Caesar Salad. Yummy dressing and croutons!
    Wendy H.

My Son and I were craving italian food. I have been aware of this wonderful restaurant but have not visited and that was certainly my loss!! This place is great!! Cute atmosphere with friendly service. The owner was great to chat with and made sure we were taken care of. We were in the back area since I brought my dog and they were very accommodating. We began with the Caesar Salad. The lettuce was cold and the homemade dressing and croutons were simply excellent. We had the Chicken Parmeasan and the pasta Fiorentina and added chicken. Both were fantastic. Wonderful home made sauces and perfectly cooked pasta. The marinara sauce was so good next time I'll get some extra on the side!! I highly recommend this place. I will be back for sure !!

We had the New York steak and The Chef Shrimp Special: Grilled Shrimp, Sweet Mango Sauce, Red Chili Pepper, Vinaigrette, Garlic & Sesame Seed with, Mashed Potatoes, & Vegetable with mango sauce. It was okay... steak was $35 and shrimp was $32. $75 for two Good service!

We had Chicken Parm with Linguini and Gnocchi with Pesto sauce and chicken. Delicious. Large servings, served very hot. Chianti was excellent, too

Needed a break from our routine crave for anything Asian. And glad we found this gem of a place. When you walk in you get transported to little Italy. Love the music choices. Super friendly and attentive service. Everyone enjoyed their pasta. Chicken was a bit dry but the flavors of the pasta made up for that. Nice portions. Indoor or outdoor dining available. For a table of 3 we spent about 130.00 for one appetizer, 3 entrees , 2 desserts, and 3 beverages. Not bad for a dinner.

We heard there was an excellent local trattoria that we absolutely had to try. Three Restaurant is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Fairfield with plenty of nearby street parking. The restaurant has an Italian theme with inviting decor. There's a bar with several local craft beers on tap and a nice selection of wines. We started with the minestrone and a cup of clam chowder. They each came with a slice of garlic bread. Excellent taste! I had the NY steak with mashed potatoes and broccoli accompanied by a chimichurri sauce and a slice of garlic bread. Also excellent! My wife had the garlic shrimp pasta which had a good amount of shrimp. Very tasty. The owner, Francisco, greeted us and made all the customers feel welcome. There's plenty of outdoor seating out front. We'll definitely be back!

    Crème brûlée was excellent

Delicious meal, excellent service and loved the atmosphere! We will be back to enjoy another meal soon.

Wandered in for lunch over the weekend. Nice customer service and appreciated how they explained how to order. You can also start a drinks tab. Beers and ciders are local. Food is fine. This place definitely gets a lot of customers and they have outdoor seating. Portions aren't huge, thank goodness. May need to come back for dinner.

We heard about this place and decided to check it out. They have plenty of outdoor seating as well as inside. The atmosphere is cool! It felt comfortable and relaxing with laid back jazz music playing. When I first walked in I was there a few minutes before anyone came out. Hmmm... A guy came out. I let him know it was my first time here and asked about their internet prices vs. the printed menu pricing. They were different. He said the printed menu price was the most current. I suppose the website needs to be updated... Food or drink orders are placed before you sit at a table. They will bring the food out to you. ***Notice the sign at the register that says there is a 3% charge to use your credit or debit card. Bring some cash if you don't want to pay the fee. Thankfully I had some cash on hand which I don't normally carry. I ordered the garlic shrimp pasta. It did not disappoint. The shrimp was tender and the pasta was 'al dente'. The dish came with three pieces of perfectly toasted garlic bread. I enjoyed it a lot. When the 'happy hour' time came, a server I was able to find said I'd have to come back in to order/pay then they'd bring it out. That was a bummer! I didn't want to have to leave my half eaten food, go back inside and place a drink order, so I went without. For a first time visit this place was okay. I appreciate that their food was great. If it wasn't I wouldn't return, but I'm willing to try again.

