It's not my kind of pizza but I can't say it's "bad". We were headed to Old School (on our way from Kitsap County to Bend) as we always like do when we're passing by. Even though we checked Facebook and called to listen to the recording to make sure they were open at 11am day after New Years, they let us down, opening at noon. Quick search and Vic's also opened at noon as did the third I'd looked at. Hungry, and needing to get on the road, we went to Pizza Time which had reasonably good reviews (with most complaints not about the food). This pizza has doughy crust so need I say more? The disc of dough appears to be pressed out and not tossed or worked well. Whatever is done it's not that crunchy, chewy, yummy edge. Oddly, the smaller pizza on display -by the slice -had a much thinner crust, and even more oddly, some slices we had were thinner than others. There is plenty of cheese (too much for my liking but necessary with that much crust). Sauce is also plentiful, highly oregano (and too thick). The pizza reminds us of Costco. So if this is the style you crave, it was made and ready very very fast (12 minutes), hot and relatively inexpensive ($14). We should have gotten the smaller size bc we do NOT want leftovers... read more

This place used to be our go-to for pizza in Olympia. Not anymore. I ordered a deluxe combo pizza and it was the bare minimum. No meat at all. This pizza is waaaay too expensive to be this skimpy. So a huge banner in their outside wall says 2 topping 4.99$ small pizza , huge banner & less than 1 months old but they wouldn't honor their sale price so we paid 14$ instead of 10$ all because they said that's a lunch special but the lunch special is 7 dollars ... I lived in Olympia for a couple of years and this place was a favorite for me then and still a fav today whenever I'm visiting the little sister who lives there. We're both celiac with a gluten allergy so finding a pizza spot for us to crush on requires the fulfillment of three wishes. Wish 1- Have gf pizza. Wish 2- Have said gf pizza that doesn't taste like the cardboard box it came in. Wish 3- Provide dictionary so all employees understand what allergy entails. This place grants all three wishes, oooh yaaah..bring on the Netflix n pizza night. My go to is their gf pizza with pepperoni and olives because when I'm in this mood I basically have the palate of an epicurious 8 year old.. I'm getting olives aren't I? Ordering for gluten allergy means they'll use different cutting utensils and do their very best to reduce contamination. Can't ask for more from a pizza place. Fresh ingredients great hospitality and a very homely vibe. Although very divey and not a place to come with a family to enjoy dinner if you're looking for a quick hit-and-run for a single slice you'll have a couple of seats to choose from. I ordered the 18 inch jumbo pick up special for $13.99 with two toppings. Had the fresh pepperoni and sausage and let me tell you what a delight it was. If the pizza wasn't such a great deal, this place would rate lower, but their slices are tasty and huge. It's $4 for an enormous slice with a can of soda! The service is another story. Slices are generally ready on demand. But if you are waiting for a whole pizza, it takes awhile. The staff attitude generally ranges from ambivalent to unfriendly. They blast hip hop constantly every time I've been here. It is uncensored, so leave the kids outside. Great carry out values as well. Call well ahead if you are in a hurry. We live about 1/2 a mile to a mile away from the shop and received our delivery 1:10 after we ordered. It's Friday so we're understanding that they were probably slammed. When the order arrived we opened the box with wings in it and they were burnt/blackened. We didn't eat them. We usually don't get too worked up over it so we just called. Being regulars we asked them if they could just credit the account for next time and it would be all good. The employee on the phone, name starting with a B, said that they would make new ones send them out and we would have to swap the old ones for the new ones. Sounds kind of reasonable however there was no telling how long it would take to get new wings given the time already and being that we're in a gated marina we would have to hike out and meet a driver near the office. I offered to send a photo as we weren't looking for all of that trouble when we just wanted it done right the first time...wasn't worth the hassle. So I again requested a credit and said don't worry about a re-delivery. This is when the conversation went south and I was told quote "I'm not going to give you free money." Wasn't asking for "free money" just a credit for the mistake. I asked "is this how you treat customers" and the reply was "well you started it." Wow, just wow. Then I asked to speak with the manager and B said "I am the manager." It is just incredible the level of entitlement and condescending nature this place has towards it's customers. Ordered a pizza for self pick-up through Grubhub on yelp. When I went to go pick up the pizza, the business manager said "we don't accept Grubhub orders." When I asked why are they still allowing for customers to place Grubhub orders, he said "Grubhub is using our company's likeness against us." Now I was really confused. ‍ So I slightly reframed my question to why are they still on Grubhub and the response was, "you're going to have to ask Grubhub." Ultimately, I had to request a refund through Grubhub and took my business elsewhere for dinner that night. They made no attempt to remedy the situation and had horrible customer service. For basic, greasy, and GLUTEN-FREE pizza, this is one the two best options in Olympia (the other being Old School). For upscale pizza, La Gitana. Another disappointing experience to say the least. All over a brownie this time! I ordered through the yelp app and my order wasn't complete upon delivery. I didn't notice until my son asked if we could get dessert that the brownie I had already ordered and paid for wasn't delivered. No big deal. I called they offered to bring it out. Cool. Well after debating over Pizza hut franchise vs. Pizza Time local business I decided to go for the local business. Not the best pizza I ever had, better than large franchise Pizza hut though. I thought the deliver was pretty fast and the guy was decently friendly. While the pizza was rather tough and did not seem to be cut all the way through which did cause some minor frustration. I will remember them again but maybe not the best of the best. Though I think their value is better than say pizza hut. As for the paper plates and napkins mind reading thing, just cause you order and are having it delivered to a hotel doesn't mean it's their responsibility to give you the plates and napkins. I always pack a few of those things, but maybe I'm just that sort of prepared person. read more
