We stopped by here for lunch a few weeks back and weren't disappointed. We got some seasonal lemon ricotta raviolis and they were amazing. All of the pasta here is freshly made in-house and comes with a choice of I believe, soup or salad. They also have a large selection of desserts in their pastry case to choose from, so I highly recommend the cheesecake or ganache chocolate cake. Prices also cannot be beat!

Solid 4 stars. I really enjoyed the pink sauce on my dinner, but my linguini was a little on the overcooked side and clumped together. Next time I would choose the pink space with either a penne or fusilli. The minestrone soup was fantastic, hearty and filled with an assortment of vegetables. My husband loved the fusilli with Calabrese sauce and said the meatball was really good. The focaccia bread is a great starter. The crab cakes are a pass. The restaurant itself is small and in an unassuming area. While this isn't the most romantic date night the restaurant is a solid place to grab some home cooked food! I will definitely come back to try some of their other dishes.

Last night after watching my great granddaughter do her thing at Impact Sports in Galt, we had dinner at Pastosa by Lucia! First off, I have to say that I don't really enjoy going out for Italian food because I come from a long line of Italian food. For me, the pasta is rarely served aldente and is disappointing. My granddaughter chose the restaurant and I was quite surprised by how good the food was! It's a gem of a find, tucked away in an industrial area not far from the freeway. The dining room is is small and intimate and at 6:30pm on a Tuesday evening was packed with about 4 parties waiting for seating. We decided to eat outside at their patio area at even though it was hot out, we were comfortably shaded with a nice breeze blowing by. Within minutes of seating ourselves, we were greeted by our server who handed us menus and took our drink order. No full bar but a small but nice selection of beer, wine and soft drinks. The menu consisted of a wide variety of hand made ravioli with a nice selection of complimentary sauces. They also make suggestions for paring pasta and sauces. Dishes come with focaccia bread and choice of soup or salad. All the pasta is handmade and cooked to perfection! I originally ordered linguine but was informed they ran out so I had the rigatoni in a spicy calabrese sauce and added a meatball for an additional $6. So worth it! My wife had the pear-cheese ravioli in a sage and brown butter sauce that was delicious. She also had a French onion soup that was pretty amazing. Overall, the experience was wonderful, the food was absolutely delicious, the service was friendly and efficient given how busy the restaurant was and it's great finding a hidden gem like this so close to home. We will definitely be back again soon.

The FOOD is AMAZING!!! The service, Impeccable. The ambiance, it's an industrial warehouse BUT the food and service earns them 5 stars. My new favorite Italian restaurant in Northern California.

All I wanted for my birthday was chicken parm. I made a post on Facebook and someone recommended this place. I live in Stockton so it was about a 20 min drive and it was worth it! It's just a cute place. The service was so fast! The food was AMAZING! I could have done without the pasta actually. Only down side was the breading came off the chicken and the soup wasn't very hot (but that's just me being picky) the food was DELICIOUS! I'll definitely be making the drive back! Plus the BREAD omg so good!!!!!

Omg what a hidden gem in the most unsuspecting place! Was in the sacramento area and was craving pasta. This restaurant has stellar reviews on Google and yelp so I decided to give them a try Simple decor, great service and amazing food. I am taken. Back by the freshness, flavor and how perfectly they cook their pasta. The ravioli was plump they didn't skimp on the ingredients. This is a small business that's doing things right. The prices are fair and I hope they stay open for a long time. I will certainly return

Great food every time we go, pasta is homemade and fresh every time. Try the fried zucchini! So good

Saturday, October 11, 2025 / About 1PM Like others have previously commented, this place is a hidden gem on the backroads of Galt, CA. A friend who had been there before suggested the place, but I had my doubts that an any restaurant in Galt, (no offense to Galt) located in an industrial area, could offer delicious Italian food. I was wrong. Ordered the, "Crazy Lasagna" and it was absolutely yummy. Filled with sausage, salami & pepperoni, packed between tender layers of pasta, drenched in a finely crafted savory tomato sauce, this is a signature offering. Also, the volume of the food was quite plentiful, and my companions could not finish their orders and all needed take-home boxes. I completely devoured my order, since it was so tasty. Price is quite reasonable as well. The meal also came with a salad and a generous helping of homemade bread. (I used some of the bread to soak up all the remaining pasta sauce on my plate.) Found the staff to be very friendly. (I asked for some Tabasco sauce, since I like peppery flavored tomato paste, and the chef prepared a little spicy side sauce for me, which totally complimented the flavor, at no extra charge or extra attitude.) The restaurant atmosphere has a pleasant, locally owned and operated feeling, offering both indoor and outdoor seating. So if you're passing through Galt on Highway 99, and are in the mood for some wonderful Italian food, this restaurant is a must visit.

