One of the greats. With legacy to boast. I've been dining at Pizza Garden for as long as I can remember and it's always been so very delicious. They get the crust and thinness right every time. But never do the toppings slip and slide off. They have all the classics: Sicilian, grandma, upside down, white slice, BBQ, etc. They can of course make a custom pie for you as well. I love their midget pies, it's the perfect size for 1. I've experienced many times where I can a little acidity when I have red sauce but never from PG. They have other food options on the menu and they're all great. Gnocchi, spaghetti, calamari, chicken parm, etc. Definitely one of the greatest pizza spots in NY.

Was in town dealing with family issues... asked for a recommendation of good NY pie spot at the local hardware store... was not disappointed by Pizza Garden. Classic. Cheesy. A bit greasy. Okay, maybe more than a bit greasy. LOVED IT. When you walk in and see the pies are only available in two sizes, Regular and Mini, you know it's gonna be good. I'll be back for sure.

"I'd like to be under the sea, in an Pizza garden in the shade..." Sung to the tune of Octopus Garden by the Beatles. This place has been baking pizzas for 60 years! I do find the name a little bit unusual in the sense that anything with the word garden is usually synonymous with salads or Chinese food. I'm sure a slice of chicken chow mein or beef and broccoli wouldn't sell too well, but I kid!! In all seriousness the pizza is really good. The crust borders between thick and thin, in other words it's in the middle and it's crunchy, airy and delicious. The amount of cheese is perfect and my only chief complaint would be for a little more sauce. I felt the slice would have been perfect with a tad more sauce. Just a note, the sauce leans more towards the salty and savory than sweet. A great pizza and comparatively less expensive than the other competitors around the area. So enjoy your pizza in an Octopus's garden, home garden or any garden. You won't be disappointed.

Half plain half bbq chicken pizza pie

Pizza garden has been around since I was a kid and has always been pretty consistently solid. Ordered a half plain, half bbq chicken pie from here for take out the other day to satisfy my pizza cravings and it did the job! Their crust was crispy and there was a good pizza to sauce ratio. Although bbq chicken is my go-to special slice, I do think I enjoyed their plain cheese more. Tip: they do have a parking lot but it is quite small and kinda hard to get into and out if it's packed.

    Regular pie.

I've been here a few times, and overall, it's not a bad pizzeria. Their slices are good. Their pasta isn't bad either and not too expensive.

Pizza is average , the male phone operator sounded drunk/high and constantly asked me to repeat myself, wouldn't order again.

The service was once again exceptional. The wait staff were attentive, efficient, and genuinely helpful throughout the evening. One particular server stood out; she appeared to be the tallest of the three women working that night and carried herself with the poise and awareness of a manager (if she happens to not be one). Unfortunately, I never caught her name, but she was incredibly cordial and offered thoughtful recommendations, way above and beyond what was being expected What stood out the most was her attention to detail and ability to anticipate customer needs. It seemed like next-level thinking in the context of a waitressing/host/restaurant profession. When discussing menu items, she immediately recognized that I preferred no spice and proactively addressed that consideration before I even had to ask. That level of attentiveness is uncommon. Many servers simply record orders as requested, but she demonstrated genuine knowledge of the menu and an ability to think beyond the transaction itself. (This attribute may be expected at some higher end restaurants.) Another example was when I requested that scallions and other greens be omitted from a dish. She immediately pointed out that other vegetables might still be present in the soup (from the base) and wanted to ensure there would be no concerns. While allergies were not my issue, I greatly appreciated the care she took to communicate clearly and avoid assumptions. Throughout the meal, she volunteered additional information about various dishes as a precaution, before we even asked (nor maybe even thought of asking). That level of professionalism and attention to detail elevates the entire dining experience. I know this was such a minor detail to bring up but the reason why I am calling this out is about the "experience", once again. Many of my past reviews were not just about how good food is (or the complaints) - but how representatives of an establishment become the core meaning of "dining". Yes, food is important, but the human element and interactions are also key. (who knows - pretty soon AI robots will be taking our orders, right!) Therefore, recognizing positive, unique and deserving aspects of a restaurant is just as crucial as the food output. Equally impressive was how the staff managed what appeared to be a very busy evening. The restaurant was packed, takeout orders especially the pizza boxes were stacked and in a line formation, waiting for pickup, and delivery guys seemed to be coming and going nonstop. Yet despite the pace, the team never appeared overwhelmed. They balanced table turnover efficiently while continuing to provide thoughtful and attentive service. It is rare to see that combination executed so well. Their efforts certainly did not go unnoticed, and we happily tipped above 18%!! The atmosphere is energetic and fun. With multiple screens playing nonstop K-pop music videos ALL NIGHT long (and I'm not into that genre), yet the restaurant feels lively and vibrant, almost like a weekend bar. Yet somehow it still maintains a family-friendly environment that welcomes diners of all ages. The crowd was diverse, and the restaurant buzzed with activity throughout the night. Now... the food spoke for itself. Nearly every dish we ordered showcased quality ingredients and bold, satisfying flavors. Even the fried items were executed remarkably well. The fries, for example, arrived perfectly cooked - golden but not burnt, crisp, and piping hot, with steam still visibly rising despite the dim evening lighting. Every plate reflected care in preparation and attention to quality. Normally, with the amount of food ordered, I'd always have extras to pack up. Well... not this time. Photos simply do not do this place justice. The combination of outstanding service, vibrant atmosphere, and consistently excellent food is what brought me back for a second visit, and it is exactly why I will return again, and again. Thanks for checking out my review!

Then, even more importantly, the pizza was impossibly cheesy. In fact, there was so (disproportionately) much cheese that it practically overshadowed whatever else toppings there were. We had large golden crust half and half pizza with bulgogi on on half and Korean chive on the other. We liked the crusty crust and what looked and tasted like sweet potato mousse which appeared to have been squeezed around the outer edges inside the crust ring. The silverware and crockery, including the stand to lay the pizza on, were all nice touches, so I wish the service and food matched these other elements much more closely. They have a bar and flat screen TVs, and the music was audible but not too distracting. I wish them well.

The pizza had a firm under carriage. Thin sauce. And a thick cheesey top layer. The sauce was a miss for me. It was soupy and didnt have much flavor. It works as a binding element to the firm crust and cheesey layer. Great for the traditional NY fold. After the first bite, the sauce just splattered to the plate. Its an average slice. Decent and solid.

Got a chance to be in NY again and of course hit up Brothers Pizza…read more Still great. Wife and friend tried slice of grandma pizza. I tried a vite and thought it was ok, a bit more freshness from the sauce and all. But I waited for the simple cheese that always hits. I mentioned the pizza tasted better when we got slice that was reheated last time vs the whole pie. Gentleman confirmed yes reheating the slice makes for crisper crust and tastier pizza. He offered to make the whole pie well done and let it rest few minutes and pop it back in oven to reheat. It def was better than the last whole pie but I still think slice was better lol. Maybe pizza really needs to cool down a lot before reheating. Either way we loved it yet again, and kid brought the 2 slices leftover all the way back to LA, lol. Maybe I'll steal a bite whenever that gets reheated toasted up in the air fryer lol.
