My wife had the breaded cod and it was very good. We had breaded mushrooms and also corn nuggets. Both were very good. We did not have breakfast there but it looked good and a large variety. I'd been wanting to try Sargent Pepper's Chicken for a while since everyone talks it up, but I was pretty disappointed. I ended up waiting about 45 minutes in the car while my friends went inside to order after I picked them up from the airport. When they finally came back, they had a ton of food and mentioned that the staff gave them extra items to make up for the long wait. Once we got home, though, it became clear that wasn't the case. They must have accidentally given us a portion of someone else's order along with ours. The mix-up aside, the food itself just didn't live up to the hype. (Priority becomes about profit margins & not the customers).. They will possibly lean toward saving time on food prep and saving money on ingredients. The long term Sgt Pepper's Chicken "followers" will quit coming in & their business will become more of a convenience chicken stop for buyers in the immediate area. We have been customers of Sgt Pepper's for over 20 years and used them for my son's graduation party years ago. It just seems in the last 6 months when ordering chicken, rather it be the strips, wings or a whole chicken they seem tough maybe being overcooked and strips seem to have more gristle Per the restaurant you are to call to order or order online for pickup orders. On several occasions In arriving to pickup our order, it appears the drive up is backed up unknown as to why. When I have finally get my food and take it home the meal is lukewarm/or cold and more than likely the order is incorrect. Use to you were able to get your strips and potatoes in one price now they charge you individually for the chicken and fried potatoes. When we got home I had a small potato order. Which would fit into a quarter pounder container. Before when I would have ordered this it came with a jam packed full large container of potatoes. The chicken is awesome, however I've had issues with being shorted on chicken tenders for takeout orders. Just today I got a 7 piece chicken strip and fried potato "deal," which with taxes and 3% charge for using a card, ends up being about $20 total. To add insult to injury, when I got home, I found I had only received 6 chicken strips instead of the 7 I paid for. For my order being quite simple and small, not to mention rather pricey, it's really irritating to be shorted food and I shouldn't have to check before leaving the restaurant to make sure my order is correct. I've also had issues with hot greasy chicken being taken immediately out of the fryer and put into styrofoam containers that have melted right through the bottom of the containers, dumping the chicken everywhere. There just seems to be a lot of carelessness on the part of employees not getting orders correct and not properly packaging to-go orders. read more

We decided to try them after numerous trips past this location which is right beside the Ace Hardware store. Do not be fooled by the small dining area when you walk in where the order counter is because if you go through the rest room hallway there is another larger, and quieter, dining room. Activity was brisk at the order counter for 5 pm. A lot of people came in to order or pick up take out. We dined in. My grandson tried the fish sandwich which consisted of a breaded square of cod. He enjoyed and stated he would order it again. The granddaughter and I split the 4 chicken tenders basket with the fried potatoes. The chicken tasted really good. Much larger pieces than the usual tender. The chicken was a bit greasy as if the tenders came straight from the fry basket without any prior drainage. Some of the fried potatoes were too greasy as a result of the chicken being placed on top of the potatoes. The fried potatoes were interesting and very good. They were sliced too thick to be classified as a traditional potato chip and yet thin enough not to be like a normal fried potato. You get a lot of them and after three of us ate some there were leftovers. We went back to order dessert. The kids opted for the peanut butter cookies which twice the size of normal restaurant cookies. They finished their cookies. I chose the fried biscuits. They were excellent. My only complaint was they came with too little powered sugar. But since they came in a "go" box, I took the rest home and added my own powered sugar. read more

I would eat here every day if I could. We were just looking for something new and quick and stumbled across our new favorite place. Love a happy accident. I obsessed to say the least. You could get anything off the menus and it's going b to be delicious. It's like I walked into my grandma's house. Food cooked with intention and serving sizes to put meat on your bones. The staff was so lovely and gave us some free goodies for my children because the wait was so long even though it was because we ordered half the menu. Intrigued by this place since first noticing it during a quick McDonald's restroom pitstop en route to Bloomington. Reviews had me convinced to give it a try and I was not disappointed! Ordered 7 piece chicken tenders meal, tenders were large, juicy and hand-breaded. Great taste with both BBQ and honey mustard sauces. I chose mac and cheese along with the home made potato chips for sides. Mac and cheese had excellent creamy cheese sauce, chips were thick sliced and not really crispy, but more like home fries. They were not salted, but that's OK, salted to my taste, were very good. My girl had bone-in chicken and the other had a chicken sandwich, both very satisfied. They are doing drive-thru only because of COVID restrictions. We had to wait an extra 7-8 minutes due to getting the bone-in chicken, but otherwise I noticed other customers were going through the drive through pretty quickly. Also, it is at the end of a strip mall, so the set-up is different than what you'd expect with a typical fast food drive thru, it works, though! Wanted to try the mac and cheese balls with all the raving reviews about it but forgot to order. Will definitely get next time! Wife and I decided to give this restaurant a try. I would say I was a good basic chicken dinner. You have to wait a bit for you order. I would suggest you call ahead as the cooking does take time. It was a good sandwich but not outstanding. I ordered the chicken fingers. These were cooked after we ordered. It was nice to have freshly cooked food. For sides we had coleslaw, mushrooms, Mac & cheese and fried potatoes. The coleslaw was really good, and the Mac and cheese was creamy and very cheesy. The mushrooms were standard out of the bag. Unlike many places, these were cooked properly. The real star of the night was the fried potatoes. I thought these would be wedges. They are actually fresh made chips fried to order.
