Pizza Heaven SMH... Checked out their menu while searching for a number and saw they had a $10 large with one topping special on Tuesdays so I ordered one with pepperoni and one with just cheese. She told me $24.69 and I questioned the amount as it didn't add up and asked her if that included tax which she replied yes. She tells me the *** cheese is $12.50? I said you're going to charge more for less. I'm getting meat on one that's $10 and 1 just cheese that is $12.50... doesn't make sense. She explained that the special doesn't come with cheese or something pretty close to that along with they just do it so people can get meat. I thought that was pretty cheesy I was starving and just wanted something to eat at this point and order it. On the way back it dawned on me that she charged me $26 change. lol Now for my unbiased opinion...The crust underneath was undercooked as it was very doughy. The outside crust had no crunch to it. The sauce was dull. Pepperoni wasn't bad but the cheese was paper thin. I have to say it was better than school and Ellios pizza. I give it a score of 6, That flop tho Also 16 health violations just this year including having to throw away food that was being put on orders. read more

When it's good it's actually quite good. However it's very inconsistent. A lot of people like some char but this batch just tasted burnt. Most of the time it's much better. I just wish they could be more consistent. read more

I want to give this restaurant 5 stars because when it's good, it's actually good.. but unfortunately, they lack consistency when it comes to their pizzas. I haven't been back in a long time because the last two times I went, they barely put any cheese on my pizza. You'd think I had asked for pizza with very little cheese which definitely was not the case. This place is kind of far from my house so it's disappointing when I drive about 40 mins to get here just to get a pizza with hardly any cheese. Not cool. This place does offer vegan cheese for those who do not or cannot eat dairy. They used to use Daiya cheese, but I believe they've switched to the Follow Your Heart cheese shreds. You can get this cheese on your pizza or in your calzones. The picture I've included is an older one from one of my "good" visits where there was enough cheese on our pizzas. read more

Long overdue, as I thought I had updated my review but apparently never did. Anyway, I used to go here 2-3 times a week. Food was always good and it was close to my house. The food did take a little bit if a step back, but it was still good. Then one day I went there and it really was bad. I didn't think to much of it, other than it being an off night and still would've went back. But that night I got violently sick and spent the next few hours throwing up. I had to miss the next 2 days of work with how sick I was. I'm on the email blast for when the health department inspects a restaurant I go to and I got one that they were inspected. 30+ violations were found the day after I had eaten there. I put 2 and 2 together. I will say they are super nice people, but having to miss 2 days of work at a job I didn't have any PTO with at the time cost me $200+. Haven't been back since. read more

You've heard the expression, "the hardest working man in show business..." This is the hardest working pizza place in the area (or maybe anywhere). It's a place Guy Fieri would love to visit if he could fit his camera crew into this tiny restaurant. Everyone is always busy, always hustling behind the counter, always making the freshest and most diverse pies and great sandwiches in the area. The effort is appreciated, but the food is even more so. The chalkboard when you enter lists the incredibly voluminous choices for pizzas, calzones, sandwiches, salads, grinders, dinners and apps. I can speak from experience that it's not just quantity but quality at Pizza Heaven. My daughter and I got the standards we use to determine a great pizza place. Plain cheese pizza and a meatball sandwich. They are the foundation for whatever else you may want, in our opinion. The meatball sandwich is full of flavor. Tasty, flavorful, home made meatballs (a little spicy) with a great, fresh sauce on fresh, chewy, crusty bread. The pizza is a star. All the components are special. Great sauce, cheese and a chewy, buttery crust come together (all in perfect proportion) to make magic in your mouth. Of note to some: If you like NY style pizza, Pizza Heaven was the RI Monthly "Best Foldable Slice" choice for 2016 for a reason (as I read while we waited). Personally, I'm not a NY pizza guy in general, but this is really great stuff. The small kitchen and popularity of the place mean that the staff is always grinding. It's evident how hard everyone is working every time I come in, but they are also invariably friendly, nice and grateful for your business all the time. That being said, this is a far better place for takeout or delivery than it is for dine in. It's way too busy to enjoy a meal and in our case tonight, our order got lost while we sat there for 20 minutes before it was even started. That's not acceptable. Call ahead. They are always on time. All in all, it's generally a great place to get something to eat. And an ideal place to support local, hard working young people who put a lot of love and effort into what they do. read more

