    Patatine fritte e tartufo ($16)
    Brian F.

Bottega is a restaurant located in Yountville that offers Italian food with inspiration from Napa Valley. There's an open kitchen with a lot of space but still has a mixture of upscale and casual interior vibes. This restaurant was one of the only places I found in the area to have reservations for a party of 10 online without needing to call or do a pre-fixe menu. We got here right at our reservation time and were seated at a long table. What I liked were the tagliarini bolognese al centro ($32) and the wagyu polpette ($25). The calamari ($25) was decent and the patatine fritte e tartufo ($16) had big portions but could've used a little salt. The carbonara ($30) was cooked al dente and while we took the suggestion from the server we would've preferred a bit softer. It was a solid and reliable dinner spot that is good for celebratory meals.

My husband and I came here on Mother's Day while we were visiting Napa. In some poor planning on my part, I hadn't realized that we would be on here on Mother's Day weekend, and would probably need a reservation for lunch somewhere, which resulted in me scrambling to get a last-minute reservation the day before. Bottega wasn't our first choice for lunch that day, but it was a decent one, and one of the few restaurants in Yountville that could offer us a lunch reservation that day with our small dog. We had a very good appetizer of burrata with peaches and balsamic pearls. Unfortunately that was the best dish. I got the lasagnetta di zucchine for my main, which was like a version of lasagna with thinly sliced zucchini instead of lasagna sheets. It would be great for anyone who wants a lighter version of lasagna, and it proved to be a good main on this hot day. My husband got the Sophia Loren spaghetti. As with my main, it was good but not amazing. Our server was very nice, and the ambiance was pleasant.

We were in town celebrating my mother-in-law's 60th birthday, and Bottega was a great place for dinner. The restaurant was clean, the atmosphere was inviting, and the staff was friendly and attentive throughout the evening. I shared the Calamari Fritti with my wife. It was crispy and cooked well, but the flavor was just average. I'd give it a 3/5. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't the standout of the meal. The Brasato di Manzo (braised short rib) was excellent and was the days special. It was fork-tender, full of flavor, and cooked perfectly. The presentation was beautiful, and the broccolini was a great side that balanced the richness of the dish. Overall, we had a really good experience and enjoyed celebrating a special occasion here. I'd definitely come back, and I'd absolutely order the Brasato di Manzo again.

We stopped by Bottega for lunch before a wine tasting and were immediately impressed by the beautiful ambiance and top tier service. We started with the Brussels sprouts, which were soft and flavorful, though I personally prefer them a bit crispier. Similar to the carbonara, the added lemon flavor took away from the dish for me and overpowered some of the other flavors that would have otherwise shined. The arancini was excellent with a perfect ratio of rice to filling and an incredible cheese pull that made it a standout appetizer. However, our favorite starter, and arguably our favorite dish of the meal, was the Wagyu meatballs. They were cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful, and paired with a sauce that was absolutely incredible. In fact, they were one of the best things we ate during our entire trip to Napa. I would highly recommend stopping in just to order the meatballs. I was especially excited for the fish, but unfortunately the combination of the salt block and caviar made the dish overwhelmingly salty for my taste. We truly came for the carbonara and were disappointed that it did not live up to our expectations. There were so many elements that would have made it a perfect dish. The pasta was cooked beautifully, the sauce was rich, and the guanciale was perfectly prepared. However, an added citrus or lemon flavor overpowered the classic flavors we were hoping for and took away from what otherwise could have been an outstanding carbonara. The star of the meal was the Raviolo. Between the egg yolk, truffles, brown butter, and the rich filling, every bite was exceptional. It was easily one of the best ravioli dishes I've ever had and a dish I would return for without hesitation. Even the bread service was memorable. The Parmesan and garlic accompaniment was absolutely delicious and set the tone for the meal from the very beginning. While not every dish was a perfect fit for our preferences, the atmosphere, service, and standout dishes made Bottega a memorable stop in Napa. The Raviolo and Wagyu meatballs alone are worth ordering and are dishes we will be thinking about long after the trip is over.

Dined here yesterday and as always it did not disappoint! The ambiance is always amazing and upscale. Our waitress was friendly and personable. I only come for the braised short ribs and they taste better and better each time I'm here. My husband ordered the wagyu burger and said it was delicious. I'll recommend this restaurant every time!

