Absolutely loved our first visit to Buffalo chips pizza! This was a perfect stop for a late lunch on our way home from the lake on a Monday and we found that very few places in the area are open on Monday, but we were thankful that buffalo chips was. The homey atmosphere of this restaurant welcomes you with Woodsy accents and historical displays. It had a warm ambience on this chilly day plus a fresh salad bar as you enter the restaurant. We opted for the mini pizza with salad bar for $14.99. The salad bar was fresh and offered everything you could want in a salad bar. The pizza came out piping hot and was the one of the best pizzas I've had in a while and could rival any of the top pizza restaurants in any larger city. They have a lot of other menu items like chicken, wings, appetizers and hot sandwiches that looked equally delicious. The service was friendly and gave us a to go menu that we could order on the way to the lake. Next time we're up and we will definitely do that. Give them a try you won't be disappointed! read more

I have had such a hard time finding good pizza where I live. Now I know where to go when I am up in the Chester/Almanor/Westwood area!! Amazing pizza, the dough is perfect, just thick enough to not be cardboard and still doughy. I started with their salad bar, one pass through. I love a good crispy salad and there were some good toppings. I ordered a pizza with canadian bacon on one side and only cheese on the other. I ordered extra cheese also. Light on the sauce. I found out soon enough that I didn't need to have the extra cheese, since they put a good amount of cheese on the pizza normally. And, although I was nervous to order the Canadian Bacon, it was true Canadian Bacon. I ate most of the pizza in the restaurant and took home the rest for lunch the next day. I went to buffalo chips today and was really sad about the quality because it used to be my favorite place to go in Westwood. I hate to have to write a bad review but the salad bar was all wilted (I did ask for more lettuce which was a little bit better). And the Parmesan garlic bread was a dry burnt sub roll with garlic and Parmesan powder and some weird tasting butter. read more

Came in for the first time on a Thursday evening to make a to go order. Our cashier/order taker was super friendly. He explained the pizza menu well and we went with the number 2 Cabin Fever (our order takers favorite). We were told it would be a wait as they were busy. We also ordered a salad to go (got to make our own from the salad bar). We ordered two beers (to drink while we waited) wanted Sierra Nevada but they only had one glass left. The server was super nice and offered a substitute-we opted for a Blue Moon. The employee making the pizzas (owner ?) was super nice. While we were there waiting three children came in for pizza and soda and didn't have enough money but he said to go ahead and take the order and what they had to pay (wow!) We waited about minutes until our pizza was ready. What a pizza! It was great with the avocado!! The crust was thin and crisp! Plenty of toppings. This place is a hidden gem. We had the "Cabin Fever" pizza with a side of a pitcher of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. It has a nice looking salad bar but we decided on the Pale Ale instead :-) The "Cabin Fever" pizza was perfectly done and delicious with a little bit of zing to it. We ate half and took the rest home. The next day we heated the leftover pizza on the grill and it came out as good as equally delicious and crispy as it was the day before. read more

We were driving from Reno to Redding and wanted to try something new and local. We found the spot! Definitely worth the few minute drive off the highway. A MUST try is the Cabin Fever. We were all worried about it the avocado, but the employee suggested it and said it was their top seller so we gave it a try. It did not disappoint!! We also had the combo which was a great quality pizza as well. I loved the environment here. You could tell most people were locals and were in for some good, small town food and a sense of community. Staff members were very friendly and were helpful with selecting our menu items. SO impressed with this pizza spot! I was so surprised to find some authentic pizza with beer in Westwood. We got a large pizza abs basically finished the whole thing. You can just tell that the tomatoes and basil was so fresh. The bread was so fluffy and melted into my mouth. The pieces of garlic on top was the best part. We have been here a number of times. Very disappointed with the pizza. Purchased a salami and mushroom pizza. Very little salami and less mushrooms. The crust seems to out of a frozen box, tasted like bread. Reminded me of Papa Murphy's. This is not a compliment. Doesn't have any flavor of home made yeast dough. No air pockets. I ususlly get a mexican or combo or a thin crust margarita or thin crust peperoni. All solid. Buffalo wing are good, sandwiches are ok... nachos are like something you would get at 7-11. This deserves nothing less than 6 stars. This is the best pizza I've had in California. I remember this pizza being beyond exceptional as a kid and I recently went back and it still upholds it's integrity as the best pizza I've had (and I have had amazing pizza)... Do yourself a massive favor and go here, it may ruin all other pizza for you, but it is worth it! Price may be a little high, but every penny is worth it once you fall in love with this spot. Ryan (owner) was not there when I went, but he is one of the most wonderful people in Westwood, he cares about his customers and should be proud of the business he has created. If you are in Westwood or within 30 miles of Westwood, take a detour and made the best decision you can. Great off the beaten path pizza joint. We came Labor Day weekend and no surprise, it was slammed. Great rustic decor and atmosphere, perfect for the location. Staff was very friendly and tables were clean despite them being so busy, so extra points there. Got a large meat lovers (forgot their name for it) and it was very good. Twisted type crust was delicious and sauce had a lot of flavor. Really enjoyed it. My wife got a GF pizza which I didn't expect they'd even have there and she really liked it. Also tried the buffalo wings and they weren't special, too meaty and sauce just kinda fell off with the skin. I'd go back for the pizza for sure, but not the wings. Well this was a great visit to this local pizza joint. Lots of pizza choices and some unique choices. Pizza choice #2 is the most popular. Our group chose the Lumberjack Pizza with all meats. Our group of 4 was pretty well fed with an extra large. Soft drinks are all you can drink. This place was rocking pretty good at 6:30 pm so early arrival you'll have plenty of seating. 5 stars for quality of food for great prepared pie. read more

My family LOVES this pizza when we can get it, but the last couple of times we have wanted it, we have tried calling for 30+ minutes and then given up and gotten food somewhere else.
