Over an hour wait after ordering ahead online. Several people in the parking lot suggesting the same fate.

Got the big box deal. Nastiest pizza I've ever eaten. Slim on cheese, sauce, and flavor. Don't ever eat this pizza. Not worth it.

All of the food rewarded our taste buds with its sparkling freshness. I was impressed from the…read moremoment I received my house salad. The lettuces and other vegetables were so beautifully crisp and appetizing and the dressing was freshly made on site. The protein bowl was my entree and couldn't have been more satisfying. It too was pleasing in its presentation with its perfectly grilled kernels of corn and chicken breast on top--Just delightful and the portion was generous so I had leftovers to take home. My husband enjoyed the roasted turkey with cornbread dressing. Again the portions were plentiful and the plating showed the kitchen's pride by making sure everything looked as good it tasted. I could go on, but suffice it to say that we went back a couple of nights later. The menu is so varied, we could eat here for days without repeating an entree. Thanks, BMB!

They're definitely spicy, so not for the faint of heart. I also ordered the smoked Gouda veggie wrap with sweet potato fries. It was delicious and had a generous amount of pesto and balsamic vinegar. I ordered the pineapple coconut cake to take home for the next day, and it was fantastic! It was so light and refreshing. My server was very attentive and had excellent hospitality. I'll definitely be back at the bistro when I'm in town!

I have been wanting to try a banana pudding latte since I first heard about them recently. I…read morethought the concept sounded a little weird, but when I saw it on the special menu here, I had to go for it. I was NOT disappointed! The banana flavor was spot on, like a true banana. Not like the typical artificial banana flavoring you'd find in a candy. It was sweetened just enough and topped with little vanilla wafer pieces. We were only inside for a short period of time, but this was a really cute place with comfy seating and a calm, quiet vibe. Staff were friendly and efficient. The only thing that could have made my drink better would have been more ice, but then I would have less of my delicious beverage, so I can't really complain.

We arrived at around 7:15 am and were greeted by two regulars hanging out front with their dogs, which meant that Mrs. K. got her morning dog fix before we even made it inside. That set a great tone for a good day. The welcome inside was warm in the small town way that feels genuine instead of forced, just easy smiles and a quick hello as I ordered. It was rather quiet when we arrived but the folks seemed to start pouring in as we sipped our coffees. My cortado was excellent even if it was in a paper cup. Mrs. K. was happy with her latte which is the proper test. We lingered a bit, enjoying the quiet and watching Black Mountain wake up around us before getting back on the road. A great little stop just off I-40 and a perfect start for the day. Five stars! [Review 540 of 2026 - 4635 in North Carolina - 25722 overall]

Within that context, however, the staff distinguished themselves as welcoming and efficient, processing orders promptly and with a friendliness that set a positive tone for the experience. Ambiance: Abbiocco is located adjacent to the Peri Social House in Black Mountain, North Carolina, an arrangement that proves to be a genuine asset. Guests may order beverages from the social house and enjoy their meal in a pleasantly secluded outdoor patio area -- an intimate and well-conceived setting that enhances the overall dining experience considerably. Food: The standout of the visit was undoubtedly the pizza, which represents some of the most authentic Neapolitan-style preparation to be found in Western North Carolina. The kitchen demonstrates a clear command of the fundamentals: quality ingredients, a well-developed crust, and the disciplined use of a wood-fired oven operating at the temperatures necessary to achieve a proper Neapolitan result. Each of these elements contributes meaningfully to a final product that is difficult to fault. Overall: Pizza preference is, of course, a matter of personal taste -- but for those who favor the Neapolitan tradition, Abbiocco is likely to impress. It is a worthy destination for anyone in the region seeking a pizza experience grounded in quality ingredients and genuine technique.

The guy running the booth was so friendly and helpful, he made the whole pickup feel easy. I love the RAD market its family friendly is very welcoming. This pizza is topped with White Squirrel Kitchens fromage blanc, wilted local greens, and mushrooms from Catawba Mushroom Company. Three local makers on one pie, which I love. The artisan crust, with the crispy edges, makes this the kind of pizza you want to eat slowly and savor. I drizzled balsamic on top and it went somewhere divine. The fromage blanc and mushrooms are already doing the work, but that little tangy hit pulled the whole thing together. If you keep a freezer pizza on hand for tired nights, make it this one. It actually tastes like a luxury high-end dinner you made an effort on, versus your typical frozen pizza. It's elevated.
