I asked to be charged for the lunch special but she refused because "we didn't get the side salad." I asked to speak to the manager and she smirked and said she was the manager. I finally got her to give me the lunch special by saying, "Fine, give me the side salad to go." I can't eat iceberg lettuce so it was thrown out. They literally wasted food because she insisted I had to get MORE food in order to pay less money. Since she had waited on us and I intended on tipping, after she smirked at us, I should have told her to take the $4.50 out of her tip (but I didn't.). I still tipped well. I'm a big supporter of small businesses but this is NOT the way to handle a customer. Not every woman with a complaint is a "Karen." Sometimes your employees are behaving in a way that reflects badly on YOU, not them.