What a hidden gem! Pastosa by Lucia is tucked away in the industrial part of Galt, and at first the location and industrial vibe might throw you off, but trust me--the food makes it all worth it. We started with the fried zucchini, which was surprisingly well-seasoned and perfectly crunchy. The meatball appetizer was also really good--tender, flavorful, and comforting. The salad with their house-made dressing was fresh and delicious, and the focaccia bread deserves its own shout-out--so moist, fluffy, and just plain addictive. For pasta, we tried four different raviolis: butternut squash, mushroom, sausage, and artichoke heart, each with a different sauce (pink, brown butter sage, red velvet, and Calabrese). All of them were flavorful and well done, but the brown butter sage sauce stole the show--it was easily my favorite pairing of the night. We ended on a sweet note with their limoncello tiramisu, which was light, refreshing, and the perfect finish. On top of all that, the owners are so nice and clearly passionate about what they do, and the staff was super friendly and efficient. It really makes the whole experience warm and welcoming. Special shout-outs: Blushing Sprig provided the floral décor, which was so pretty and added to the vibe, and Clarity Crafted brought in custom rubber stamps for decorating, which was such a fun and unique touch. If you're looking for great Italian food in an unexpected location, this is the place. Definitely worth the trip to Galt

If you know me then you know that I love Italian food and I'm also a sucker for ravioli. I came across this place a while ago while passing through the area and so glad that I did. Pastosa By Lucia is a small family run Italian restaurant in an unassuming part of Galt. It's located in an industrial area almost tucked away and can easily be missed but should not be. They have been serving up homemade pasta, bread, sauces and desserts for a few years now and they recently made Yelp's Best New Restaurants of 2025 list. The interior is very welcoming and gives you that home feeling. The staff here are very friendly and open to offering their suggestions or what dishes are popular. The menu is a nice size, they offer about 12 different varieties of homemade ravioli as well as other homemade pastas, focaccia, soups, various appetizers and yummy desserts. Their roasted chicken ravioli in pink sauce is very good and quite flavorful. My recent go to is the rigatoni with the creamy pesto and garlic sauce. The noodles are cooked al dente and the two sauces paired extremely well together and with the pasta. I have been looking for a good pesto pasta and I definitely have found it. However, they do have several other sauces that I would love to try such as the Red Velvet (Tomato, fresh basil, olive oil) and Calabrese (Tomato, angus beef, homemade sausage) as those are some of their most popular sauces. I also want to work my way through their various ravioli, the Beef Tenderloin ravioli as well as the Bacon Cheeseburger ravioli are next on my list. Along with the yummy pastas I really love their homemade focaccia, it's soft on the inside while having a little crisp on the outside and has the perfect amount of oil and rosemary. One of the better focaccia breads that I have had. Their butter pecan cheesecake is also to die for, a must try!! Overall, this is a must try place when in the Galt area or if you're not in the area it's worth a little road trip to try. Such an amazing Italian restaurant serving up some of the best pasta that I've had and the fact that everything is made in house is even better.

Palermo doesn't look like much from the outside, but you can feel the love that went into this place on the inside. From being greeted by the Sicilian owner at the front to the super friendly servers and other staff, you just feel so welcome from the start. There is a full cocktail menu and full service bar to star things off, and a few house specials. I got the West Coast Colada, which is a very pineapple-forward, simple rum cocktail without the coconut side of the class drink. It was lovely, if not a little on the weak side alcohol wise. Every dish we ordered was fantastic (shout out to the minestrone soup), but the star of the show was the lasagna. I was wondering why the lasagna was a $45 dish until i saw it delivered to nearby tables and my mouth dropped. This single slice of lasagna could feed 4 people (or more) and consists of a couple DOZEN layers of noodles. It was the best, and biggest lasagnas I've ever had, and I'm still eating it 4 days later! The desserts were also absolutely delicious, with a very creamy take on tiramisu, and a very well-named "temptation" chocolate cake. The cherry on top of dessert was when the owner came and chatted with us about the origins of the lasagna and the restaurant. Just a lovely Italian man with a passion for food that somehow landed him in Elk Grove of all places! We will absolutely be returning. I mean heck, $45 for a week's worth of delicious lasagna ain't a bad deal!

A proper sear adds flavor, but actual char is bitter and completely overpowers the Marsala wine and mushrooms. Large areas of burnt crust aren't just a cosmetic issue--they ruin the dish and should be replaced, not served to a customer. What made it even more disappointing was that I was expecting a fine dining experience. Instead, I've honestly received better food quality and service at much more casual restaurants. Everyone else at my table enjoyed their meals, so unfortunately I seem to have been the exception, but that doesn't make it acceptable. I left feeling frustrated and confused as to how this plate ever made it out of the kitchen. Thank you for your response. I understand restaurants appreciate the opportunity to correct issues while customers are still there. My concern wasn't that the chicken had "grill marks" or that I didn't understand what Chicken Marsala is. The sauce and mushrooms covered the chicken, so I didn't realize how badly it was burnt until I had already taken several bites. Once I moved the sauce aside, I found it was charred to the point that it tasted burnt and was inedible, which is why I left the meal exactly as shown in my photo. I left because I was disappointed, not because I wanted to leave a negative review. Calling me a "keyboard warrior" instead of addressing the condition of the food or why it even came out of the kitchen in that condition in the first place only reinforces why I felt compelled to share my experience at your establishment.
