There are 22 choices of BBQ sauce; many different flavors, and various degrees of heat although I did not detect any heat at all on the bottom third of the scale. Her favorite sauces were the Honey Mustard and the Teriyaki. Usually I order a honey sweet sauce but I found their Regular BBQ sauce to be my favorite. It was not spicy at all. I ordered the new Philly Cheesesteak sandwich with the straight fries. It was the best one I've ever had and I attribute that to the generous portion of melty Swiss cheese and the new Garlic-Aioli. The dining room is neat and tidy with old photos of Martinsville and subtle pig decor. Outside is a really nice covered patio where pets are welcome. My food came out quickly in a paper bag with my name on it. The BBQ brisket was phenomenal. The sandwich had several generous slices of thick brisket with slightly burnt ends, but moist and tender inside. The meat melted into the bun, which was soft and fresh. This was the best bbq sandwich I'd had in a long time. The spicy sauce, came on the side, was really delicious, too. The cole slaw is prepared in-house, finely chopped with a sweet vinegar dressing. If I wasn't watching my weight I would have tried to devour all those fries because they were excellent, cooked perfectly, exactly the way I like them. For dessert, I chose the Italian Lemon Cake. It was the bomb! Not a huge portion (YAY) to help you avoid feeling over stuffed. I'll be ordering that dessert again for sure. It tasted so good. It wasn't too heavy on the lemon flavor which I loved. Looks like I have found a new regular restaurant for my dining needs. And when I arrived, it was regular unleaded gas only premium. The station has been around for a while, though it seems as if the store has been updated. Maybe in the past five or six years. Dirty inside, but not terrible just the normal day-to-day stuff. They offer lots of options beyond gas. They have an air station, ice, Wood, propane, and inside the store they have the normal stuff of candy, chips, cold drinks, frozen food, cigarettes, lottery tickets, an ATM machine, and worms for fishing. They also have a space where they can make fresh food for me, and they have some prepared most of the time in a hot box. They have a nice drink station, though things seem to be breaking down at this point in time as one part of one machine was broken And another one was just empty. Could use a lot of work. But not bad for a quick stop.
