Bottega never disappoints ! The food is unique and delicious. The atmosphere is quaint and the service / hospitality is always on point. The prices are good especially for Yontville and the quality of food. I highly recommend this place for any occasion.

After a disappointing start to the evening at another Napa restaurant, Bottega completely turned the night around. We were able to grab one of the last reservations of the evening, and after the short drive over, we were seated right at our 9:00 reservation time. From the moment we walked in, the hosts were warm and welcoming, and we knew we had made the right decision. One of the managers, Stephen, stopped by our table and welcomed us with complimentary glasses of Prosecco for the birthday celebration, which was such a thoughtful touch. Our server was attentive, friendly, and made sure we were taken care of throughout the evening. We started with the Pasta Fritta con Prosciutto--crispy, rosemary-scented pasta dough wrapped in prosciutto with mascarpone espuma, honey, and Parmigiano Reggiano. It was the perfect balance of savory and sweet. We also shared the Caesar Nero, made with little gem lettuce, black garlic, and Parmigiano crostini, which was fresh and flavorful. For cocktails, we both ordered the Porch Punch. Made with Redwood Empire Pipe Dream 101, yellow peach, oolong tea, lemon, vanilla, and clarified using the milk punch process, it tasted like a refreshing peach tea. The etched ice cubes with wine glasses and utensils were a small detail that made the presentation even more memorable. For our entrées, Face ordered the Salmon Risotto, while I had the Carbonara. The carbonara is topped with an activated charcoal Parmesan tuile, and while it looks dramatic, it doesn't change the flavor at all--it simply adds a beautiful presentation. The pasta was rich, creamy, and absolutely delicious. Bottega didn't just serve us an incredible meal--they rescued what could have been a very disappointing birthday dinner. The hospitality, service, and food were exceptional, and I'd happily make the drive back to Yountville again.

Excellent place for a birthday dinner! Ambience special and service is very attentive. The food was delicious! I ordered the pollo allá diavola and it was perfection. I tried some of my brother's bolognese and it was good. The tiramisu was off the charts! Tiramisu is usually a hit or miss for me, but this one was one I will rave about for a while. The flavors here were truly spectacular.

Bottega is one of our favorite Italian places. Julia made this evening very special with her knowledge and welcoming spirit. She helped us navigate the large menu to make the evening fantastic. Tonight we had the squash blossoms, pesce crudo, salmon risotto, peach burrata and peach tart. Unlike many places, the chef created delicate seasoned items that touched our palettes with different tastes that all worked well like a well tuned orchestra. We like restaurants that go the extra mile to provide linen tablecloths and new place settings for each course. The servers , back servers and management were all involved in this excellent experience. When all worked well together, what else can we do but give them 5+ stars. Some of the attached pictures are from previous meals.

Bottega is a restaurant located in Yountville that offers Italian food with inspiration from Napa Valley. There's an open kitchen with a lot of space but still has a mixture of upscale and casual interior vibes. This restaurant was one of the only places I found in the area to have reservations for a party of 10 online without needing to call or do a pre-fixe menu. We got here right at our reservation time and were seated at a long table. What I liked were the tagliarini bolognese al centro ($32) and the wagyu polpette ($25). The calamari ($25) was decent and the patatine fritte e tartufo ($16) had big portions but could've used a little salt. The carbonara ($30) was cooked al dente and while we took the suggestion from the server we would've preferred a bit softer. It was a solid and reliable dinner spot that is good for celebratory meals.

