We stopped in to place a to-go order tonight, 7/26, and we encountered one of the BEST group of young people working here! So much so, that I had to go onto Yelp tonight to leave this review. This team was respectful, polite, hard working, great attitudes and a great work ethic...I can't say enough, because we don't really see this too much these days. Grateful to the owner for hiring these young folks and MUCH appreciation to the parents who raised these young people right! On a side note: The pizza was absolutely delicious! Not a lot of options in Chester so Pizza Factory is a good option that seems to be open 7 days a week. We called in our order and quoted 15 minutes-not bad. However, upon arrival we noticed they put Canadian bacon on what was supposed to be an all veggie pizza. They made another for us at no charge but, at first, were trying to make it like we had ordered the wrong thing. No-not the case at all. So it ended up being about another 20 minutes to re-make it. It's chain pizza and I've had it once at a location near Three Rivers. Sauce has a nice kick to it, veggies were fresh and crust nicely baked. It's reliably decent in a bind-not something I'd seek out. Can't speak for the sit down dining but seemed like a good number of people sitting down for eat-in, along with a steady stream of take out orders. read more

If you're in the Almanor area, this is a great place to get a pizza. We stay in the country club, which has a closer pizza place. It is faster to call in an order, drive into town, and drive back. The place is nothing fancy (typical pizza joint) but the food is good and worth the drive. read more

I want to like this place because the location is great as the place is spacious and the food came out quicker than expected. However as with any monopoly this "only" pizza place in Chester doesn't excel in flavor. I ordered cheese and the pesto garlic pizzas along with 2 different flavors of chicken wings and nothing stands out. The pizza is too fluffy both in the dough and the cheese. Pesto is not enough to balance out the garlic in the pizza. The chicken wings are not flavorful enough to be better than fast food chicken wings although they are certainly edible. I wish there is more competition but then in a small town it's just not practical. read more

We stopped in on a Monday evening after a holiday weekend. We were at the beginning of a roadtrip & needed dinner to grab & get back on the road with. There were a good amount of people inside, a lot of staff working, and it definitely looked like they had had a longggg holiday weekend in there. A bit of disarray, but nothing that bothered us. I was STOKED when I saw that their salad bar was open. (Salad bars @ pizza parlors are my favorite, no shame in my game!) I got the large takeout salad bar & my hubby got a veggie pizza was sausage. We were surprised by how yummy the pizza was. Lots of good veggies and a VERY generous amount of sausage! (While he was waiting for his pizza, he heard that they were out of meat and we joked later, "no wonder! They pack it on!!") The salad bar was on the smaller side, but it had most of the things I like on my salads, so I was content! You showed up, Pizza Factory! I wasn't originally convinced that it would be anything to write home about, being a chain and all (sorry), but I would definitely come again. read more

I've had this place before and it was great, however this time around the staff was very unprofessional. At the cashier the lady was very rude and she took her mask off multiple times near the room where they keep their pizza dough. Don't even get me started about the absolute filthy establishment. If the health department showed up this place would be shut down. read more

Untrained, unprofessional employees. Cashier didn't know how to accurately take our order; we had to do it twice because he kept double charging us. The cook had very bushy curly long red hair, was wearing headphones, dirty tee shirt & pants hanging well below his butt--no aprons or hats to keep hair out of food. Ordered a calzone & fillings were cold inside. Salad bar wasn't stocked well or clean. Asked for a knife & it took three times to get a clean one. Customers behind us waited 45 minutes for their sandwich order before giving up & demanding a refund. Won't be back again unless the owner makes BIG changes. read more

Me and my best friend had come to Pizza Factory for some food after a long and exhausting day. Hoping to get some pizza and salads, one of the employees had gotten a call for a to-go order. On the phone he had asked the customer if they wanted stuffed crust or not. With me and my friend hearing this of course we wanted to get one of the pizzas with stuffed crust. When ordering, we asked for the pizza to have stuffed crust, the employee refused and said it would take far too long and that the call was for a friend and wasn't able to do it again. when it was only requested for one of our pizza's. And not to mention how everything on the menu is horrendously expensive. Spent over $72 for two pizzas (large) and two salads (small). And to also mention, they had ranch and blue cheese dressing mixed, the salad bar was very unclean and very disorganized and a lot of the pieces of salad looked like it was going bad, disgusting and not labeled either, we had to throw our salads away. read more

