We saw the big sign out front $8 pizza buffet. We planned a meal while visiting the caverns. When we ordered they said we would pay after. I said we would just have water She said drink comes with it So we said OK we will get a soda. The pizza was absolutely horrible. The salad was good. When we were done we went to pay & we were told we have to pay $3 per soda. We explained the other girl told us it was included. She argued with me saying on the weekends soda comes with it but not the weekday. It was all a bunch of croc. We just paid what she said we owed & got put of there. This spot is awesome, pizza buffet is only $8 adult, $6.50 child which feels insane in 2026. They put out a huge selection, at least 12 regular pizzas/breadsticks and another 6 dessert pizza/breadstick options. We arrived around 6pm and at first I was disappointed there were mostly old half eaten pizzas but they started cranking out fresh ones as the dinner crowd arrived. I will say I was not a fan of their thin crust, it's very stiff and dry almost like a cracker - but the pan crust was great, reminded me of old school Pizza Hut. Salad bar had an average number of options although needed to be restocked. We didn't try the nuggets/mac n cheese etc but looked decent. Our server did a great job refilling our drinks and checking on us. My son was very excited to play in their arcade. Honestly if it were more expensive I'd probably only rate them a 3.5 or 4, but they definitely earn the 5th star back on value for your money. I could definitely see myself taking my kid here at least once or twice a month if we lived in town. It was a terrible visit. I hate to say this statement so harshly but that's truly what it was. To start on a nicer note the food was decent but the salad was empty and the servers didn't fill it up, even when customers asked and were standing around it. I know for a fact they had salad because the servers kept coming out of the back with containers of it for to-go orders. On the other note, I walked inside and was ignored the whole time. My mother had to go up and ask for a drink and when she did the server said that there was a table ahead of us without looking at her! The same server kept circling around my table, and would repeatedly make eye contact with me,and just completely ignore me! He did the same to other customers as well. When we finally confronted him and got the manager he proceeded to argue that he was understaffed when the server was in fact serving the tables except a few. Then said server began to record the manager arguing with the man that spoke up against the server. In this video he recorded a minor without consent when they didn't want to be recorded. I wish I could speak about a positive note, but there truly wasn't one. It was overall a terrible experience compared to the other times i've been. I believe they need to improve their staff management, and service. I didn't walk in with high expectation, knowing it isn't a high end place to dine, but I did expect to be welcomed nicely and treated respectfully. I do not want to just be acknowledged by finally commenting on the appalling experience, nor want to recorded underage. AMAZING SERVICE AND STAFF! We're on Day 2 of a 14-day driving vacation, through the midwest, and had just finished a morning hike in Carlsbad Caverns. Our beautiful autistic daughter, Melody, wanted pizza and we had previously scheduled to have it for lunch (planning without surprises is critical to her happiness). Even though the restaurant was closing in 10 minutes, for a deep cleaning, the manager (Ruben) made an exception to allow the 8 of us in to eat. Crisis averted! On top of that, the staff made my daughter feel at home by making her favorite pizza just for her - Alfredo sauce and cheese. Remember, they were CLOSING in 10 minutes but still took the time to cook our pizza. As if it wasn't enough, our server (John) took such great care of us, offered us awesome conversation and went out of his way to keep all 8 of us enjoying lunch. Then, out of nowhere, produced a chocolate chip pizza for us to enjoy on our 3 hour drive to Alamogordo. I am blown away, sincerely, regarding what our family just experienced for such a low price! I walked in the door the place was clean and people are friendly and the buffet looks so good but I placed a to go order. Once they put a pizza out it doesn't last long people come and get it while it is hot . And the salad bar is clean and well stocked. And got a play area for the kids and tv's with sports on. Second, the salad bar was not stocked and there wasn't a good variety to choose from. 3rd the wait was insane. We came here after a soccer tournament with no warning right before they closed. The man who worked here was courteous and went out of his way to help us. Another team showed up about 10 minutes after, and he helped them too. He was very polite, professional, and gracious to everyone... even though he was the only one serving and helping people. The waitress was very nice, but the food was a solid 2/10. My friends and I are from out of town and we thought a pizza buffet sounded like a good idea; we were wrong. For starters, the water tasted like it came straight out of a hose. We picked several different types of pizza from the buffet and each slice was pretty dry. Not only did they accommodate a soccer team/about 20 people as we walked in their door, but they accommodated a person who has special dietary needs. Place was packed when we arrived but the buffet was full of pizza and deserts. Our section waitress never showed up but Monica (waitress for other section) came to our table and apologized to us after we sat for 6 minutes. Monica then took over our table and was on the ball. Ok lemme start by saying this place was a total surprise, we had been traveling all day and stopped in because we wanted a salad. The salad bar was full of veggies that were chopped up by the laziest person ever, odd sizes, too thick slices etc. but damn! that salad was good! The ranch was excellent. The wait staff all looked like Juggalos, possibly with meth habits, but it was clean in the restaurant and the spaghetti was off the chain! We did not feel safe here, or enjoy our food. On the surface, this place seems like a family-friendly little pizza joint. The staff is friendly and the games in the back are fun for kids while adults eat and talk. But the pizza and mac and cheese were barely lukewarm, and the food quality was mediocre at best. Moreover, we just felt like it was a super irresponsible/unsafe place to be during the pandemic. We called ahead before coming, to ask if they were practicing safety measures due to COVID, and they said yes, but we should have asked more questions. When we walked in, not a single server, cook, or other staff member was wearing a mask. There was no real social distancing. Tables were too close together, and we were told "sit anywhere you want." The food on buffets was not adequately protected by the narrow strips of glass above them. The server approached our table and stood way too close while she told us how they've been "fighting the governor" for trying to maintain COVID health protocols and "our boss tells us we don't have to wear masks if we don't want to." I sarcastically said, "Yeah, fight that fight--to heck with public health!" but she just nodded and agreed. I have to repeat that everyone working here seemed very friendly and kind--they just weren't practicing food safety or responsible customer service in the current situation. They did have some safety measures in place--mainly the plastic gloves they provided for handling the utensils at the salad bar. But it's common knowledge that COVID spread is almost all airborne and happens in close quarters, so it seems wildly irresponsible to require no masks of customers *or* employees who approach tables and handle food, and to not remove or tape off tables to maintain social distancing as we've seen in most other places. The choices being made by this establishment are very different from what we've seen in any other state during the pandemic--we travel full-time, and although we eat out only a couple times a month, in the past year we haven't seen ONE other single restaurant as disregarding of public safety as this place in terms of distancing and masks. Was told it would be ready in about 10-15 minutes. Cam back in 15 and still no order. Waited in the store for another 20 minutes before we even had our food. No real apology and the only thing they offer in compensation was a 2 liter of soda. I took the offer but they didn't have the flavor we wanted. This is a restaurant I have come to since I was a child. Came back to town and wanted some good pizza. Now it seems like the restaurant is run by children. My group eats there every month. Most of them eat the pizza, but the sauce gives me heartburn!! The salad bar is quite good though and I am addicted to their cheesy garlic toast. WARNING 1: to vegetarians or someone who keeps kosher. The bread knots now have pepperoni in them...stick to the flat cheesy bread. The servers try to keep the pizza/salads stocked, but if you DON'T see what you want, ASK. They will make a fresh pizza and bring you the first slices before putting the remainder on the bar. WARNING 2: it can get LOUD and crowded when school is out....there is a game room at the back!!! OTOH the kids can go play while the adults get some rest!!!