We stopped by Bottega for lunch before a wine tasting and were immediately impressed by the beautiful ambiance and top tier service. We started with the Brussels sprouts, which were soft and flavorful, though I personally prefer them a bit crispier. Similar to the carbonara, the added lemon flavor took away from the dish for me and overpowered some of the other flavors that would have otherwise shined. The arancini was excellent with a perfect ratio of rice to filling and an incredible cheese pull that made it a standout appetizer. However, our favorite starter, and arguably our favorite dish of the meal, was the Wagyu meatballs. They were cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful, and paired with a sauce that was absolutely incredible. In fact, they were one of the best things we ate during our entire trip to Napa. I would highly recommend stopping in just to order the meatballs. I was especially excited for the fish, but unfortunately the combination of the salt block and caviar made the dish overwhelmingly salty for my taste. We truly came for the carbonara and were disappointed that it did not live up to our expectations. There were so many elements that would have made it a perfect dish. The pasta was cooked beautifully, the sauce was rich, and the guanciale was perfectly prepared. However, an added citrus or lemon flavor overpowered the classic flavors we were hoping for and took away from what otherwise could have been an outstanding carbonara. The star of the meal was the Raviolo. Between the egg yolk, truffles, brown butter, and the rich filling, every bite was exceptional. It was easily one of the best ravioli dishes I've ever had and a dish I would return for without hesitation. Even the bread service was memorable. The Parmesan and garlic accompaniment was absolutely delicious and set the tone for the meal from the very beginning. While not every dish was a perfect fit for our preferences, the atmosphere, service, and standout dishes made Bottega a memorable stop in Napa. The Raviolo and Wagyu meatballs alone are worth ordering and are dishes we will be thinking about long after the trip is over.

We had a great time. Service was outstanding. The restaurant is very nice. We started with a Wagyu Polpette (meatball) that was gristly, to be honest, so that put me off. But the rest of our meal was outstanding. My husband had the Gnocchi and I had Salmon with Corn Risotto - both entrees were delicious. Affogatos were a great ending to our meal, and we appreciated Happy Anniversary wishes from Bottega.

First time here. Came for lunch with 7 friends after a morning of wine tasting. We had reservations. It looked busy so it may be best to make reservations. I ordered the Branzino alla Griglia which is wood grilled branzino with lemon preserve sauce, heirloom tomato panzanella insalatina. It was good but the branzino was a bit salty. I didn't say anything as another friend of mine ordered the Lasagnetta di Zucchine & mentioned the potatoes weren't cooked & the lasagna was a bit burnt. She mentioned something to the staff & manager. They were going to make her another one but she didn't want it or anything else. I didn't want to say anything as I didn't want to look like we're just complaining about everything. My other friends ordered the carbonera & steak & raviolo. They enjoyed their dishes. The steak comes with a lot of fries. My friend couldn't finish the fries at all but definitely fries can be shared. I Loved the salad that came with my branzino especially the heirloom tomatoes. It really helped with the saltiness. We Also ordered the calamari & the wagyu meatballs. The calamari was really good especially the aioli nero sauce was perfect with it. I didn't try the wagyu meatballs but everyone loved it especially the sauce. I actually loved the butter garlic sauce that comes with the bread. They charge $2 for bread. Staff were friendly. Overall I'm really glad I tried this place. Beautiful decor. Really nice & dark inside. They also have patio seating but I'm not sure I'd come back. It wasn't so amazing that I would come back. Possibly it's what I ordered. I'm not sure.

We were in town celebrating my mother-in-law's 60th birthday, and Bottega was a great place for dinner. The restaurant was clean, the atmosphere was inviting, and the staff was friendly and attentive throughout the evening. I shared the Calamari Fritti with my wife. It was crispy and cooked well, but the flavor was just average. I'd give it a 3/5. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't the standout of the meal. The Brasato di Manzo (braised short rib) was excellent and was the days special. It was fork-tender, full of flavor, and cooked perfectly. The presentation was beautiful, and the broccolini was a great side that balanced the richness of the dish. Overall, we had a really good experience and enjoyed celebrating a special occasion here. I'd definitely come back, and I'd absolutely order the Brasato di Manzo again.

My husband and I came here on Mother's Day while we were visiting Napa. In some poor planning on my part, I hadn't realized that we would be on here on Mother's Day weekend, and would probably need a reservation for lunch somewhere, which resulted in me scrambling to get a last-minute reservation the day before. Bottega wasn't our first choice for lunch that day, but it was a decent one, and one of the few restaurants in Yountville that could offer us a lunch reservation that day with our small dog. We had a very good appetizer of burrata with peaches and balsamic pearls. Unfortunately that was the best dish. I got the lasagnetta di zucchine for my main, which was like a version of lasagna with thinly sliced zucchini instead of lasagna sheets. It would be great for anyone who wants a lighter version of lasagna, and it proved to be a good main on this hot day. My husband got the Sophia Loren spaghetti. As with my main, it was good but not amazing. Our server was very nice, and the ambiance was pleasant.

