Caesar Salad. Yummy dressing and croutons!
    Wendy H.

My Son and I were craving italian food. I have been aware of this wonderful restaurant but have not visited and that was certainly my loss!! This place is great!! Cute atmosphere with friendly service. The owner was great to chat with and made sure we were taken care of. We were in the back area since I brought my dog and they were very accommodating. We began with the Caesar Salad. The lettuce was cold and the homemade dressing and croutons were simply excellent. We had the Chicken Parmeasan and the pasta Fiorentina and added chicken. Both were fantastic. Wonderful home made sauces and perfectly cooked pasta. The marinara sauce was so good next time I'll get some extra on the side!! I highly recommend this place. I will be back for sure !!

We had the New York steak and The Chef Shrimp Special: Grilled Shrimp, Sweet Mango Sauce, Red Chili Pepper, Vinaigrette, Garlic & Sesame Seed with, Mashed Potatoes, & Vegetable with mango sauce. It was okay... steak was $35 and shrimp was $32. $75 for two Good service!

We had Chicken Parm with Linguini and Gnocchi with Pesto sauce and chicken. Delicious. Large servings, served very hot. Chianti was excellent, too

Needed a break from our routine crave for anything Asian. And glad we found this gem of a place. When you walk in you get transported to little Italy. Love the music choices. Super friendly and attentive service. Everyone enjoyed their pasta. Chicken was a bit dry but the flavors of the pasta made up for that. Nice portions. Indoor or outdoor dining available. For a table of 3 we spent about 130.00 for one appetizer, 3 entrees , 2 desserts, and 3 beverages. Not bad for a dinner.

    Crème brûlée was excellent

Delicious meal, excellent service and loved the atmosphere! We will be back to enjoy another meal soon.

We heard there was an excellent local trattoria that we absolutely had to try. Three Restaurant is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Fairfield with plenty of nearby street parking. The restaurant has an Italian theme with inviting decor. There's a bar with several local craft beers on tap and a nice selection of wines. We started with the minestrone and a cup of clam chowder. They each came with a slice of garlic bread. Excellent taste! I had the NY steak with mashed potatoes and broccoli accompanied by a chimichurri sauce and a slice of garlic bread. Also excellent! My wife had the garlic shrimp pasta which had a good amount of shrimp. Very tasty. The owner, Francisco, greeted us and made all the customers feel welcome. There's plenty of outdoor seating out front. We'll definitely be back!

Wandered in for lunch over the weekend. Nice customer service and appreciated how they explained how to order. You can also start a drinks tab. Beers and ciders are local. Food is fine. This place definitely gets a lot of customers and they have outdoor seating. Portions aren't huge, thank goodness. May need to come back for dinner.

I stopped by 1933 Kitchen & Bar for lunch because I saw they had a chicken Philly on the menu,…read morewhich can be surprisingly hard to find since most places only offer the traditional beef version. I ordered the chicken Philly and specifically asked for no mayo, which was also noted on my receipt. I also asked for jalapeños because the menu listed "hot and sweet peppers," but the server said those were more like bell peppers. The fresh jalapeños ended up being an extra $1.50. Unfortunately, the sandwich arrived with mayo on both sides of the bread. I was already very hungry and getting a headache, so instead of sending it back and waiting again, I tried scraping most of it off. Even after that, the sandwich was still very heavy. There was also a lot of melted cheese that tasted closer to an American or Cheez-Whiz style cheese rather than something milder like provolone or Swiss, which made the sandwich very wet and overly rich. I ended up eating less than half of the sandwich before giving up on it. The garlic fries were decent, though they were very thin shoestring fries and the portion looked larger than it actually was because they were spread out across the tray. The pickle on the side was very soft and soggy and had an unusual mix of dill and sweet flavors, so I only took one bite. To the server's credit, when she saw that I wasn't taking the sandwich to go and mentioned the mayo issue, she gave me 20% off the bill, which I appreciated. However, since more than half of the sandwich went uneaten due to the mistake, a larger adjustment might have felt more appropriate. Overall, the experience was pretty average ("meh"), and while the staff was polite, the food itself didn't live up to expectations. I probably wouldn't return on my own.

I still had to pick my kid up from school, so it just made sense to slide somewhere close by that never misses. Pulled up to Ristorante Pasta D'Oro -- this was my third visit -- and just like every other time, it delivered. Honestly, it might've been even better. We grabbed the regular spaghetti and split it between my two sons. Plenty of food, easily enough for two. I did ask about the spaghetti and meatballs since they usually run that as a special, but it wasn't available today. Still, the regular spaghetti held its own with no problem. I also picked up the mixed greens salad, and the vinaigrette is different in the best way. It's flavorful, balanced, and seriously one of the highlights. When I brought it home, my fiancée tried it and immediately said I should've asked for extra. I didn't realize it was going to be that good, but now I know. Pro tip: ask for extra dressing. We grabbed the penne pasta as well, which my fiancée said was great. And once my toddler finished his spaghetti, he went straight to helping her with the penne. That's how you know it's fire. On the side, I ordered the mozzarella sticks -- handmade, big, crispy, and cooked perfectly. I believe it came with about four to six, but they're large and filling. Everything was 10 out of 10. If I could give it a million out of a million, I would. Since I can't, it's a solid five out of five stars every time. Pasta D'Oro for the win.

