Ok, where to start…read more.. (Slightly off topic) Years ago I worked for a company called IKON, and that name was an acronym for "I Know One Name"... after today "I Know One Name In Chicken" Wings. IKONIC WINGS!! We've lived in Grays harbor for 5 years, and all this time there are staples from Seattle that I continue to search for. A good sushi place. A good Chinese place, A good Reuben Sandwich. A good serving of wings. I came across a TikTok or Insta Reel about this place (as I've found many in Thurston that way) so I thought I'd check it out. Well I have to look for further, this place is quaint with wonderful decorations, and a small amount seating. I knew their focus ahead of time was take out, and that's what I was there for. The gal at the counter was very nice, we had a good conversation, we talked about the menu, the sides, and I asked her recommendation for sauces. She told me her couple and I went with it. I ordered a main sauce and then asked if the other sauce if they could be on the side so I could try a variety, and she said she could put them all on the side and I could try them out. (In hindsight I am glad I did because these travels 40 minutes back to grays harbor and they double dipped breading was still crunchy... YES!!! Still crunchy.side note: because we love rural I have a powered hot/cold box that keeps food warm or cold for long drives) The breading has great seasoning and flavor, the plain mean (after the first bite) is seasoned well and very tasty. The wings are very large, which is the way I like them. I tried the Buffalo and the Sweet Blaze, and they were both amazing. I dunked heavily and then topped with some bleu cheese... this is the ONLY wing joint I'll go to. (I think like the heat in the buffalo I think a little over the sweet) The honey biscuits were not too sweet, and very amazing. I couldn't try the Waddles as they were sold out but thats ok, I'll try them next time. Oh and there will be a next time, many next times :) As I started... now "I KNOW ONE NAME IN CHICKEN" Wings Thank you for an amazing experience, and amazing customer service, and a wow moment with that very first bite, and then the oh wow moments as I proceeded with my meal.

Honestly, if you looked up "Ikonic" in Webster's Dictionary, it should just say: Exceptional food. Exceptional service. This is my GO-TO anytime a wing craving hits, and after trying plenty of places, I can honestly say nothing and no one compares. Their wings are always extra crispy, perfectly sauced, and packed with flavor. We have been loyal customers of The RAM since 2019 and regularly visit the Lake Stevens and Marysville locations. We genuinely enjoy the food, atmosphere, and service, which makes this experience particularly disappointing. Upon arrival, we waited approximately 10 minutes to be seated, exactly as the host advised. We ordered drinks and an appetizer, both of which arrived within a reasonable timeframe. From the time we sat down until we received our drinks and appetizer was roughly 15 minutes. After that, however, the experience quickly deteriorated. It took another 15 minutes or more before our server returned to take our entrée orders. The server apologized for the delay, which we appreciated, but unfortunately the delays only became worse. We then waited approximately 45 additional minutes for our main entrées, nobody checked in on our table. By the time the food arrived, our patience had run out and what should have been a special Father's Day meal had become frustrating and exhausting. I immediately asked for the bill and boxes. To make matters worse, not all of our food was delivered at the same time. We continued waiting for our pizza, and when it finally arrived, the center was soggy, undercooked, and literally falling apart. At that point, we chose not to send it back because we simply wanted to leave and salvage what remained of our family's celebration. What was most frustrating was the lack of communication and leadership throughout the entire experience. When I asked why service had been so slow, our server explained that several employees had called out. While staffing shortages can happen and are understandable, the responsibility for managing those situations falls on leadership, not on the frontline staff. The restaurant did removed our appetizer from the bill and provided two burger vouchers, but that does not address the larger issue. Despite obvious service issues throughout the restaurant, no manager ever came to our table to explain the delays, apologize for the experience, or demonstrate any concern for my family who was being affected. The only acknowledgment we received was from our server even though she didn't check on us or give us updates on our food. The real failure here was not the staffing shortage itself--it was the management response to it. If leadership knew they were significantly understaffed, guests should have been informed before being seated or before placing orders. A simple announcement from the host explaining that food service was running substantially behind would have allowed customers to make an informed decision about whether to stay or dine elsewhere. Instead, my family was left waiting without information, while expectations remained unchanged. What made the situation even more confusing was watching a larger party seated after us receive their food, eat, and leave before our entrées were ever served. That only reinforced the perception that the restaurant was not effectively managing its operations during the shift or worse, our family was less important than other families seated there which would be heartbreaking if it were true. This is directed at the leadership team that failed to properly support an obviously understaffed staff and failed to communicate honestly with its customers. And making my family feel very less important than others. I have always enjoyed The RAM and hope this was an isolated incident. However, on one of the busiest dining days of the year, management's lack of preparation, communication, and customer care turned what should have been a memorable Father's Day celebration into a disappointing experience.

We've been loyal customers since 2018 and have spent a lot of money supporting this restaurant over the years, which made this experience even more frustrating. The service was noticeably poor from the start. Our waitress rarely checked on our table, and throughout the evening we were never offered drink refills. We had to go out of our way to get attention whenever we needed something. For a large birthday gathering, we expected much better customer service. What really stood out was that a toddler at our table was asked to turn down their tablet. Under normal circumstances that might be understandable, but this was taking place in a restaurant hosting karaoke with loud music and the usual busy restaurant noise. It felt unnecessary and inconsistent given the environment. As long-time customers, we left feeling unwelcome and overlooked. We understand that restaurants have busy nights, but basic customer service, attentiveness, and common sense should still be expected. Sadly, this experience has caused us to reconsider whether we'll be returning in the future. Also talked the manager before we left. She had her arms crossed brushing off our complaints. Behaving like a Karen dressed with a Chola one button around the neck. Very disappointed.
