We contacted Dean for our wedding celebration party in the garden, and through a series of interactions, we quickly arrived at a very "workable" and excellent menu for our guests. The communication leading up to the event was outstanding -- always timely and helpful -- easing much of the preparation anxiety. Dean consistently displayed a calm, kind, and respectful demeanor, fully aware of the stress that often precedes these kinds of events. On the day of the celebration, his crew arrived with Truck #1, which we found both beautiful and rich in character. A team of four began cooking incredible pizzas and mouthwatering appetizers. Throughout the celebration, everything was served to our waitstaff in a consistent, well-paced, and -- most importantly -- absolutely delicious fashion. Our guests were amazed by the quality of both the pizzas and the appetizers. And last but not least, the Italian mini cannoli were exceptional -- not overly sweet, just perfect. I would not hesitate to recommend Dean Medico to any of my friends. When my friend suggested we get pizza off a truck for lunch a few years ago, I thought that sounds disguising, but didn't want to be negative, so agreed. The pizza was amazing. This is not typical NY style pizza, and is really a different class of food; not to say it is better or worse, just different. The sauce is excellent, goes well with the cheese and crust. I've had their frozen pizzas too, it's surprising they freeze well, although you have to crank your oven up as hot as possible to minimize the sogginess of the crust. Of my friends that I've pulled along they tend to either love it or feel mediocre about it. The latter group have bad taste. read more

The pizza truck was a HUGE SUCCESS! I overheard the guests telling each other with no small degree of excitement that they had seen a pizza truck coming up the road. The staff were fantastic and a pleasure to have on site. The pizzas were extraordinary, the salad delicious, and who can resist cannoli? (I cannot get over the flavor of that tomato sauce!) However, they later added a 17% tip which I did not authorize. The amount is small, but the dishonesty is truly irritating. We'll certainly never deal with them again. If you do, make sure to get a written receipt, which they do not seem to offer by default. EDIT: After my posting here, the company to their credit has issued a refund. More importantly, however, they've changed their policies to avoid this kind of thing happening in the future. That is appreciated and will definitely earn them another shot. Thank you!
