If you're looking for a slice and a coke, it doesn't get better than pizza Johnys. I can't think of a better place for just a slice. The inside is very cool and nostalgic of an old school pizza Joint, but it's also very hot in there and if it's busy, it becomes very difficult to eat at the bar. When my husband got there, they said they did not have my order and they didn't get it through their order system even though I showed them they had confirmed. When we asked for money back because we couldn't wait they then said give us 30 minutes because we didn't get it and we haven't made it. Not sure if this place is under new management or what is going on. I placed my order over the phone for a large half pepperoni, halfveggie pizza. I checked the pizza and they forgot to add the pepperoni. I expected them to remake the pizza seeing as how they screwed up the order? Nope. They just threw a bunch of pepperoni slices on top and called it a day. If it came down to that I could've just done that myself at home...? I guess professionalism is hard to come by nowadays. Very disappointed with today's order. I tried placing an order on Grubhub only to find out that after taking my time adding items, they could not deliver to my area. So... I decide to place the order on grubhub & pick it up. I went to pick it up, only to be greeted with a surprise from the counter staff, "oh you placed an online order?" Had to wait an additional 15-20 min & to also be told that a they no longer have a part of my order & they will replace it with something else. They did not even offer a credit & I was told what they were going to replace my item with, mozzarella sticks. Not even given an option. The food is great, but the staff is subpar & in need of skills. The only reason I'm giving 3 stars is because the food is consistently good, but I don't need the aggravation. I had a very disappointing experience at this pizza place today. I placed my order online through their website, which directed me to Seamless. The confirmation said my order would be ready at a certain time, so I went to pick it up. When I arrived, the restaurant had about 3 people waiting, I waited around but no one acknowledged me for several minutes. Eventually, one employee told me someone else was "taking care of me," even though she had been standing at the counter the entire time without acknowledging me. I told the gentleman no no one is taking care of me yet he said yeah yeah she is. After more waiting, same employee finally said my pizza would be ready in five minutes. I continued to wait, but nothing happened. Then, suddenly, they told me they never received my order at all and insisted I should have placed it directly with them. This was very frustrating because their own website had redirected me to Seamless. To make matters worse, I overheard the staff saying it would take another 30 minutes if they started the order now, and one of them even said, "If she doesn't like it, refund her." Umm excuse me?? How unprofessional is that ? Mind you this place is alright not even the best out there but I had promise my toddlers pizza and it was already 8pm! I said go ahead and refund me and I left. I know exactly what happened no one checked the iPad and didn't see the order not to mention the gentleman was convinced the order came in through grub hub after I showed him PROOF on my email and text message! I had a text message that my order was ready. Either they gave my pizza to the wrong person or clearly these employees have no idea what they are doing. Another note this could have been avoided if I would have been addressed and welcomed from when i walked in. Truly a horrible experience!!! One of the best pizzas I've had. My kids loved it, we have been here twice and are definitely coming back. The staff is great and friendly. Their desserts are amazing !! So it doesn't look like much from the outside, but this pizza is great! Definitely meant for pick up or delivery, since it's a bit tiny inside. The staff is super friendly. I don't think I've ever waited more than 30 mins when ordering ahead. The pizza is super tasty. Not too much sauce. Just enough cheese. And the dough crisps up on the edges without that burnt taste. The pizza was good, the garlic rolls were not good though, and the pasta was alright. This place was great for pizza but okay on the rest. Tried for the first time. Definitely not a chain and they have the benefit of independence. The marinara sauce on both the meatball parmigiana and eggplant parmigiana was very tasty! The amount of Ricotta on the Eggplant parmigiana sandwich was more than generous. The staff is friendly and attentive. The only disappointment was the ratio of bread to meatballs on the meatball parmigiana sandwich as it was heavy on the bread and light on the meatballs. However, the meatballs were great. Suggest they enhance their website a bit, as it could use some more photos and/or menu descriptions (Ex. What are their World Famous Pepperoni & Cheese Bites? This is my second time going to Pizza Johny's. I went the first time about 3 or 4 years ago and was extremely pleased with the pizza and taste. Don't know why it took me so long to go back. That won't happen again...I will def go back more often. The owner Johny is friendly and welcomes all of his customers and asks how their food was. I like that. He seems genuine and you can tell he takes pride in his restaurant and products. I'm glad the store has expanded to double the size. Now there is more seating. I ordered a plain slice and a meat spiral. They came out quickly, were fresh, and hot. Both tasted amazing! I wish I lived closer because I would go there at least once a week.
