We were looking for pizza in the we town of Chester. We were visiting the area and were unfamiliar with the restaurants in the area. The Pizza Factory was close so we chose to go there. I was not impressed when I saw the parking lot. It was dirty, but there was a lot of cars so I thought there must be customers. The restaurant was about 3/4 full. The booths were not impressive. Seats were taped up, floor needed sweeping, etc. We ordered a small pizza that we were to share and my husband had a salad bar. The salad bar was okay, dressings were not labeled. I would call it adequate but the chopped romaine looked good. When our pizza arrived it was hot, toppings were good, crust tasted fresh. If you are looking for a decent pizza this place will provide one. If you are looking to impress a date, go somewhere else. We stopped in to place a to-go order tonight, 7/26, and we encountered one of the BEST group of young people working here! So much so, that I had to go onto Yelp tonight to leave this review. This team was respectful, polite, hard working, great attitudes and a great work ethic...I can't say enough, because we don't really see this too much these days. Not a lot of options in Chester so Pizza Factory is a good option that seems to be open 7 days a week. We called in our order and quoted 15 minutes-not bad. However, upon arrival we noticed they put Canadian bacon on what was supposed to be an all veggie pizza. They made another for us at no charge but, at first, were trying to make it like we had ordered the wrong thing. No-not the case at all. So it ended up being about another 20 minutes to re-make it. It's chain pizza and I've had it once at a location near Three Rivers. Sauce has a nice kick to it, veggies were fresh and crust nicely baked. It's reliably decent in a bind-not something I'd seek out. Can't speak for the sit down dining but seemed like a good number of people sitting down for eat-in, along with a steady stream of take out orders. read more

I want to like this place because the location is great as the place is spacious and the food came out quicker than expected. However as with any monopoly this "only" pizza place in Chester doesn't excel in flavor. I ordered cheese and the pesto garlic pizzas along with 2 different flavors of chicken wings and nothing stands out. The pizza is too fluffy both in the dough and the cheese. Pesto is not enough to balance out the garlic in the pizza. The chicken wings are not flavorful enough to be better than fast food chicken wings although they are certainly edible. If you're in the Almanor area, this is a great place to get a pizza. We stay in the country club, which has a closer pizza place. It is faster to call in an order, drive into town, and drive back. The place is nothing fancy (typical pizza joint) but the food is good and worth the drive. read more

We stopped in on a Monday evening after a holiday weekend. We were at the beginning of a roadtrip & needed dinner to grab & get back on the road with. At the cashier the lady was very rude and she took her mask off multiple times near the room where they keep their pizza dough. Don't even get me started about the absolute filthy establishment. The cook had very bushy curly long red hair, was wearing headphones, dirty tee shirt & pants hanging well below his butt--no aprons or hats to keep hair out of food. Ordered a calzone & fillings were cold inside. Salad bar wasn't stocked well or clean. Asked for a knife & it took three times to get a clean one. Me and my best friend had come to Pizza Factory for some food after a long and exhausting day. Hoping to get some pizza and salads, one of the employees had gotten a call for a to-go order. On the phone he had asked the customer if they wanted stuffed crust or not. With me and my friend hearing this of course we wanted to get one of the pizzas with stuffed crust. When ordering, we asked for the pizza to have stuffed crust, the employee refused and said it would take far too long and that the call was for a friend and wasn't able to do it again. when it was only requested for one of our pizza's. We were there May 12th, arriving about 730 pm. We specifically wanted a salad bar, and when we asked if it was going to be refilled, we were told it was "closed". We then ordered a pizza 1/2 veggie and 1/2 combo, and it was truly the worst we've ever gotten from this or any other Pizza Factory. Not sure how to describe the problem, but couldn't tell one half from the other, fresh looking veggies were non-existent almost as if over cooked, however the crust was undercooked. I dont mind paying top dollar for a pizza pie and or some wings. I have had more expensive pizza. So let's get all that out the way. I will complete the circle of thought here momentarily. We are from out of town. We came to stay at local motel. We wanted to grab some food and go for drive around the lake as it was our first time visiting lake almanor. We call in to order. No problem. Go to pick it up and as we pull up to the drive thru window ( which is a plus for people who prefer to not exit the vehicle or for handicapped people who it is harder to get out of vehicle). The gentlman greets us. Stumbles over his words first I heard 21 , then 31 and finally I thought I heard 21. My girl is drive side next to window so I didn't hear clearly. He walks away as if this is all she wrote. We have to ask for ranch. I notice the price said 32. For 10 wings. Yes they are delicious. But small. Lucky the pizza tasted good. Not great. We were not asked if we needed napkins or chilies or cheese packet or ranch. For 32$ this I can tell is the only pizza in town. Pizza plus offer something like 30 wings...bunch of fries....big ass pizza for like 35..36$. And the quality of pizza is better. Not the wings. So if that is the norm around here cool. Lost one star for the price vs. Quality Lost one star for not asking if we needed anything after we paid and recieved the food. We went here today to have a family lunch after shopping in the cute little shops around the main downtown area. We are on vacation so we weren't in a hurry. The pizza place was half full and had one employee. When we walked up to the counter to try to find a menu to figure out what we want, the employee yelled from the back of the kitchen, " I'm just gonna tell you now, it's going to be at least 45 minutes for anything. And I mean anything." It wasn't necessarily the statement, but the super aggressive tone and scowl. Especially when said without a preliminary "hello". I looked at her and said, "It's okay. We aren't in a hurry. But the greeting could have been a little nicer" and she called me a Bi*ch!!! Obviously, we walked out. If we were in a hurry, we wouldn't have gone to pizza without pre-ordering. I also don't think a 45 minute wait for fresh pizza is that unrealistic. Seems fairly normal for a busy place. Hopefully, she isn't he owner. But I am guessing that this place's three star rating is justified...if they hire people like that, I'm sure the good is just as mediocre. We always go each summer with the family on our family reunion getaway the first night. So we were surprised they were open and we were told that our food could take an hour to prepare, because they were so busy and it was a Saturday, we agreed to wait and was it so worth it, the pizza was the best it ever was in the past. The crust was nice and crispy, we devoured 2 extra large pizzas and we will come back. Don't Bother. I really do not like to give bad reviews, but I DO really appreciate others comments. I should have listened and found another place to eat. We were in the National Park all day and were really quite hungry. Pizza, pasta and salads seemed like the perfect choice. I called in a to-go order (we were there to pick it up) around 6:30. They said it'd be ready in 25 minutes. Well, 50 minutes later we walked out with our order. The Pizza and pasta had Bern sitting there - all they had to do was to make the salads.
