Anyways, didn't receive the food for another 45 min and it was fine but the food was cold. 6 mins away so I dont understand. Ordered a pie, which was ok but cold. Horrible! I ordered a Sicilian pizza with pepperoni and double sausage. There was hardly any sauce on the pizza. I was charged $44 dollars for a 3 topping pizza that is listed on their menu as $22 .Quality of food has gone way down in last 15 months. Toppings used to be cut nice and excellent, now it was more like a crumble. I had the best pizza ever in that place a year ago and wrote a review expressing the excellence, now its just trash pizza backed up by marginally friendly, incompetent staff.I asked for an itemized receipt and the girl couldn't/wouldn't give me on, she gave me one that listed just the pizza as $44. I picked it up from the restaurant and was told there was a service fee, but she couldnt tell me what for. I was there around 6:30 on 1/13/26. You can see the difference of quality in pics. I will never order from here again! The pizza was very poorly made and seeing it I should have never eaten a piece but I was so hungry. it wasn't raw but it looked like the person who made it didn't care. It was an odd oval shape that didn't have a crust all the way around. And burnt pieces on the bottom. But I ate a piece and I have been sick for two days!!!! Hmmm. I'm usually Favillas biggest fan. We have been going 20 mins out of our way to get carry out pizzas from them since 2022. Today, 3/5/2025... we believe their recipe has changed. Or they now do their "by the slice" pizza differently than the carryout orders which use to be like their by the slice pizza. Their by the slice pizza is truly NY style, it's still on their counter and their new carry out - not so much. Smaller and thicker crust. Will try one more time and see. Both the food and the service have absolutely tanked in the last few months, which is such a bummer because this used to be my #1 go-to--pizza that even I, a Jersey-girl pizza snob, really enjoyed. But now there are new owners and new staff and unfortunately it really shows--everything is worse and also more expensive. And that's assuming you can even get your food. I recently placed an online order during business hours, received a confirm that my food would be ready shortly, came in from 45 minutes away to pick it up, and when I got there the place was closed. No sign on the door, no one answering the phone, nothing. (I have since learned I am not the only person this happened to and that day was not the only day it happened.) It took over a day to get in touch with anyone and get a refund--from their web designer, for some reason, because nobody else was responding to calls or messages. They told me they'd "make it right" the next time I came in, and apparently their idea of that was free garlic knots with my $50 order. I wouldn't have known they were garlic knots if they didn't tell me--they were just dry bread. Every single thing about that experience was do disappointing I am 100% done with them now. They've totally destroyed what was once the best pizza in all of WNC. read more

Nice enough people but you can't eat people. Can't really eat the pizza either. Brought it home, ate a couple slices then made myself burgers. If you're nostalgic for the pizza you ate in elementary school this might be the place for you. Crust tasted frozen, sauce tasted canned, cheese was cheap and greasy. Stopped in on my way to Sam's Club because I saw that it wasn't called "Favilla's Pizza" but "Favilla's NEW YORK Pizza". It's a bold statement to put "New York" in your pizzeria's name if it's anywhere outside of the Motherland, so I figured I'd give it a try. Upon walking in, I was greeted by a friendly girl (who was working with a broken foot or something close to it!) as well as a team of kitchen guys who were all smiles. I ordered my go-to for a place like this--regular slice and a grandma slice. However, I was caught off guard by what I thought was a hallucination at first. This place has honest to God, real-deal Jamaican beef patties and they were FIRE. I was told they were delivered fresh from NJ (which is a state renowned for it's bagels, breads, donuts, Italian food, etc) so it made perfect sense why they were so good. Their prices are killer, the slices were solid (I'd give both a 7/10, the regular slice was a little soggy/overloaded with cheese so I'll get it well done next time), the beef patty was off the chain, and the atmosphere was comfortable and not overwhelming. If you dig pizza and you're nearby, do yourself a favor--go to Favilla's NY Pizza. read more