The Chicken Parmesan hoagie was huge--easily enough for two people--and may have been one of the best-tasting chicken parm sandwiches I've ever had. The garlic knots were also amazing, and the ranch was pretty good too. The prices were a little on the higher side, but the quality and taste of the food made it worth it. I still had to pick my kid up from school, so it just made sense to slide somewhere close by that never misses. Pulled up to Ristorante Pasta D'Oro -- this was my third visit -- and just like every other time, it delivered. Honestly, it might've been even better. We grabbed the regular spaghetti and split it between my two sons. Plenty of food, easily enough for two. I did ask about the spaghetti and meatballs since they usually run that as a special, but it wasn't available today. Still, the regular spaghetti held its own with no problem. I also picked up the mixed greens salad, and the vinaigrette is different in the best way. It's flavorful, balanced, and seriously one of the highlights. When I brought it home, my fiancée tried it and immediately said I should've asked for extra. I didn't realize it was going to be that good, but now I know. Pro tip: ask for extra dressing. We grabbed the penne pasta as well, which my fiancée said was great. And once my toddler finished his spaghetti, he went straight to helping her with the penne. That's how you know it's fire. On the side, I ordered the mozzarella sticks -- handmade, big, crispy, and cooked perfectly. I believe it came with about four to six, but they're large and filling. Everything was 10 out of 10. If I could give it a million out of a million, I would. Since I can't, it's a solid five out of five stars every time. Pasta D'Oro for the win.

I've seen the sign when driving by a few times. Decided tonight to give it a try... I wish I did it sooner. Perfecto! The ambience and decor is very old school Italian restaurant. The wait staff is dressed as such. The dress code is casual (in case you are wondering). Let's get to the staff. They are VERY attentive. The was never a miss with them. Our server checked on us so often. It was nice. I wish I knew her name because she needs recognition! She was AMAZING! My Arnold Palmer was never empty. The support staff made sure our waters were the same way. The ONLY hang up is that bread refills were $3 (something we didn't know). It might be on the menu somewhere. We don't blame them for that but it's good to be advised. The food came out really quick as well and piping hot. Now let's get to the food that is just perfection. There is no kids menus but the portions are so big that the little ones can share off of you. We got our little guy a cheese pizza. I had a slice and it is really good. My son is normally picky but he was not with this pizza. We also had the bruschetta (I should have taken a picture... my fault). They make it on their sourdough. It was a nice twist. My wife and I ordered both fettuccine. She ordered the Alfredo and I ordered the La Strada (both of us added Italian Sausage). The kitchen was moving! It came out hot and perfectly on time after we finished our bruschetta. It was creamy with so much flavor. Even our 3 year old wanted some (good thing the portions are big). We loved it but we wanted room for dessert. Our server boxed it up our food. We ordered the crepes and spumoni. The crepes were so good! At the end of everything was done. My wife and I agreed. We found true Italian food. Definitely will be back. To the owner... Thank you! This experience has been everything we have been looking for.

I missed getting a picture of the starter which was salmon carpaccio. That was delicious. The spaghetti & meatballs was enough to share so I'm having it tomorrow too. Bread pudding was good BUT it's served on a plate. So it not soaking up the sauce like it would in a bowl. However, still tasted good. If you're in the area - I highly recommend. What stood out to me back then was that it was one of the few meals I could actually eat and keep down during that time, so coming back with her for an early dinner felt like a true full-circle moment. We were seated right away in the bar area, and our waitress was very kind and attentive. The menu has a little something for everyone, which made it easy to find options we'd both enjoy. I started with the Italian wedge salad, which came with candied pecans and the usual toppings. What I appreciated most was that it didn't have an overwhelming amount of raw red onions, which can sometimes take over a wedge salad. It was well balanced and really enjoyable. For my entrée, I had the lasagna, which was flavorful, saucy, and satisfying. I would have liked a bit more cheese, but it wasn't a dealbreaker. My daughter ordered the cheese ravioli with Alfredo sauce along with a vanilla Italian soda with cream, which she really enjoyed. The complimentary bread service was also a highlight -- served with olive oil that had pieces of roasted garlic. We added balsamic vinegar, and it was delicious. I had the blackberry iced tea, which was refreshing and paired well with the meal. Overall, this visit was a great reminder of why this place has stuck with me over the years. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to -- and not waiting another 17 years next time.
