This now my 2nd review for the Pizza Factory in Rio Vista. The reason is because I took them up on their "special orders" offer for my meal on this last visit. Long story short, I'm from NYC, and unless it's (rarely) asked for, red sauce on a Calzone is a no no. If you don't know what a calzone is, its a pocket sandwich, made from pizza dough & filled with whatever you want to fill it with. Different versions out there, different cultures, different breads used. This one Italian, except usually-no red sauce used..in my world. So I asked if they could make a special order calzone for me. My wife had the raviolis in sauce with the salad bar.She enjoyed it; nice sauce. My special order Calzone asked for the following ingredients: and confirmed as available. Ricotta cheese, parmesan cheese, and mozzarella cheese mixed with chopped pork meat, a little garlic, & some oregano. Very basic calzone, and it works nicely for my taste. I also asked the crust to be cooked crisp, but not well done. I didn't tell him what proportions of what to use. I trusted his instincts from my previous tastings here. Despite a sudden rush of customers; about 15 people walked in, I kid you not. The staff got busy. Our "special order" was served in less than 10 minutes, and I have to tell you...They nailed it! The Raviolis for my wife came with a side of garlic bread. My NY style white ( No red sauce) special order Calzone was excellent. Just the right blend of the 3 cheeses, and ground pork kept the flavor, texture and moisture of every bite satisfying on my palate. This meal was a Plan B from our original plans for dinner at home. I found it weird I've never been to this pizza factory before. I live out of town the bridge was closed if ykyk I was unable to get my food so I called asking for a cancellation. They said no multiple times. So not only do I not have my food they took my money. After getting on a line with a manager he was very unprofessional and hung up immediately. I also asked for both names I don't not get them. This place was always something I've heard of now I know it's definitely not a good place to get your pizza!!!! Sketchy and unprofessional. I ordered a tomato and basil pizza here on September 7, 2025 and it was completely inedible. The basil must have been spoiled or something went wrong during the cooking process because it left such a strong, bitter taste that the entire pizza was ruined. When I called to give feedback and suggested they check their produce, the staff did not seem concerned. Instead of addressing the issue, they simply asked if I wanted to place another order. I want to be clear that I am not asking for a refund. My intention was only to provide honest feedback so that management could be aware of the problem. If the business wished to respond professionally, they could have replied to my review publicly. After leaving a Google review on September 7, 2025, I began receiving repeated calls from the restaurant's phone number. On September 9, 2025, I received two calls at 11:22 AM and two more at 12:18 PM. I did not request a callback, and there was no reason for the restaurant to be contacting me. The frequency of the calls felt more like harassment than customer service. Between the poor food quality, the dismissive response when I called, and the unwanted calls that followed, this has been one of the worst restaurant experiences I have ever had. Potential customers deserve to know how this business handles honest feedback. I can't believe the horrible customer service from this place and the company! I made an online order and paid with Apple Pay, when I went to pick up my order I asked for a side of pizza sauce and a side of ranch dressing. When I asked how much so I can pay with cash for the sauces since I already paid for the pizza with Apple Pay they waived me away telling me no charge. When I looked at my Apple Pay account a few days later They had added $4.95 for pizza sauce and $4.95 for Ranch. Over $11.00 with tax extra was taken from my account without my authorization or knowledge! I emailed the location per their website with my problem and received no response. I then called the location to talk to someone, they said they would have the manager call me back and I never received a call back. I then emailed again on their website and got a response telling me why there was an extra $11 added to my order , I told them what happened, and explained I would never pay $11 for extra sauce for a medium one topping pizza that I paid $17 for! 2 sides of sauce were almost as much as the FREAKING pizza! I asked for my money to be refunded because I felt it was taken unauthorized without my knowledge and I was never told the price and I was told no charge in the restaurant. I also asked how they could just add a charge after I already authorize the $17. And the payment was done? They never explained how this happened or apologized or return my money they stole!!! I think their business is unethical and corrupt I still have not gotten a refund and at this point I don't believe I will. The pizza was good. I can't say nothing bad about the pizza, but their business practice is highly unprofessional and unethical. I would not recommend anyone to eat there, the little one topping pizza should no way of cost me almost $30. Does anyone even know a place that charges $4.95 for a side of ranch or a side of sauce unfortunately it's a small town and there's not many choices in Rio Vista California for Pizza but I would suggest the extra drive to find a ethical company for pizza, that's just as good or probably even better! read more

Being from New York City, the pizza capital of the USA, I am always weary of trying a new pizza place for the first time, hoping it will be as good as the NYC pizza I am accustomed to. I ordered a medium thin crust pizza with extra cheese, sausage, bell peppers and mushrooms, to go. I had to have a slice right away and when I opened the box I saw a pie that was loaded with each topping. I took a bite and had a pizza orgasm. They mistakenly made a medium and told me to keep it. So, I am a so called "pizza snob" from New Haven, CT ( been in CA first many years but Abeetz is the first ( many pizzas while I'm there ) and yes, I agree with the " snob part. i'm so glad that the restaurant has new owners. The change of ownership is quite noticeable. We ordered a pizza around 4:30 and it was delivered to our house at 5 o'clock. The pizza was well-made and had a generous amount of cheese and pepperoni on it even though we didn't pay any money extra for that I can definitely say that there way of running the restaurant has improved as well as the overall taste of the pizza itself.
