Friendly staff is the only reason that I'm giving them a two instead of one. The pizza was not good, even when we asked for fresh. Saw that this place had decent reviews on trip advisor, and I soon learned to never trust trip advisor. The place was dark and dirty. Two employees just stood at the register and didn't acknowledge us when we came in. We have never been here before so we didn't know how it worked. After paying they just said "you're good". Good for what? Where are the cups? Do we just sit anywhere? Multiple dirty tables with dishes piled up and there were far more employees than customers (we were the only customers besides a school group that left soon after we arrived. The pizza all looked like it was sitting out for days and tasted dry and disgusting. No flavor to the watered down pasta. The salad bar was okay. Between the two of us not one single pizza slice was finished from how gross it was. One slice even broke in half from being so old. Needless to say we will not be coming back here! Horrible food and the employees just play on their phones or stare at you making it uncomfortable as you're attempting to eat their "food". Save your money go anywhere else. Very good pizza inn buffet. You walk in and pay the attendant, you seat yourself. They have a salad bar with fresh romaine and iceberg lettuce, your choice or you can mix the two like I did. They had soup and macaroni salad and a pasta bar. The pizza was fresh, I asked a gentleman for a request and he put it in very quickly and even came out and told me it was on the bar. All you can drink soda from the machine. I love their crushed ice. Overall, a great pizza buffet. Great, fresh pizza. read more

We keep coming back because the food is always fresh and delish, the service is great, and the ambiance is the good ol pizza buffet with gumball machines and coin slot games. I'm new to the area and I drove here thinking it would be a good spot to go. Doors were locked and place was shut down. The sign on the door states the operating hours and they should have been open. It looked like a newer location, so I figured maybe they haven't had a "grand opening or official opening" yet. Three more times I go there and still completely closed. Okay. 5 stars for three reasons and it isn't because of the servers. This location has REAL bathrooms! The nice ones, like at Belk, where the wall goes all the way to the floor and doors without "a view"! They have great music playing. None of that mess with words no one understands. If you've been to CiCis or Snappy Tomato and tried their hot pizza buffet...don't fret. This is SO MUCH BETTER! Pizza was flavorful and most were thin crust which put a skip in my step! KUDOS to the salad prep gal! I don't expect any gastrointestinal illness after enjoying it. Fresh EVERYTHING! Of course I've already posted about pellet ice which iced the cake AND slammed a cherry on top! The servers seem...well...unnecessary in this location. I sat down and SAT for 5 minutes before I got up and asked how this restaurant works. I had stepped out to bathroom. Came back to a beverage. No server. Do I order? Just go up there? No clue. Visited the restaurant on 9/17/23. Go in pay for my family's meal. Clerk says oh it's asking for a tip, so I leave a 15% tip. The second I tap the screen for it he says oh you get your drinks over there. So no server. Who's my $8 plus dollar tip going too? Then all the workers behind the bar are just standing there talking. Not one person asks us if we'd like any certain kind of pizza. We're there for about an hour and they only set on one new pizza. Everything on the salad bar is cross contaminated. There's olives in the pudding, cheese in the bacon bits that are at least 3 to 4 containers away from each other and lettuce in the other ingredients. This might not seem like a big deal but if it's the ceasar salad mixed in with the other stuff that's a danger to pregnant women. Finally someone comes out checks the salad bar and only picks up one stray piece of lettuce on the outside. At one point the clerk disappeared and customers are just standing there waiting. We also had to ask for kid cups because there was none out. The only person in the restaurant working is the lady bussing the tables and she's having to run to the counter to help customers too. Also while we are there one of the workers stops and gives my husband a really mean look the entire time he's fixing his plate then suddenly notices that I'm watching him jumps and runs behind the counter. What was up with that? On top of all this the food was mediocre. Don't waste your time and money people. read more

Lackluster pizza served on a buffet with constant shortages, pizza slices are cut razor thin and you end up grabbing the food with your hands since the pies are not cut all the way through. Not all the food advertised was available, no wings for example. The salad bar looked depleted. Dessert pizza selection was very limited. Staff have a 'tude' going that doesn't help. We were planning on heading to Knoxville for CiCi's Pizza for the buffet when a family member said, "I think Pizza Inn has a buffet." We decided to give it a shot -- having no expectations at all. At first we were concerned that it was going to be too pricey to take our large family (8 of us), but with $7.49 per person, we saved the gas money to Knoxville. Not only that, but we mentioned that my son (20) had gastric bypass surgery and would only be able to eat 1 or 2 pieces of pizza. They charged him for the child's buffet and he felt better about eating out with us. As for the selection of pizza, it was quite surprising. I went up for the pepperoni and while I was there, a gentleman stepped out and asked if I had any special requests or dietary needs. I said, "I've never been here before, so I don't know." He said, "I'll make you a sampling of what we have." A little bit later a young man stepped out and said, "Macaroni and Cheese!" -- and yes... it was mac and cheese pizza. Then a moment later I heard, "BBQ Chicken!" -- and it was a BBQ chicken pizza. Now, I'm a traditional pizza guy -- I don't even like the white sauces or green sauces on a pizza. But I was feeling daring and took a slice of the BBQ chicken pizza, a slice of the "burrito pizza" (imagine a Taco Bell Burrito Supreme opened flat -- but on a pizza crust instead of a tortilla. I have to say that the BBQ pizza was absolutely delicious. Sincerely the best piece of pizza I have had in Tennessee. All of the other pizza's were good, but the BBQ stood out. The wait staff and hostesses were a delight and I felt welcomed and well taken care of. I will definitely be back. read more

The first time we went, we had the buffet which was not so good. The wait was not terrible but it was a weekday and lunch time. The second time, we ordered a pie and it was very good! The wait this time was horrible. Nobody at front, one person in charge of too much. Third and final time, called ahead to order, someone came to front quickly but left as I was signing reciept to help others sit and seemed to forget about me. Again, hire more workers. Was told "thin crust" is their "regular" crust. It was hard, plastic feeling and just awful. Was better MICROWAVED. Never going here again! Stopped here on a whim. Pizza buffet was awesome and if the type of pizza you wanted wasn't there they make it for you. The desert pizza was awesome too. The servers were on top of everything making sure our drinks were full, cleaning the table etc. $6.99 all you can eat was affordable and they had cute guys cooking the food. read more

They are good about keeping the buffet filled with pizza as long as there are 10+ customers in the restaurant which is understandable, however, even when they have just put a pizza out, half the time it already seems cold! I really can't stand cold pizza. But for the most part this restaurant is alright. Most people would enjoy it I think. read more

I arrived at this restaurant at 5:45pm. There's a sign at the door that says "Please wait to be seated". There was no Hostess at the podium. Beside the podium, at the cash register, was a young woman on the phone and refusing to look at me, or even acknowledge my presence. Ten minutes tick by and still no hostess, not even an acknowledgement, and the young lady is still on the phone. Was so not impressed. There were maybe 9 tables that had people seated at them, so not busy at all, there were hardly no pizzas out and what was out was cold. Thought the pizza itself was more bland. The crust could have been more flavorful. The whole time we were there they only put out 2 pizzas and one thing of cheese bread. For the price of what we paid, I personally thought it was steep.
