We were worried they weren't going to be good when we realized they didn't come with sauce and the buffalo was more of a rub but they were surprisingly juicy and tasty, a bit spicy, but not too bad. We also really liked the spicy chopped! Also not too spicy as long as you don't bite into a jalapeño and really creamy - the egg and bacon were a good touch. I really wanted to like Pizza Lobo. The atmosphere and set up is so completely cute. I love the outdoor area. Even though it was raining, they still had the indoor area open so that you could get the outside air. The set up itself is seat yourself. They have lots of long picnic tables and four tops. They have high and low tables and it's really comfy and friendly atmosphere. The bar sits in the middle with several TVs and lots of folks watching the World Cup. The ordering is done on an app which was fine, but it did not allow us to choose different types of meat for the pizza because we wanted half-and-half and you could only choose one meat. The reason for the three stars, unfortunately for me was the service. The waitress was completely rude when I asked her for lemons for my ice tea (she actually rolled her eyes as she turned away) and when I asked for Parmesan cheese, she told me it was "in the corner" which confused me. I was not aware that you had to get your own plates and silverware and condiments for the pizza which were in a different area from where we were sitting, as it was our first time so we didn't know how it worked, but she never said anything so we just kind of got up and got our own cheese from the bar. It was very odd. No one ever came to ask us how our food was and we found boxes on the other side of the bar and boxed up our pizza. My partner and I tried Pizza Lobo for the first time recently and it was delicious. He ordered the spicy meatball (because we heard their vodka sauce pizzas are legendary) and I ordered the white pizza. Both were delicious! The spicy meatball had a kick but wasn't overpowering. A Meetup group event meant I had no excuse to put off visiting Pizza Lobo. I'm glad I got the opportunity, for I crossed it off the list, got a review out of it, and found a place I see myself returning to as the weather becomes decidedly less HHH (hazy, hot, and humid). To drink, I tried the Schilling Moon Berries Cider and a glass of house-made Strawberry Lemonade. Both were very well balanced and not overly sweet, bitter, or sour. I was a little surprised that the cider was only 9oz--this is on the full menu, though I *think* the letterboard doesn't have it. For pizza, I tried a slice of Borgata and one of White Russian. The Borgata was excellent! The pepperoni, basil, ricotta, hot honey, cheese, and sauce all played together superbly. There was a good balance of ingredients to bread, and nothing felt overdone. The White Russian was a little less impressive. This felt like a solid slice of cheese pizza with extra garlic notes. While also generally well balanced, I felt that the cornicione extended a bit far for my taste. Perhaps the Borgata left some big shoes to fill? I'd also like to touch on this: there was a salad brought to the table which I think was on the house, and for all of us to share. It was lettuce, cheese, and some dressing in a plastic ramekin. I hate to look a gift horse in the mouth, truly. At the same time, the leaves were massive beyond need. Not only am I a stickler for items leaving the kitchen not needing additional prep (except for cutting a steak). Even if I wasn't such a purist, their setup makes it much harder to cut these down to size at the table During the summer months, while there is "indoor" seating at the bar, the open garage-door style wall means you might be isolated from direct sun and wind, but not from the "HHH." However, if the weather permits, there is a spacious outdoor and semi-outdoor (covered, picnic-ish tables) area to enjoy your food and drink with friends (or alone, I don't judge). Ordering happens via QR codes that allow one to order and pay in one go (very convenient). Other than slices taking longer than I expected, I have no complaints with the service. Considering their setup, they are not at the same level as a full-service sit-down place, but a tier below. Not a negative, just the nature of their business. I also want to give credit that when I ordered and paid for a slice of "IYKYK", and it turned out they ran out, they fully refunded me and allowed me to switch to a slice of White Russian on the house. Thank you. (By the way, for those ordering via mobile, we don't know what IYKYK is, and asking means calling the place from their own patio?!) Finally, when it comes to the value, while not a steal, I felt as though I got my money's worth. Thus, other than the great slice of Borgata, Pizza Lobo delivers a respectable, solid experience. The White Russian, service, and vibe all speak to a neighborhood joint that is perfect for getting together with a group, or enjoying a cold one outdoors. Went here early on a Friday while visiting family. Mostly outdoor seating it was the middle of summer so it was a hot day. We got a table with an umbrella. All the ordering is through the QR code on the table which makes it easy for large groups and the staff brings things out as they are ready. Staffers are super friendly... we left before it got really really busy but there was a wait for tables by the time we were done. Solid pizza and apps! We just did a shotgun approach and shared everything. Everything was delicious... also over-served myself with alcohol so I had a great time lol. First time in. When the weather is nice, the space is welcoming. What is not obvious? The space is seat yourself and the menu and ordering is all QR code driven from where you decide to park it. Plenty of room to choose from, at the bar, picnic tables, courtyard blend, you name it. Big kids, little kids, furry