THIS is not health food, but the ingredients are quality and the execution was exactly as expected and i actually didn't feel horrible after indulging. it was more than enough for two meals for two of us and the crust kept well in the fridge overnight. House gold wing sauce is a mystery to me. Made of love and a touch of Buffalo? Tomato base, spiced with a heaping helping of ZOMG I guess I can fit one more? The chefs only spoke Spanish and the woman taking orders could not communicate with the chefs. I have severe allergies to gluten, and the woman at the counter was very condescending and told us they have many celiac disease customers and never get complaints. The Godfather sandwich is fantastic and their steak and cheese variations are great as well. I recommend The Godfather with extra ronis. The staff here is longstanding and you can tell they have a good time working together, or at least it's entertaining to hear them banter when they are not. Longstanding employees means consistent quality food. This place has great sandwiches and a creative and extensive menu. I am not a native and generally RI style pizza is not my thing. I prefer a more traditional NY pie, which this pie is not, but it is still very good. I return here frequently for the sandwiches which have great ingredients, good bread, and are well put together by a staff that knows what they are doing. I'm so sad to have to write this review for a pizza place we used to love that seemed to care about the quality of the ingredients they used and the quality of their food. Sadly, the last few times we've ordered from them, all the food is burnt. The last time we ordered, the food took one hour and 20 mins to get to us on a Tuesday evening and both the fries and the pizza were burnt. Unfortunately, we are done ordering from them. This pizza. Oh my god. As a vegan I was expecting to have to order a cheese-less pizza, but was thrilled to see vegan options. I ordered the Woodstock pizza with Daiya cheese, broccoli, red onion, and black olives. It took a while to come out, but was so worth the wait. Generous toppings and a good size for a small, but the crowning glory was the crust. Light, crispy on the outside, and chewy on the inside. First time ordering from this establishment. I put in an order for a half dozen pizzas for a work training event the evening before. The woman who took my order was extremely pleasant and helpful. Pizza was delivered hot and on time. Driver called me on arrival which was appreciated. One of the attendees suggested I order the NYC Weiner pizza. It was a huge hit. Also ordered the house pizza, Hawaiian, BBQ, veggie, and pepperoni & cheese. Wow, I have not written a review on Yelp in years... But being on the site today, Pizza Heaven was the place that popped into my mind first to review. I think Pizza Heaven is great. The cheese is better than what I have reviewed as the best in pizza on yelp in the past. The actual pizza crust is a little buttery (almost like an Uno's crust but not as thick). It is a super friendly place and very casual. I have tried many sandwiches, sides and pizzas and they have all been great. I would recommend Pizza Heaven highly and it has become our goto pizza spot lately. The only reason I did not give them 4 stars is that since it is a new pizza place and I anticipate the pizza will get even better. In fact, it seems to get better every time we go. I look forward to reviewing this post to a 5 soon. read more

Cute little place. They have pizza by the slice but the options available are only cheese and pepperoni. Also the pizza sitting in the window looked pretty dry, so I didn't try any. I decided to go with a sandwich, and I usually like to try whatever the house specialty is so I went with "Vins Chicken Sandwich". It was delicious. The chipotle aioli sauce they put on the sandwich is very good...flavorful with a kick. The chicken tasted fresh, was grilled to order and the sandwich was ready surprisingly fast. My only complaint is that it was a bit expensive for a "small" sandwich...9 bucks? Either way, I'd go back again. Friendly customer service also. read more

Tried Pizza Heaven for the first time last week. We ordered cheese for the little ones, a bacon and cheese and a Philly cheese steak for the rest of us. The delivery service was faster than the 40 minutes they quoted, so that was a bonus. Everyone LOVED the pizza and we will definitely be ordering again. read more

This used to be our favorite pizza and sub place. We have basically stopped ordering from there because of the service and ridiculous delivery wait times. The person answering the phone just says hold and puts it down for 10 mins at times and is just chatting with other customers , etc. half the time the phone is simply busy. The orders have become more frequently incorrect and they stopped using quality lettuce on the salads. We have made a decision, sadly- to stop going there and will use other restaurants and wait for a strong competitor to enter the market that cares more about their customers and doesn't take them for granted. read more

I have ordered pizza and subs on a couple of occasions from Pizza Heaven, as it was late and I had not interest in cooking. The subs were good, nothing to write home to Mom about, but decent. The pizza was a bit better, We ordered pepperoni and as with many pepperoni pizzas, it was a bit on the greasy side. The bottom-line, the crust was good, not great. The sauce was okay. As most pizza lovers know, the crust and the sauce for red sauce pizzas is really the soul of a pizza. The topping can make or break this two ingredients but they cannot make the pizza more than okay. On both fronts we give their sauce and crust 2.5 to 3 stars. At the end of the day, Diego's homemade pizza with his dough from scratch blows away most pizzas we have eaten. The only exceptions in RI is Al Fornos and Anthony's Coal fired pizza. Pizza heaven might get more of my business in a pinch since it is so close to my house. Salud! read more

Very good pizza. The crust is airy and has some flavor, the sauce is sweet, but not so sweet that it doesn't taste right. Good amounts of cheese and toppings. Fast delivery and friendly staff.