Not sure if portions got smaller or maybe we didn't order enough but I did run our plan through with our waiter and the group left hungry at the end. We've been a few times and always enjoyed our time and the food here. Great flavors, great presentation, but def not good for family-style options for dinner. $2 per person charge for bread and garlic dip (which is delicious) plus their filtered water. Not sure if it's optional but they did just put the bread on the table and found it was added to the bill at the end. I guess it's determined when you don't get bottled water? We got a round of the Passionfruit Margs, which were a hit, as well as their tasty negroni's, and their Prickly Bear Sour (sadly no bear ice cube tonight). Ordered the Octopus, Calamari, and Shaved Brussels Salad for starters. We followed with three pasta dishes: the Agnolotti, Carbonara, and the Spaghetti. Then followed with The Branzino and Short Rib. All this for a party of 3 girls, and 3 guys and we were still hungry. Usually this amount of food at an Italian spot for dinner should suffice but could've easily added 3 more dishes. Was really excited to bring my friends here for a birthday dinner since the BF and I have always loved it but probs just need to order more from the jump next time.

Had our anniversary dinner at Bottega and it was such a solid experience. It's one of those places where bringing a good bottle is 100% worth it--you actually have time to enjoy it since dinner naturally stretches into a relaxed three-course meal. Food was consistently great across the board, and the pacing made the whole night feel easy instead of rushed. Service was attentive without being over the top. Always a reliable spot for a longer, celebratory dinner.

Bottega was, by far, one of the best restaurants we visited in Napa Valley. From the moment we walked in, the beautiful ambiance, outstanding service, and incredible food made for a memorable dining experience. The lamb shank was absolutely delicious--an easy 5 out of 5. We also had the Wagyu beef carpaccio, which was excellent, the octopus, which was perfectly prepared, and the raviolo, which was rich and flavorful. Every dish we ordered was outstanding. If you're visiting Napa Valley, I highly recommend making a reservation at Bottega. It's located in a beautiful town, the restaurant itself is gorgeous, and the food is exceptional. We would absolutely love to come back on our next visit.

    Ask the Community - Bottega

    Do they corkage?

Yes - I forget the fee, somewhere between $30 - $50.00 per bottle & it must be a bottle that they do NOT carry

    What is dress code?

    Casual

    Are children allowed?

    Yes.

How far in advance can you make a reservation?

Hi Amy, On weekdays they usually have plenty of spots open and can make reservations the same day. Weekends, I would check at least a week in advance.

Is there a limit to group dining during COVID?

Are there kids menu? Or at least can we ask make cheese pizza for kids?

No they don't have a kids menu, but they've always been accommodating (ie, plain pasta with butter). I suppose it all depends on the day if the kitchen wants to be nice.

Planning on going for lunch. Should I ask for patio seating or inside? Which is better?

The outside is lovely and fully covered. I have been on both sunny and rainy days and had a wonderful time.

Would anyone know if they are currently open for outdoor dining? Thanks!

Yes! They have a beautiful covered patio outside.

Is dog allowed for outdoor seating?

Yup, was there last Friday with our dog Zoe, they even brought her water. She's just a pet, not a service dog. You should mention it when you reserve, though.

    Is there outdoor seating?

    Yes

    Are there private dining rooms?

    Yes!

The French Laundry was an extraordinary experience from beginning to end…read more We arrived early and spent some time in the courtyard before being welcomed inside and seated beside the fireplace. What impressed me immediately was how thoughtfully they had prepared for my visit. I use a mobility scooter, and we later learned that the team had discussed my comfort and movement before we even arrived. The seating was perfect, and everything felt completely natural. The service was exceptional. It was precise and seemingly effortless--from the kitchen to the front of house, every detail was executed flawlessly without ever feeling rehearsed or mechanical. And the food was incredible. One of the highlights was a tomato dish featuring ten different varieties, all grown in the garden across the street. Absolutely amazing. At the end of the evening, we were invited into the kitchen, which was an incredible treat and honor. I was struck by how calm, quiet, and immaculate it was. I forgot to photograph the accessible restrooms that night, so we returned two days later. The staff graciously welcomed us back and allowed us to photograph the two large accessible restrooms. The French Laundry is an unforgettable dining experience--not only because of the food, but because of the thoughtfulness, precision, and genuine hospitality behind it. An absolutely wonderful evening.