kids, they are all welcome. The staff tend to be unmarked, or non-branded, i.e. street clothes; but if you pay attention, you will note who is working the floor. They are not giving the place away, but the menu does include different specials etc that you can opt for. If you are looking for a casual space to hang and catch up with your peeps, this is it. In terms of service, there is some DIY, i.e. water, cheese shakers, hot pepper shakers, napkins, utensils, to go boxes, trash, and dirty dishes; but there are also folks coming around to gather that stuff as well, so you do you. Visited on a busy Saturday evening in June. We sat at the first available table space, which had plenty of food debris from the guests who dined there before us. Employees were present, running around, and clearly busy. We had been perusing the online menu for several minutes before I asked a passing employee to please wipe down the table. He kindly nodded and said yes, but he never returned during our entire experience there (but I noticed him, busy running around). Eventually (about 20-30 minutes later), I found the sani bucket at the bussing station, and wiped our table down myself. None of the running employees seemed to notice or care, which I blame on management (NOT the employees) for not supporting the running employees. My partner and I ordered separately, and in courses (apps, to drinks, to entrees). With every single visit to the table from different employees, I tried to get attention from the employee delivering or bussing something, to: A) please wipe down the table from the previous guests, and B) I ordered the Saturday special colada + cheese slice, but the cheese slice I ordered didn't arrive with the colada. Out of SEVERAL employees who contacted our table spot, only ONE (whom I stood and tapped on the shoulder for attention) actually took a moment to listen to me, promised my cheese slice, and brought it, at which time, my partner was done with his entree, and ready to leave. My partner and I each said, "Excuse me," or "Hey," with every employee's visit, and no one heard/listened to us (and we really were only asking for basic table maintenance/ food delivery) I understand this serving model, but only one of about 5 employees who came in contact with us actually listened to us or responded adequately. And NO ONE checked in at ANY point to ask if it was going smoothly (which it was not). Nobody checked in with us to make sure we had the basics we were paying for, and hospitality failed when we had to get up to pursue what we had ordered/ come for. It was a busy time, but the employees weren't able to really check in to make sure operations were running smoothly, which is why I think there is a management problem here. read more

We came pretty late for dinner close to 10, and it was still busy. The outdoor seating was pretty packed but covered seating area had large tables open. This place is great for large groups. They make it easy to place order using a QR code, and then, someone delivers the food to the table. That night's special was order a Miami vice and get 99 cent cheese pizza. Since we were on the hunt for frozen drink, it was the perfect special for us. I ordered slices of the Borgata and IYKYK. The Calabrian chili honey on the Borgata gives the perfect sweetness and the spicy kick that I like in my food. Definitely my favorite and will order again in the future. IYKYK was good too, but I still don't know what I'm supposed to know.. I think the topping was burrata. Both pizzas were delicious and worth a try. If this is your first time at Pizza Lobo, I recommend getting slices. The pizzas are already pricey. See what you like first and commit the next time you stop by. read more

I've been meaning to come here for quite a while as I don't live too far from here and see that it's always packed (especially in the summer with their large property and outdoor space). A friend and I decided to come in here on a whim tk grab a bite as we were shopping, and I feel like the overall consensus is that it's a solid 3.5/5. Our server/bartender wasn't overly friendly or talkative but got what we needed and since there was nowhere else to sit other than the bar, then it was a good choice. I ordered the buffalo cauliflower and I thought it wasn't great at all. The Buffalo sauce here looks almost radioactive and I'm not sure where it comes from, but it wasn't appealing to look at. Besides that, the cauliflower itself was not the best texture. I think it might've been undercooked? Overall, not at a fan of that choice - would never get it again. I WILL say however I got a small portion size of the spicy salad that they offer that has bacon (?) inside of it and it was really good. It does have a lot of dressing though so I don't think it's the healthiest salad out there, but it was very tasty. My friend got a slice of one of their pizzas and I also took a bite and found it to be too sweet. It had honey in it and based off of the description, she didn't think it would be that overwhelmingly powerful, but it was. Overall, meh. So this Saturday I tried to go with friends to LOBO a new restaurant in my neighborhood . My wife asked someone inside about a table for four guests the young man said, this is a first come first serve and there are no waitress you need to scan your orders and someone will bring it out. I found a couch indoors and a small table and we scanned as told, we ordered these garlic knots to eat as we waited on our friends. The Garlic Knots by the way were delicious and a couple of drinks which someone brought out to our table. You have to get your own table utensils, napkins and plates and water if you like some. I found everything on how they operate so odd but, I guess its how things are done now in some restaurants. I personally felt a little weird not having a waitress taking our orders and tending to us, I'm old