After a long hike at Lassen Volcanic Natl Park we headed for lunch here. We ordered XL All Meat Specials for 4 starving people and it was fantastic! The meat was loaded as expected but when it comes to pizza, it is all about the crust! Yes! The crust was done right! It is thin and crunchy just the way I like it! We were there May 12th, arriving about 730 pm. We specifically wanted a salad bar, and when we asked if it was going to be refilled, we were told it was "closed". We then ordered a pizza 1/2 veggie and 1/2 combo, and it was truly the worst we've ever gotten from this or any other Pizza Factory. Not sure how to describe the problem, but couldn't tell one half from the other, fresh looking veggies were non-existent almost as if over cooked, however the crust was undercooked. We've never had a problem there in the past, and writing this off to seeing only two very young employees there. We stopped here for lunch on a cold snowy Sunday. They were open during pandemic while many other businesses in town have shut down. Only takeout, but you can wait in the warm restaurant while they hand toss your pizza. The staff were very friendly and crisped the pizza to request, with good fresh toppings. I dont mind paying top dollar for a pizza pie and or some wings. I have had more expensive pizza. So let's get all that out the way. I will complete the circle of thought here momentarily. We are from out of town. We came to stay at local motel. We wanted to grab some food and go for drive around the lake as it was our first time visiting lake almanor. We call in to order. No problem. Go to pick it up and as we pull up to the drive thru window ( which is a plus for people who prefer to not exit the vehicle or for handicapped people who it is harder to get out of vehicle). The gentlman greets us. Stumbles over his words first I heard 21 , then 31 and finally I thought I heard 21. My girl is drive side next to window so I didn't hear clearly. He walks away as if this is all she wrote. We have to ask for ranch. I notice the price said 32. For 10 wings. Yes they are delicious. But small. Lucky the pizza tasted good. Not great. We were not asked if we needed napkins or chilies or cheese packet or ranch. For 32$ this I can tell is the only pizza in town. Pizza plus offer something like 30 wings...bunch of fries....big ass pizza for like 35..36$. And the quality of pizza is better. Not the wings. So if that is the norm around here cool. Lost one star for the price vs. Quality Lost one star for not asking if we needed anything after we paid and recieved the food. I will visit again one day to see if we can get this up to 4 star. read more

We went here today to have a family lunch after shopping in the cute little shops around the main downtown area. We are on vacation so we weren't in a hurry. The pizza place was half full and had one employee. When we walked up to the counter to try to find a menu to figure out what we want, the employee yelled from the back of the kitchen, " I'm just gonna tell you now, it's going to be at least 45 minutes for anything. And I mean anything." It wasn't necessarily the statement, but the super aggressive tone and scowl. Especially when said without a preliminary "hello". I looked at her and said, "It's okay. We aren't in a hurry. But the greeting could have been a little nicer" and she called me a Bi*ch!!! Obviously, we walked out. If we were in a hurry, we wouldn't have gone to pizza without pre-ordering. I also don't think a 45 minute wait for fresh pizza is that unrealistic. Seems fairly normal for a busy place. Hopefully, she isn't he owner. But I am guessing that this place's three star rating is justified...if they hire people like that, I'm sure the good is just as mediocre. Too bad...for such a cute town full of vacationers, it's sad to be treated so poorly within 5 seconds of walking in. read more

We always go each summer with the family on our family reunion getaway the first night. So we were surprised they were open and we were told that our food could take an hour to prepare, because they were so busy and it was a Saturday, we agreed to wait and was it so worth it, the pizza was the best it ever was in the past. The crust was nice and crispy, we devoured 2 extra large pizzas and we will come back. Don't Bother. I really do not like to give bad reviews, but I DO really appreciate others comments. I should have listened and found another place to eat. We were in the National Park all day and were really quite hungry. Pizza, pasta and salads seemed like the perfect choice. I called in a to-go order (we were there to pick it up) around 6:30. They said it'd be ready in 25 minutes. Well, 50 minutes later we walked out with our order. The Pizza and pasta had Bern sitting there - all they had to do was to make the salads. Wow!!!!!!... that about sums up the service and quality of pizza served here. We are from the Sacramento area and came up to travel along the Lassen Backroad Discovery trail. Our gas stop in mineral hasnt been open since gas was 1$ per gallon so we drove an additional 30 miles to Chester and on the way in saw a highway sign for the pizza factory. after getting gas we came here. The owner was working the register and quickly let us know that it's going to be about an hour wait since we didnt phone in an order but promised it was worth it. So we waited and let me tell you it was worth the wait. They truly keep to the statement fresh ingredients always. We got the chicken garlic special and you could tell all the ingredients were fresh. There was a great crunch to the green bell peppers and onions and the tomatoes were perfectly ripe and sweet. The bacon was plentiful and the chicken looks like they grilled it in house and then slice it up for your pizza creations. Once again this has been absolutely the best pizza I have had in a long time if not ever. read more

Dishonest business that doesn't stand behind their product. We ordered a spinach and mushroom pizza by phone, wait was an hour, drove 12 miles into town to pick up, paid $30 by card, seemed overpriced for this and menu prices outdated. Got to car and checked, was only a one topping pizza at best, barely any mushrooms and no spinach. I went back in to ask about it and was told very rudely by a man that they were out of spinach. I was shocked they didn't bother to tell me this before I paid and left with it!! He offered no solution to my issue. When I said at least don't charge me for the spinach he said loudly "it's only like a dollar" and he didn't even offer to refund that! After a long silence he said I could order something else but it would be 30 minutes. Evidently, he wasn't even going to put a new order for me at the front of the line.
