it. Their tomato sauce is great. A little tangy and sweet. They add a fair amount of toppings to it. As for my partner, he thought his Margarita was a little bare, but other than that, his half Combo, half Margarita really hit the spot for him as well! He particularly liked the tomato sauce on his pizzas. We also noted that the price for each size is pretty equal LOL. It never actually crossed my mind to do this calculation until my partner brought it up, but their prices for the 12" and 16" is fairly (and insignificantly) close! Good on them! Would we be coming back? Definitely! I'm looking forward to trying their vegan combo next time.

If you haven't already tried this place you were soooo missing out the pizza and the staff are freaking amazing. The margarita with pepperoni still rain supreme for me. This is my life hack to get a delicious slice when I most need it. Who would've thunk it you can totally freeze this pizza make it for 30 seconds put it in a flat pan with a little bit of olive oil and voila just like you're having it in her shop.

What does a Vegetarian pizza look like? There is no picture of one on your Yelp page.

Greek pizza has olives and feta cheese. Excellent Vegetarian tomato, bell pepper, mushrooms. But you can add or omit any veges. Tomato sauce is so good!

Is this place food allergy friendly? My kids have dairy, egg, peanut and tree nut allergies.

Probably No. since pizza has to have a cheese and/or pesto sauce which must have pine nuts.

    Do you sell by slice?

YES they DO! Cheese and pepperoni in limited amounts! Call before you go to make sure they have what you need. It's not a by the slice establishment, rather a gourmet pizza specialty shop. One slice, not enough, get the whole pie and be glad you did !

Is the mozzarella cheese rennet free/vegetarian?

Does anyone have a picture of the beer menu, know the beer prices, or any helpful info. besides them having a nice selection? Thank you!

Draft 16oz beers are $5.50. As of March 7, they have Racer 5 IPA and Paulaner. Pitchers are $18.75. Most domestic bottles like North Coast Brewery beers, Anchor Steam, and Drake's are $3.95. Beers like Pranqster, Brother Thelonious, Denogginizer,… Read more

They're definitely on a mission. This one in San Leandro may be 2 years old and is a larger one. I think most of them are in huge spaces now with a large outdoor feature. Here their outdoor area is partially covered, like the sides, but the center is exposed to the open sky. They dot the space with large olive trees, so it has a nice beer garden vibe. We sat in their bar area, and I noticed that even though you are super close to where all the employees are, you get the most do-it-yourself type of service. We had to get our own beers at the bar station, place our food order there and repeat the process anytime we wanted anything more. Now the employees do bring the food out, will clear empties and bring a takeout box if needed. But I think the system is a bit flawed to only allow service personnel to only do partial the work, and create a system for them to avoid customer interaction. But when that tipping prompt comes up on the screen upon paying, the highlighted buttons of 18-20%+ aren't shy at glaring at you front and center. Just an observation and a 2020s cringe for me. I tried 2 of their lagers styles that day as it was pretty warm out and both were really good. Very bold and assertive in the hop ratio, which is a Fieldwork stamp. And what I liked is that they actually tasted fermented in the true lager style which is long, slow and cold. Garlic Fries ($9/4*) Standard and solid garlic fries. Thinner fries, crisp, clean and a good salt presence. A good amount of a cooked garlic is tossed in so isn't that 'spicier' raw garlic type. A dusting of parm is also in the mix. Great with cold crisp beers. Trust. Pepperoni Pizza ($22/3.5*) I remember I tried this same pizza at their San Ramon location and was really impressed with that one. Like a top 5 pizza for me here in the Bay. This one kinda had the similar traits but just wasn't as tight as my original try. The one in San Ramon was crisp throughout, without being overdone. This one was crisp on the outer edges but was limp in the center, so when picking up a slice, a major droop occurred. The pepperonis were totally legit, but the cheese here seemed more wet for some reason. Very milky in taste, but I think it is the reason why the center stayed wet. Again just an observation. Pretty good add for San Leandro, with 21st Amendment closing within the year. This keeps San Leandro a strong brew destination still with Drake's nearby still in the fray. I'm sure I'll be back, just don't love their mode of service chosen.