fashioned I guess. So when our friends finally arrived to the restaurant, we ordered more items after explaining on how things works there. We ordered three slices of sausage pizza and they were big slices NY style the sausage looked like pepperoni and a Barracuda Pizza and we also, ordered Buffalo Cauliflower it was so hot not even my Mexican friends could eat them. We had side salads as well. We loved their chicken wings very tasty . The frozen margaritas drinks were just frozen ice no alcohol in them at all. Overall it's not bad food and prices are surprisingly cheap, you open a tab with a cc and pay with cash at time of checkout no problem. It's another case where why haven't we been here sooner. However, we finally stopped for lunch last Sunday and we still can't stop telling people about Pizza Lobo. We wanted to order all of the slices to try them all but we did the sausage, pepperoni, the Burrata and some breakfast special slice. All were amazing in their own fashion. I do agree with some of the reviews about the lack of sauce on these slices. It would be nice to go a tad heavier on the sauce however maybe they purposely do that by offering other side sauces. We did love the crush as it was a nice combo of crisp and doughy. Oh and that Spicy Chopped Salad! it was sooo good with that jalapeños in it! The service was great and theres a part of your experience where you get your own flatware, water and busing after you're done that we were fine with. We did love the outdoor patio with several firepits and blankets offered! We'd come back for that! One other note is there are really no options for kids other than water. No milk, no kinds of juices so bring your own bevs for them if you don't want soda or water. Paid parking is across the street so no problem there. We sat at a table with an open spot because that's how the whole restaurant works, but after we ordered, a gorgeous Karen leans over to tell us the entire two tables are reserved. No signage or other seats available in the entire giant establishment. A "manager" approached us to tell me and my husband we had to go anywhere else and they would still bring our food, but there were no other places to sit in the tiny inside area because of the rain. The people who reserved the table were rude and so were the staff. We've come here during the day and avoided reserved tables because they were clearly marked. But this time wasn't the case. I love that you can conveniently order from the QR codes on each table and that everyone can have their own tab. It makes going with a group so much easier! Interesting pizza joint. My first impression going inside, and don't ask why, was that I was in an Moose or Elk Lodge clubhouse. When you walk up on the space, there is a huge outdoor area as this use to be a business with a parking lot on Clark. There are plenty of tables and space to play outdoor games and to let your kids and dogs run around. For those of us that don't like being outside with the kids and dogs, there is the Moose Lodge clubhouse on the inside. It is a mixed bag of service and self service as you have to order from a Q code and then your items are brought over. They do have bubbles, but at $12 a glass. I did ask if I could do a bottle instead and the bartender accommodated me. The pizzas and wings are crazy good! You have the option of getting either a whole pizza or a selection of pizzas by the slice, which is what I opted for. I got the Spinach Lasagna (ricotta, spinach, shredded mozzarella, red sauce, parmesan) and Sausage. Both were excellent, especially the Spinach Lasagna and at $5 a slice, I like the idea of being able to get a variety of flavors without buying multiple pizzas to take home later. The wings were very good, but spicy as heck for me. Admittedly I am a light weight when it comes to hot stuff. The Queen and The Doctor thought they were fine. I can see this being a great place for people with kids to hang out when the weather is warmer to have a drink and eats and not have to worry about a babysitter. There are three areas - the central bar area with stools and a few small tables, a large space with long tables (and a couch?), and the outdoor patio with bocce and fire pits. We enjoyed our small table (666!) by the bizarre deer-gator head. Once we figured out what to order, our drinks and then our pizza slices came out easy-peasy. Our friendly server pointed out the self-serve areas with water, utensils, and even take out boxes. There is the Miami Vice, a boozy pina colada and strawberry margarita swirl. They have a special with a 99-cent cheese slice when you order the Miami Vice, and the cheese pizza is basic but a reminder of the iconic New York cheese slice. Went to pizza lobo last night and had the best time!! The restaurant is casual with seat-yourself picnic tables lined up in the dining room. On the tables are QR codes where you order food on the website, and it's brought to your table in a timely fashion. I've noticed many of the low reviews on this site are because of this, so maybe dine elsewhere if you're not okay with this set up! For our group, it worked great as we could just order drinks and apps when we were ready!! The servers who brought out the food were all so friendly and kind! The food itself was all delicious! We tried several of the pizzas, the fried mozzarella, the cauliflower apps, and two of the salads. I loved all of it so much that I forgot to take pictures! We'll be back! read more

Good enough pizza. Enjoyed the crust the most (crispy yet also pillowy). Personally, I prefer a more robust flavor in my sauce, and more of it, because the pizza was lite on the sauce and kinda dry (left me wanting a side of sauce). Service is really easy because you can order thru the QR code. I appreciate the option to order by the slice or per pie. This makes it really easy and flexible for groups to plan/pay. read more
