I've been a Pizza Johny's customer for more than a decade, and I'm now never giving them my business again. You can thank Victor. He went from zero to hostile on the phone with me after I inquired about a discount I was promised last time I ordered from there because we had to pick up the pizza we ordered for delivery after their driver called in sick. He repeatedly interrupted me, repeatedly asked me what I wanted when I'd already said it, and at one point apologized for being rude -- before going right back to being rude. When I asked if there was a manager to speak with, he told me there wasn't. I finally hung up on him after he said to me, "What, so your want us to pay you the delivery fee? Four dollars," like I was being cheap or something for expecting them to follow through on a promise they made when they botched our order last time. So, thanks, Victor, for narrowing down the list of pizza joints I'll be giving my money to. read more

This is my second time going to Pizza Johny's. I went the first time about 3 or 4 years ago and was extremely pleased with the pizza and taste. Don't know why it took me so long to go back. That won't happen again...I will def go back more often. The owner Johny is friendly and welcomes all of his customers and asks how their food was. I like that. He seems genuine and you can tell he takes pride in his restaurant and products. I'm glad the store has expanded to double the size. Now there is more seating. I ordered a plain slice and a meat spiral. They came out quickly, were fresh, and hot. Both tasted amazing! I wish I lived closer because I would go there at least once a week. I love pizza and this place reminded me of a small pizza joint in Battery Park NYC. I ordered two slices and a drink to go. Came out to be $9.00 w tip. Check out the check-in offer they have going before you place your order. The pizza was thin and crispy, just how i love it. The sauce was delicious with a hint of sweetness. No abundance of cheese on the pizza, which i love because too much cheese kills it for me. The place is small with a couple of hightop tables inside and a few outside as well. The decor reminded me of authentic nyc pizza places. The far right wall has picture frames of nyc skyline with a funny job application on the wall for wannabe gangsters to join the mob. Ha! Amazing authentic New York style pizza very kind staff, easy ordering, and fast service

We love Pizza Johnny's pizza! The crust is perfection. I tend to order to go because have had bad experiences with delivery drivers but nonetheless back to the food... the garlic rolls are so yummy and you can even order them stuffed with pepperonis. The pasta is decent shared the chicken alfredo. We love the deserts as well. This place can get busy over the weekends so be mindful of that, especially during dinner time. read more