Not sure if portions got smaller or maybe we didn't order enough but I did run our plan through with our waiter and the group left hungry at the end. We've been a few times and always enjoyed our time and the food here. Great flavors, great presentation, but def not good for family-style options for dinner. $2 per person charge for bread and garlic dip (which is delicious) plus their filtered water. Not sure if it's optional but they did just put the bread on the table and found it was added to the bill at the end. I guess it's determined when you don't get bottled water? We got a round of the Passionfruit Margs, which were a hit, as well as their tasty negroni's, and their Prickly Bear Sour (sadly no bear ice cube tonight). Ordered the Octopus, Calamari, and Shaved Brussels Salad for starters. We followed with three pasta dishes: the Agnolotti, Carbonara, and the Spaghetti. Then followed with The Branzino and Short Rib. All this for a party of 3 girls, and 3 guys and we were still hungry. Usually this amount of food at an Italian spot for dinner should suffice but could've easily added 3 more dishes. Was really excited to bring my friends here for a birthday dinner since the BF and I have always loved it but probs just need to order more from the jump next time.

Had our anniversary dinner at Bottega and it was such a solid experience. It's one of those places where bringing a good bottle is 100% worth it--you actually have time to enjoy it since dinner naturally stretches into a relaxed three-course meal. Food was consistently great across the board, and the pacing made the whole night feel easy instead of rushed. Service was attentive without being over the top. Always a reliable spot for a longer, celebratory dinner.

Beautiful restaurant with amazing staff. Went here after tasting wine and the salmon dish was amazing. Forgot phone eats first because I was hungry, but the salmon was cooked perfectly and the rice was creamy and it hit the spot. The wine pair with the salmon dish was wonderful. I asked for what they would pair with it and the staff did not disappoint. The tiramisu dessert was a bit of a let down. I wanted more tiramisu flavor out of it but it tasted more like a chocolate bar ice cream cake. Still a great experience overall.

Great ambiance with fun vibes and helpful and attentive service staff. Dark and moody inside, definitely has a cool Napa vibe. The food was solid. If i could give a 3 1/2 star review, I would, however I will say since I can't it definitely rounds up to a four rather down to a three. I think that the food was well executed and quality. Overall, I thought the Bolognese was a little bit game-y but the hamachi was excellent as was the arincini. I would visit bottega again.

The restaurant is absolutely stunning, and the service is truly top‑notch. I came for a birthday lunch and the staff went out of their way to make it feel special. The bread with garlic dip is dangerously addictive--consider yourself warned! Portion sizes lean on the smaller side for the price (hence the 4 stars vs. 5), but every dish is beautifully prepared with incredibly fresh, flavorful ingredients. Check out our photos and you'll see why Bottega earns such high ratings. My only wish is that the food and drink prices were a bit more reasonable. For us, it's definitely a "special occasion" kind of place, but a memorable one.

We've been back a few more times since our first visit, and this has become one of our favorite Italian restaurants in the area. It's a great spot for both lunch and dinner, and perfect for celebrating special occasions. We've even brought family visiting from Southern California, and every visit has been a great experience. Favorites: Carbonara al Carbone - 5/5 Raviolo - 5/5 (a must-try and by far my favorite) Calamari - 5/5 Tiramisu - 5/5 Other dishes we tried: Bistecca alla Fiorentina (porterhouse steak) - 3.8/5 Decent, but at $175 it's not something we would order again. Burrata - 4/5 (a good, shareable appetizer) Bruschetta - 4/5 (simple and enjoyable; my son especially liked it) Piadina al Salmon - 4/5 Arancini - 3.8/5 (good, but not enough to share among six people) Insalata Cesar (Caesar salad) - 4/5 Costolette di Manzo - 4/5 (braised short rib that was tender and full of flavor) We recently celebrated a birthday dinner here, and the service was excellent. Our waiter was attentive to our needs. Reservations are recommended especially on the weekends, as it does get busy, though walk-ins are sometimes possible. Overall, this is a great place with good food, good service, and a welcoming atmosphere. .

Bottega in Yountville delivers the kind of Italian dining experience that feels perfectly at home in Napa Valley--refined, welcoming, and deeply satisfying. I visited with friends during a relaxed day outing, and the restaurant's ambience immediately set the tone: warm, lively, and polished without feeling pretentious. It's the sort of place that invites you to linger. We began with the intention of ordering calamari, only to learn they had run out--a minor disappointment quickly remedied by our server's recommendation of the polpo alla griglia. It turned out to be a standout: tender, beautifully grilled, and full of flavor, proving the kitchen knows exactly how to let quality ingredients shine. The burrata caprese followed, fresh and creamy, a classic done right. For the main, I ordered the carbonara al carbon, and it was excellent--rich, balanced, and indulgent without being heavy. The ultimate compliment: I finished every bite. Service throughout the meal was attentive and friendly, enhancing the overall experience without ever interrupting it. In short, Bottega delivers on all fronts--pleasant ambience, thoughtful service, and genuinely delicious food. A strong choice for a Napa Valley outing and a restaurant I'd happily return to.

