This Wasilla location is consistently making excellent pizzas and not stingy with the toppings, in my opinion. Pizzas are always so beautifully crafted, and never messy. I find that these folks take pride in their work, and focus on quality. They may have struggled with staff in the past- but they seem to have great staff this year! I've been ordering pizzas about 5-6 times per month for the past several months, and never was disappointed. Always friendly staff! It's been a pleasure to go in every single time. Pizza Hut is generally a solid choice for my family since my kids really enjoy the pizza. I placed a order online for pick up the next day and called an hour before pick up to double check it would be ready. I was on hold for 16 min before hanging up. Initially I thought that they were probably swamped but when I pulled in the parking lot was empty as was the restaurant. After checking in for pickup, I was told it would be another ten minutes, which was fine. While I waited, I decided to call to see how they handled the phone calls. Interestingly enough the automated phone put me on hold and the phone on the counter didn't even ring once! Definitely don't plan on ordering by phone. Use the app! They brought their lunch buffet back too, which is a reasonable choice for a car full of kiddos. The pizza is 4 stars but the service bumps it overall to a 3. Good but not great! read more

***Real "Witch" on Halloween***: Imagine you go into what has become mostly a take out or delivery business (Wasilla Pizza Hut) shortly after it opens at 10 a.m. to order approximately $80 worth of food/pizza. The approximately 30-35 year old, female employee who slowly saunters up to the counter doesn't know what the "Deals" are other than the largest pizza they have. How can you only know of one deal? Also, Witch states she cannot honor the Alaska online deal prices in store. So, you try to pull up the ever so slow Pizza Hut site to make the order online. (Actually in the recent past they WERE able to honor those prices, but it's quickly plain this employed Witch is totally inflexible.) Before you can make your order the Witch asks you if "there's food in your McDonald's bag," which you have with you because you just crossed the street from there on foot (no vehicle to leave it in). Witch then states that "bag with food cannot be in there because if you get sick off of Ronald McDonald's food in the Pizza Hut, she can be held liable." You tell said Witch that you "do not intend to consume that food there and are only ordering pizza." Witch repeats again sternly "it cannot be in here." At this point you become so disgusted with this obstinate form of absolute ridiculousness that you say... "Ok, this is just nuts, you're just being an *ss, so forget about the $80. of business I was about to transact here!" Further upon leaving you tell said Witch what she just did "was absolutely nuts and not necessary!" Although, the Wasilla Pizza Hut as some here have noted is definitely not what it used to be, you could still eat there generally serving yourself or carry out. However, after the total, utter rude interaction with the Witch, who for the Owner worked between 10 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. on 10/31/23, I DO NOT intend to in any way support t this business again in the future. Absolutely the worst interaction ever with any restaurant employee in over 50 years of life experience. No one deserves this type of poor human to human interaction or service in any type of business, let alone when simply trying to order pizza and let alone a Veteran with many years of service. I have been to pizza huts in England, Australia and France all buffers were brilliant, this one was horrid! Wierd thing is that it almost seems likes the take out pizzas taste and even look better! First we walked in and there was 5 kids running around, we sat down and no one even came to greet us. Pizzas from here have gotten smaller and more expensive. Very sparse on toppings and barely a difference if you pay for extra of any topping. The pizza seems to be ok at this place. I have had pizza hut all over the states and it all tastes about the same pretty descent. But the restaurant in wasilla is just disgusting. I got two different forks and both were bent so bad they hurt my mouth. I stole my wife's ford and ate some pizza with it. The bench i was sitting on was broke and I had to balance my weight on it so i didn't fall off. With all the bad reviews about how filthy this place is, you'd think they would clean it. Nope. ALL surfaces are sticky, bathrooms worse than a porta-john. You can smell the sewer odor at the soda fountain which is in the hallway to the bathrooms. Booths in poor shape with some broken benches. I half fell sliding out of mine. The staff is friendly but obviously unmotivated. They pizza is typical greasy Pizza Hut pizza. The kids love it for whatever reason, but we won't be back, this place is NASTY. I agree "our" Pizza Hut needs to be updated: furniture replaced, carpet replaced, etc. BUT the little kids they've hired as employees are so polite and so thoughtful, I go there whenever I need a quick, cheap meal with family and friends. Maybe the kids are getting paid a decent wage, and it's not owned by Pizza Hut Inc but just a regular guy trying to get by. The food is good. The workers are nice. Avoid dining in. I've eaten at this place in the 1980's, and as far as I can tell, the interior hasn't changed since then... except for 20+ years of lackadaisical cleaning and maintenance. If you're absolutely jonesing for Pizza Hut, order it for pick-up... that said, I've had multiple bad customer service experiences at the pick-up window. However, they do usually have it ready in 30 minutes, and that is the only reason I gave them an extra star. Keep in mind that there are at least two places within a couple of miles where you can get better pizza, and both places are cleaner, have more professional staff, and a much better beer selection. The wait time from when we sat down until our order was taken was way too long but not as long as it took to get the food. I could understand if they were busy but there were only 3 other tables. The P'zone was sad to say tasteless. I had canadian bacon and pineapple. The ratio of meat to pineapple was a joke, leaving the food to be overly sweet.