FINALLY!!! We moved…read moreto Fairfield 3 years ago. Being Italian it is hard to find a place for me that meets the expectations of what a true Italian food should taste like. I've seen the sign when driving by a few times. Decided tonight to give it a try... I wish I did it sooner. Perfecto! The ambience and decor is very old school Italian restaurant. The wait staff is dressed as such. The dress code is casual (in case you are wondering). Let's get to the staff. They are VERY attentive. The was never a miss with them. Our server checked on us so often. It was nice. I wish I knew her name because she needs recognition! She was AMAZING! My Arnold Palmer was never empty. The support staff made sure our waters were the same way. The ONLY hang up is that bread refills were $3 (something we didn't know). It might be on the menu somewhere. We don't blame them for that but it's good to be advised. The food came out really quick as well and piping hot. Now let's get to the food that is just perfection. There is no kids menus but the portions are so big that the little ones can share off of you. We got our little guy a cheese pizza. I had a slice and it is really good. My son is normally picky but he was not with this pizza. We also had the bruschetta (I should have taken a picture... my fault). They make it on their sourdough. It was a nice twist. My wife and I ordered both fettuccine. She ordered the Alfredo and I ordered the La Strada (both of us added Italian Sausage). The kitchen was moving! It came out hot and perfectly on time after we finished our bruschetta. It was creamy with so much flavor. Even our 3 year old wanted some (good thing the portions are big). We loved it but we wanted room for dessert. Our server boxed it up our food. We ordered the crepes and spumoni. The crepes were so good! At the end of everything was done. My wife and I agreed. We found true Italian food. Definitely will be back. To the owner... Thank you! This experience has been everything we have been looking for.

I visited a week before to check out the restaurant and inquired in their private dining room that fits about 12 people. I made a reservation for 10 people for a Tuesday evening at 6:30pm. No deposit or anything required and they said we can decorate the room. I just brought balloons and a cake, and cut it myself. The food and service were great! We didn't have to wait long, we were seated next to the bar which got kind of loud but wasn't an issue. We got 2 samplers that came with calamari, bruschetta, and caprese mozzarella. We get complimentary bread and my dad wanted garlic bread. I ordered the crab ravioli which was so thick and with shredded pieces of real crab, so good! Items ordered were lasagna di carne, eggplant Parmesan, tortellini, seafood pasta, chicken fettuccine Alfredo. They don't have a kids menu but recommend ordering side orders of things so we got my nephews spaghetti noodles and one meatball and a sausage. They ate all their noodles. And we even ordered a ton of desserts- key lime cheesecake, chocolate cake, crème brûlée, and an affogato. 20% gratuity it was added and our bill for 10 people came out to a little over $500 which I would say was a pretty good price for our large group and we all were very full. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and a bar. There is also plenty of parking! Perfect spot before or after trying to go wine tasting in the Napa Valley.

I could say it was because of my boss but I've always been treated warmly. I gotta say, it sure makes a difference. Especially in these times. I only spend my money where I feel valued and welcomed. The ambiance is also appreciated. What do I mean by that? Well, having eaten both indoors and outdoors. I feel great. On a beautiful day such as today I'm sitting outside. When a drove up there were 2 men at one table enjoying the day as well as a group of women enjoying themselves. This time I brought a book to read while I enjoyed my meal. Because I tend to come during non peak hours I am never rushed. The menu is wonderful though admittedly, I tend to stick to a few dishes I truly relish. It doesn't matter if I'm eating in or having delivery. I've never been disappointed. As in never! The sun is warming me inside and out, the music is playing softly in the background. There are multiple tables on this beautiful patio set up in different numbers. It's truly peaceful as I hear birds chirping in the background. I also love that I can come in and say "please bring me whatever you think I'd enjoy." Again, I'm never disappointed and have tried things I'd have never ordered. What's that commercial say? What stood out to me back then was that it was one of the few meals I could actually eat and keep down during that time, so coming back with her for an early dinner felt like a true full-circle moment. We were seated right away in the bar area, and our waitress was very kind and attentive. The menu has a little something for everyone, which made it easy to find options we'd both enjoy. I started with the Italian wedge salad, which came with candied pecans and the usual toppings. What I appreciated most was that it didn't have an overwhelming amount of raw red onions, which can sometimes take over a wedge salad. It was well balanced and really enjoyable. For my entrée, I had the lasagna, which was flavorful, saucy, and satisfying. I would have liked a bit more cheese, but it wasn't a dealbreaker. My daughter ordered the cheese ravioli with Alfredo sauce along with a vanilla Italian soda with cream, which she really enjoyed. The complimentary bread service was also a highlight -- served with olive oil that had pieces of roasted garlic. We added balsamic vinegar, and it was delicious. I had the blackberry iced tea, which was refreshing and paired well with the meal. Overall, this visit was a great reminder of why this place has stuck with me over the years. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to -- and not waiting another 17 years next time.

There was some sort of maple brandy sauce drizzled on top, and it was fantastic. We had a great experience at Ristorante Allegria, and will most definitely return!