Had a great experience here, wonderful staff and the food was good. The ambience is nice, good for a night out with family or your loved ones. Calamari for appetizer, crispy, good bite too it, almost a snapping sensation, not rubbery. 5/5 Tuna tartare with caviar, special of the night 5/5, super tasty. Brodetto ai fruitti di Mare 5/5 Seafood was very fresh, the croutons were insanely good. Complimentary dessert, also very good. Great experience overall.

    Ask the Community - Bottega

    Do they corkage?

Yes - I forget the fee, somewhere between $30 - $50.00 per bottle & it must be a bottle that they do NOT carry

    What is dress code?

    Casual

    Are children allowed?

    Yes.

How far in advance can you make a reservation?

Hi Amy, On weekdays they usually have plenty of spots open and can make reservations the same day. Weekends, I would check at least a week in advance.

Is there a limit to group dining during COVID?

Are there kids menu? Or at least can we ask make cheese pizza for kids?

No they don't have a kids menu, but they've always been accommodating (ie, plain pasta with butter). I suppose it all depends on the day if the kitchen wants to be nice.

Planning on going for lunch. Should I ask for patio seating or inside? Which is better?

The outside is lovely and fully covered. I have been on both sunny and rainy days and had a wonderful time.

Would anyone know if they are currently open for outdoor dining? Thanks!

Yes! They have a beautiful covered patio outside.

Is dog allowed for outdoor seating?

Yup, was there last Friday with our dog Zoe, they even brought her water. She's just a pet, not a service dog. You should mention it when you reserve, though.

    Is there outdoor seating?

    Yes

    Are there private dining rooms?

    Yes!

We arrived about 30 minutes late, but the staff were incredibly kind and accommodating. We were seated right away and greeted warmly, which immediately made the experience feel relaxed despite us running behind. The one thing I knew I had to try here was their famous buttermilk fried chicken. Although I probably should have checked the menu more carefully beforehand, I was a little surprised to find out that Ad Hoc offers a fixed $69 menu, and everyone seated has to participate. I was even more surprised to learn that the famous fried chicken is actually an add-on to the set menu. The whole thing kind of felt like Hermès, where you have to buy all the other restaurant offerings first just to get access to the thing you really came for--the chicken. Lol. Regardless, we went with the set menu and added one order of the fried chicken, which was more than enough to share among four people. It ended up being a great lunch before a full afternoon of wine tastings. The meal started with crudités, and the vegetables were beautifully presented and very fresh. The dip leaned more like a hummus-ranch sauce, which was lighter and not as thick as I personally prefer, so this course was probably my least favorite. Still, it was a nice, refreshing way to start the meal. The main course was pork, which I initially wasn't too excited about because I was still mentally waiting for the chicken. But honestly, it was absolutely delicious. The meat was tender, flavorful, and cooked to literal perfection. It ended up being one of the best pork dishes I've ever had, and I would happily order it again. The fried chicken was, of course, amazing. The batter and skin were crispy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned, while the inside was juicy, moist, and cooked beautifully. It's genuinely impressive how they manage to make fried chicken taste this perfect and consistent. Dessert was peach cobbler, and even though I'm not usually much of a dessert person, I really enjoyed it. It was warm, comforting, and a sweet way to end the meal. Overall, Ad Hoc was such a fun and satisfying way to start our Napa weekend. While the fixed menu setup and chicken add-on were a little unexpected, the quality of the food made the experience worth it. The pork was a surprise standout, the chicken lived up to the hype, and the service was warm from start to finish. I'd definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a relaxed but elevated Napa meal--especially if you're going for that famous fried chicken.