I used to come here and enjoyed the pizza. Well, last few visits were terrible. I came in a few weeks ago, ordered a large pie and 2 slices of Sicilian. Saw the pizza maker put the Sicilian slices in the oven. Paid my order and NEW cashier gives me my order. I came home to a large pie and 2 regular slices. Called up immediately and was told I can have my Sicilian slices credited. Spoke with a thin tall manager showing him my receipt and he basically tells me it's not his problem. So, I happen to order more pies for my house, address my problem with the owner and he looks annoyed at me (as I have the order ready to show on my phone) and tells the cashier give it to her next time. He hid in the back and wouldn't come back out. Anyways, without telling my family my niece orders a Hawaiian pizza and it was a dumped can of pineapple on the pizza couldn't pick it up soggy! I will never do business with this place again! There are more pizza parlors in the area. 2 brothers and mikes pizza where you get great customer service and not a nasty attitude from the owner. Was in the mood for pizza and didn't want to drive out to my usual pizza place, so I decided to check if there were any local pizza shops near my place. Found Pizza Johnny's on Yelp and decided to give them a chance. I ordered delivery and received an email letting me know the pizza would be delivered in 60 minutes, however, it arrived in closer to 30 minutes, which was a nice surprise. Pizza arrived promptly and still piping hot. Very happy with the service and product. I think I found a new pizza place to order from, from now on! We ordered from uber eats and unfortunately an uber driver that was our driver took our order so long story short our order was delayed but then Johny himself called my roommate and apologized, he rushed our order and even sent us complimentary dessert. One of my top pizza spots in Miami! The Mac n cheese bites are SO FIRE! The garlic rolls are very refreshing, not too pungent and not dry at all. The staff here is very respectful. I'm unsure if the older guy is the owner but he makes you feel so welcomed once you come in. He's very honest on what you should try when you have a craving. Very sweet! When I crave pizza this is one of my favorite places to get my fix. Their pepperoni pizza is one of the best and if you are trying to be healthy they have amazing salads too. Right off the bat the customer service was very good and friendly, they even called us when the food was about to be ready. The actual food was good, but definitely not what i expected. The chicken wings were very salty and the garlic rolls were drenched in oil. The Sicilian pizza was okay, a bit undercooked. What saved the whole experience was the meatball & ricotta pizza. Everyone knows that pepperoni is my weakness. I had two of my friends rant and rave about this place so I had to pay them a visit to see what the buzz was all about Yes, it's totally authentic. It's like if I closed my eyes and opened them up whilst standing in Manhattan awaiting a solid slice from some highly esteemed pizzeria. By the way, their lasagna is out of this world. Aside from the dough being freshly made and baked with a robust portion of hearty marinara and fresh cheese spread above-they're truly ahead of their time. The fettuccine with chicken had zero flavor which is definitely a never order again unless they change the recipe. My wife had the chicken parm and was pretty good. I'm a recent transplant to the southern end of the county - by recent I mean 3 yrs now. In those 3 years I've been trying to find a good pizza place to replace my preferred spot located in the northern end of the county (easily 45 mins - 1 hr away). I haven't been successful and now approach each new pizza joint I try with apprehension and expect disappointment. Pizza Johny's delivers on what a NY style pizza is. The staff is ultra friendly - which isn't the case at many businesses (including my preferred pizza joint). The garlic rolls were fantastic! Very soft and flavorful - which apparently is difficult to find now. As for the pizza flavor - I would have preferred a slightly more robust or flavorful sauce. It was a bit bland for me - but I'm willing to give the place another try in the event for this was a one off. I'm really hoping this ends up being my go to place for when I want/need a pizza fix. Discovered this Jen out of luck just driving by, if your looking for that traditional NY pizza this is the place no imposters here solid to the core. There service is friendly and very helpful with suggestions. The interior takes you into NY as soon as you walk in and go's all the way inside. The pizza I ordered was just a little under cooked only reason for the four start rating to it to go so a few mins. in the oven solved it nothing serious maybe next time will ask for a little more crispy the rolls were on point with lots of garlic and cheese. I use to love this place and have been a patron for a very, very long time. Today was an indication of how low this establishment has gotten. I called ahead and ordered my food. The person confirmed and even wrote my name even though it was in the system. I even asked what I had last time and he seemed so confused that I just gave him my usual order. When I arrived and gave my name surprise, surprise they didn't have anything by that or my phone number. Everyone seemed super busy running around but there was nobody in the restaurant. The baker who may have recognized me and my frustration got in and tried to fix the thing only to tell the front desk lady to take my order again. She takes my order three times still very confused didn't know or maybe didn't want to be there in the first place. It is sad that this will be my last time ever going to Pizza Johnny's! I have loved Pizza Johnny's for years but service has declined exponentially. I live less than 2 miles from the shop and last order waited THREE HOURS for delivery. Tossed it up to a fluke! Today, same experience and after 2 hours of no delivery and calling to check on order, we were told it had not left yet. I asked to cancel order and they said they would not do that! Having heard so many of my close friends rave about Pizza Johny's pies, I figured I'd finally give it a shot Saturday night. I picked up the phone and called ahead to place the order, which they gladly took over the phone. My drop dead gorgeous girlfriend & I opted to get the medium Prosciutto & Arugula Specialty Pizza alongside a half order of garlic rolls which came out to the total of $23.52. Once we arrived for pickup we were warmly greeted by the staff, adding more to the excitement I had to try the pizza. We waited a few more minutes before I heard "MR.!" followed by my name. My order was complete and prior to handing it over, the friendly staff member opened the order up to ensure I was satisfied with the order to which I was. After seeing the pizza, I could hardly contain my excitement any longer! The moment we got home, I slammed the movie on and grabbed a slice. At first I was in awe at the freshness from the ingredients, but very quickly after a few more bites in I became increasingly morbidly confused. It turns out that Prosciutto & Arugula Specialty Pizza uses an oil & herb base rather than the traditional tomato red sauce. This was pretty devastating for after two slices of the pie, I just couldn't bring myself to have another bite. Not to say the pizza was bad, it just felt like it was missing a crucial ingredient that without it, gave the pizza more a salad/sandwich feel rather than of a pizza lover's experience. Add to the fact that the rolls weren't as good as I've heard as it just felt like I was consuming more bread. Maybe my batch simply came out bad? Overall I was pretty disappointed, I really thought I was gonna enjoy my order as it was something unique I'd never tried before on a pizza, let alone been to the famous Pizza Johny's. Still the customer service was phenomenal, greeting each customer coming in as well as greeting the regulars by their names to add that family atmosphere to the store. Therefore, my recommendation is that for those of you whom have never been to pizza johny's I will strongly advise you to stick with the classics like the cheese or pepperoni pizzas to really be able to get a taste of Johny's cooking. As the great Gucci Mane once said, "If a man does not have sauce, then he is lost. But the same man can get lost in the sauce."Although I won't be back soon, I hope the next time I visit I'll be experiencing the latter rather than the former again. read more

Amazing great pizza and sandwiches. Be prepared if you get the large the box will NOT fit in a refrigerator for leftovers. It is huge and delicious. You can get the larger party pizza without paying extra for each topping. So if you have a large party it's a great option. We ate steak and pizza subs and took a pizza home for later. Service was great. They genuinely love making thier food and you can see the kitchen area from the store front. There are a few tables outside and some high tables inside but they do alot of to go orders. Most sandwiches are 9.99 and pizza goes from a 14" at $13.99 up to a huge 24" for $29.99 plus extra for each topping. Really worth the cost and we have become regulars. It's hard to find good NY style pizza in Miami. A few notable places have come and gone but Pizza Johny's beats them all. I'd be curious for Dave Portnoy to try a slice here. I think he'd judge it be very good and certainly the best in South Florida. There are other great pizza places in Miami. I can think of Steve's and Miami's Best right off the bat but they aren't really NY style. For that, you best bet is Pizza Johny's read more