The oysters and pearls were 10 out of 10 . Everything else that followed, was mediocre at best. The most expensive Michelin dinner I've had and by far the worst. The plates that came had no taste in some cases, others seemed prepped much earlier in the day and not fresh made to order. Like at a wedding, premade. Thomas wasn't there and it showed. I heard he is retiring and not selling the place, makes sense. Tasted like it too. What a rip off, that's how me and my wife felt, ripped off paying for a brand that ran its course. Save your money and head to mustards. 1/6 of the price and 10x better!!!

Bouchon was so delightful and I'm so glad they went above and beyond for us…read more We had quite an ambitious schedule for our group that day... we visited three wineries between 10am - 4pm. So by the time that we got to Bouchon, you know we were... not acting right lolololl One of our friends in our group may have had a little bit too much, and may have needed some assistance to the bathroom within the first five minutes. One of the servers watched us stumble to the bathroom and she followed us to make sure we were OK. She stuck her head in and offered to get us some bags if possible, and that "Napa gets the best of us." She was such a nice lady and wish we had gotten her name. I thought she was gonna kick us out! When we got back from the bathroom, our friends had already ordered. We got the French onion soup, chicken poulette, steak frites, escargot, beef tartare, and salmon rillettes. All of these dishes are pretty standard French fare. A lot of of them had expected flavors and more average side. I did, however, really enjoyed the French onion soup, steak frites and salmon rilletes. The French onion soup was warm and comforting, and amazing during our drunk stupor LOL. Gooey and cheesy, the bread on top was toasty and crisp. The steak frites, ordered medium rare, was very tender and delicious -- cooked perfectly with great flavors. I've never had salmon rilletes and really enjoyed the different herbs and toppings. The chicken poulette was quite a letdown. It looked really good, but it was a little plain to me. This was supposed to be a little before dinner meal, but honestly, this was filling for all six of us. Thank you Bouchon for a wonderful meal Also props for accommodating us, even though we came in 10-15 minutes before dinner service! We appreciate it!

The staff were super nice and gave us a few recommendations, but we ended up going with the Grilled CAB Hanger Steak and the Soupe à l'Oignon. The steak was incredibly tender and juicy, with a beautiful seared outside. The beef had that deep, rich flavor and the roasted garlic added a little sweetness. But the bone marrow butter was something else. It basically melted right into the steak, adding this buttery, savory flavor that made the meat even more indulgent. But for me, the real star was the Soupe à l'Oignon. This might honestly be the best French onion soup I've ever had, even better than some I've had in Paris. The broth was deep, rich, and full of onion flavor, while the onions themselves were incredibly soft and almost melted into the soup. Then came the cheese. That first pull when you lift the spoon was insane. Creamy, salty, and slightly toasted, it mixed with the hot broth and sweet onions perfectly. Every spoonful had layers of flavor. Rich broth, sweet caramelized onions, melted cheese, and that toasted bread underneath. It was comforting, hearty, and exactly what I wanted from a French onion soup. Bistro Jeanty gave me a little taste of Paris all over again.

Did a day trip out to Napa just so I can eat at Bistro Jeanty again. Between my last review and now…read morethe food only got better. We came here for lunch this time and found the experience much more intimate and much more pleasant. Tara was our waitress and her and the crew did a phenomenal job; our bread was never empty and so were our waters. Chef's Kiss for service alone. As for the food we ordered the heirloom tomato salad, escargot, the steak en frites with bone marrow, and mussels. The star of the show was the tomato salad and the mussels, why? Because they're in season. The mussels were served in a generous pile and were delivered straight to the restaurant the morning of. It's as freshest as it gets when you eat right when they open. Mussels were clean, sweet and left us feeling absolutely full. Highly recommend asking for more bread to with the soup for of this dish. As for the tomato salad, I can see why they say tomatoes are fruits. These were naturally super sweet with the perfect crunch. The fresh basil on top tied everything together perfectly. Last but not least the escargots and steak. The escargots are a must here, don't even debate it. As for the steak I loved it as well, but I loved just the normal steak and fries more. Different cut, less heavy. Overall, Bistro Jeanty is a must visit and non negotiable for my girlfriend and I when we visit Napa. Truly consistently good food, great service, and very charming space.