The fish tastes so fresh and their ikura is not overly salty and smaller than other ikuras i've had. The best part though i think is the seasoned rice. The rice is so flavorful yet doesn't take away from the fish. You don't need to add additional soy sauce or wasabi either. The caviar tasting is pretty cool. Feels like a good deal since you get to taste 6 different caviars. Another highlight is the oysters. I was a bit hesitant about ordering the oysters at $6ea but definitely don't skip on it. They use ichiban ousters from skagit bay and it was so creamy and light tasting. The yuzu mignonette went perfectly with it as well. One thing they do really well are their vegetables. The interior and exterior are all so pretty and make you feel so relaxed. Definitely stop by for some great food! They do have happy hour that i just missed but check it out on their website, it makes it slightly cheaper

Once inside, you're greeted with warm smiles and an incredibly welcoming, professional staff. Watching the team move throughout the dining room was like watching a perfectly choreographed dance--every detail was seamless. Then the food arrived... wow. I was speechless. We chose the Chef's Tasting Menu, and every course--from the very first bite to the very last--was phenomenal. It was the best dining experience I've ever had. Every dish was thoughtfully and intentionally crafted, with flavors that came together to tell a story. What made it even more special was knowing that much of the produce comes directly from their beautiful garden. To top it all off, we were invited into the kitchen at the end of the meal. It was immaculate, and watching such a talented, organized team at work was incredible. If you're lucky enough to snag a reservation and want a truly once-in-a-lifetime dining experience, do it. The fact that she wanted come back was an indicator that this restaurant would be a good experience as Mom has very high standards. According to Anthony Bourdain, "A bouchon is a uniquely Lyonnaise institution, a casual, laid-back kind of a pub/bistro with a limited, usually old-school menu and always, always an unpretentious vibe. People come here to unwind, to relax, and to eat with abandon." Bouchon is chef Thomas Keller's (The French Laundry) heartfelt homage to the traditional French bistro in Napa Valley's charming 1.5 square mile town of Yountville. Located across the street from V Marketplace on Washington Street, we easily found free parking in the lot adjacent to the market. The restaurant is housed in a cozy red building that sits right next door to its sibling bakery. Decorated with whites, reds and marble tones, the velvet banquette seating and polished brass accents pop out through the wood furnishings and mosaic floor design. Upon entry, we were warmly greeted and promptly seated. The place was buzzing with almost every table occupied in the tightly-seated dining room. The seasons dictate what's on offer at Bouchon. The menu features a variety of traditional French dishes that perfectly highlight the essence of bistro dining. Upon seating, we were served a complimentary ramekin of pistachios alongside some butter and pain d'épi, the classic "stalk of wheat" variation on the classic baguette. Below are what we ordered: Escargots de Bourgogne ($19.75) - Six Burgundy snails cooked in parsley-garlic butter, each topped with Bouchon Bakery's puff pastry, were all absolute perfection, as expected. Soupe à l'Oignon ($19.75) - A true test of a French bistro is its French onion soup, and Bouchon's comforting, piping hot bowl of caramelized sweet onions, savoury beef jus, topped with country bread and melted Comté cheese, did not disappoint. Served in a proper vessel? Yes. Baked with a toasted baguette slice and ooey, gooey cheese topper? Check. The flavour of the soup base was also richly robust. I couldn't decide between the Saumon Poêlé ($38.00) and the Steak Frites ($47.50). Since our waiter said that I could have a side of the sauce au poivre from the Poitrine de Boeuf au Poivre ($45.00) with the Steak Frites, I had to go this route as it's one of my favourites. No regrets at all on my choice; I savoured every bite of the delicious pan-seared prime flat iron steak topped with maitre d'hôtel butter and side of crispy French fries. The additional sauce au poivre was the cherry on top. Steak Frites truly is the quintessential bistro entrée and Bouchon's was excellent. Service was great. As a sweet birthday gift, Mom was given a pack of chocolate brownies, served on a plate alongside a lit candle to blow and make a wish. Dinner was remarkable. I'm not surprised that Mom chose to return here for her birthday dinner. I loved Bouchon so much that it's now my favourite restaurant in Napa Valley. Yes, I was able to decide this from my first visit. I most definitely will return. It's a must!

The Chef from Chicago (wish I could remember his name) really killed his sauce and there was a Thai one I like especially a lot too. Maybe each chef doing their own version of the pork belly and not just the sauce would show case their particular style and twist on it. I'd go again though. Keep it up guys!

The few other tables around us had the same experience. By the time the food got here my glass of wine was already done. They brought up my wife's salad but no utensils. That took another few mins. Why not bring it up at the same time? You're already 40 mins in to this? Then the chicken sandwich comes up. Looks great but the bottom bun is wet like it's been soaking in water. My wife walks it back and they give us a new one. But again, more time. We're 55 mins in at this point. I expect a restaurant in Yountville to be run a bit better than this. Management, you all need to step up on this one and fix this.

Good lemon flavor and not too tart and sour. The patrons next to us had the beef cheeks. Lots of patrons ordered bone marrow too. I know I want to order those two next time! Service was great.