Our favorite pizza in Asheville! The best NYC style as well (as someone who moved from Asheville from Brooklyn, I think I know pizza). When we had Favilla's at my daughter's birthday party, numerous people asked me where it was from and everyone got seconds. It was so good! We typically call in an order for pick-up, as the inside is small and not the best environment for a date night and kind of small for the kids to run around. Perfect for take-out. It seems like every pizza place in town has the same crust. It's chewy and doughy, kind of "OK, not great". Like the others, Favillas has good pizza, but that crust is a bummer. I can copy this review and paste it under Papa Nick's, DelVecchios, and Asheville Pizza. I asked if there was any way that they could give me flats instead of drumsticks because for some reason he just won't eat the drumsticks I don't know why. Amazing little gem! I stopped in for an early lunch today. Interacted with half a dozen employees or so. All of them were friendly, incredibly helpful, polite and professional. Eric helped me with my order - his customer service skills are on point! He was upbeat and chipper, created a hospitable and warm atmosphere while prepping my slice. I ordered a cheese slice. The crust was crisp, the toppings buttery and flavorful and it was served piping hot. This could easily be the best slice of pizza I've ever had. I have been searching Asheville high and low for "the best" pizza. Unfortunately, this wasn't it... We ordered delivery from Takeout Central. Receipt attached for convenience. Zero complaints from the takeout service that delivered our meal. They did their job splendidly. Salads: I ordered my salad with no onions, yet it came covered in them. Thankfully I don't have an onion allergy, so I just picked them off. The salad was actually the best part of the meal, in my opinion. Fresh veggies, leafy (not stocky), and plenty of dressing provided to cover the entire salad. My son had a side salad as well; he ate every bite. My husband ordered the Caesar Salad. He said it was a traditional Caesar; not the best he's ever had, but still good. Mozzarella Sticks: I didn't think you could get mozz sticks wrong. I now stand corrected. They were cheesy, but the breading was very soggy. I really want to blame the moisture for this, and assume that they would've been better at the restaurant, however I've ordered mozz sticks from other restaurants that did not arrive soggy. So I'm not sure what went wrong. They were rather unappetizing. Wings: The bbq wings weren't any better than the mozz sticks. Very little meat on the bones, and the meat that was there was very dry. The bbq sauce was also blah. Pizza: My husband says this was the "closest" to a NY style pizza he's had in Asheville as of late, but that it wasn't quite there. The thin crust was crunchy, but chewy. We believe that if we ate it right out of the oven, opposed to the pizza collecting moisture from inside the box, it might not have been chewy. The sauce was rather bland; zero flavor. For an "okay, edible" pizza, it wasn't at all worth the price tag. Chocolate Cannoli: By the time we reached dessert, I was so disappointed that I probably had no room for positive possibilities. I really, really held out hope that I would like the dessert. But alas, I did not. I was really hoping to give this establishment 5 stars, but I feel like 4 stars is quite generous. We ordered here twice to try to give it the best chance possible! The first time I had just gotten off work from a long 10 hour shift, called two hours ahead of time and they took the order and said it would be about 35 min wait; not bad I was thinking! It takes me about 25 minutes to get to this place so I hit the road, I get there and they let me know it's gonna be about an hour for wait- time, they're short staffed. Okay a little irritated because you told me 35 minutes and I would have waited longer but no worries I'll wait, I wait a solid hour and they say it's just finishing up, okay great! Another 15 minutes go by, nothing, everyone's just kinda standing around, I'm like ?? So finally I go and ask and they tell me they actually don't have an order by my name, they called my number and let me know that they ran out of the Silcians pizzas.. they never called me to let me know, not to mention they said it was almost done! So not only did it waste my time but I paid online, they said they refunded me and cancelled the order and that it would be instantly I'd receive my money back. I never did! Not once. Week later still haven't, I called and they said it would just take some time. No apology, no urgency, no sympathy, could have been my last 40$, still nothing! How nice! Well I thought hell maybe they're just thattt good they're busy as heck all the time! I'll let it slide, still haven't received my refund but I ordered this week and it was terrible! Little to no flavor, took hour and 45 mins to receive, they were choppy on the time still, and they literally tasted so mid! Like cardboard. It hurt my teeth to eat!
