Small, whole wheat, light cheese, pesto sauce, zucchini, roasted garlic, and finely chopped mushrooms (under cheese as requested) - Delish!
    Laura G.

Review based on take-out of pizzas: Lots of options. Regular, thick, or thin crust. White, whole wheat, or gluten-free multigrain dough. Tomato sauce, herbed olive oil, pesto, or bbq sauce. And a plethora of meat, veggie, and cheese toppings. They also have a vast selection of signature pizzas, all of which sound mouth-watering. We ordered pick-up and had 3 coupons for a free small pizza with up to 3 toppings. We were able to use all the coupons on one order which was nice. We had specific requests like "light cheese" and "chopped mushrooms under the cheese," which were executed perfectly. Being from Buffalo, NY, we loved their thicker crust - crisp on the bottom and chewy in the middle. Two thumbs up for the whole wheat dough! There was a wide range of toppings, which made it fun to design our own pizzas. Some standouts were the porchetta, sundried tomatoes, roasted garlic, and grilled zucchini. The shredded pork had a great salty flavor and would have been great even on it's own. I loved that the garlic was roasted as whole cloves, diced, then and generously dispersed all over the pizza. And the zucchini was crinkle-cut into thicker slices and complimented the pesto sauce very well. Next time I'm traveling with family and there is a Pizza Nova in town, I'll be sure to stop. There is something for everyone here and the service was fast & friendly.

This is the worst Pizza Nova experience I've ever had. I won't be ordering from this location ever again. I ordered three pizzas and all of them were disappointing. Our pizzas were not cooked properly. It seems like they rushed our order and didn't even cook it in the oven long enough. The ingredients on top of the pizza were raw (green peppers, onions). I do not recommend getting pizza here. The King West location is much, much better.

it's an amazing pizza chain here in toronto. I ordered the one at college street. It came hot and ready. The jumbo size is huge! Would love to order again

This pizzeria reminded me a lot of the ones I saw in New York. Big juicy slices of pizza it's waiting to be devoured. Unfortunately I cannot have pizza anymore. I know boo hoo, but my friends can, I had something sweet and a drink. Ate it faster than I could remember to take a picture haha. The boys had a veggie pizza that was packed with flavor and cheese. They'd recommend getting it if there are any veggie-curious folks. There was one among the gentlemen who had a meat lovers. Sadly they weren't impressed by it. They said it was slightly burned and tasted over cooked. Yet he still ate the whole thing, so I'm not even sure what to make of that. Over all, this is a really good pizza parlor to try out if you ever visit Canada. Don't forget extra Parmesan.

I asked for Pepperoni, Sausage, & Mushroom. The put on onion then threw on the mushroom after they realized they made it wrong.

I'm visiting for Caribana, I understand it's a tourist weekend, but the attention to detail shouldn't have been overlooked. First, out of ranch & that's fine, but no substitute was even offered. Then, after I've waited nearly half an hour for my pizza, they realize they cooked it with the wrong topping. They just throw the mushrooms on top and give it back to us. If I wasn't starving, I would have made them make it again. The guys were not giving good customer service and I'll never use this location ever again.

A late night pit stop - the smell of freshly made pizza drew me in to this spot. It was super cool to see a wall of tomato sauce can- cool piece of art. The pizzeria was quite casual. I liked there was a small area to wash your hands next to the counter-maybe be for employees (don't remember!) I ordered a medium cheese pizza for 10$ to go. I chose to have fresh pizza, the ones on display looked old from the day. There was complimentary chili oil- that I enjoyed. The pizza wasn't too greasy and had a good throughly baked crust. It was soft and chewy. I didn't feel heavy after having it either. Service was kind off- when a man a behind us paid for his order first. I don't expect anything less from a fast food pizza joint. I would choose pizza Nova over double pizza or Dominoes any day.

The pizza was pretty decent after a few adult beverages, although a tad greasy. Would devour again.

I thought it was overhyped, but my friend and I decided to check it out and we were quite satisfied with what we got. One thing to note for Cacio e Pepe is that it was a heavier slice. I loved the cheese but I think it's one of those pizza where I can't have a lot, or I have to really be in the mood for. Tip: During busy hours/seasons, order a whole pizza ahead of time to skip the line unless you want to try different slices at once.

I mean I'm sure we've all seen those line ups that wrapped around the block on social media. Apparently BTS recently came here for the pizzas when they were on tour. Anyways, I would never wait hours in line for pizza lol. we were just around the area and luckily the line was unusually short so I immediately found nearby parking (which was quite difficult by the way, I'm pretty sure I got the last spot) and jumped in line. We got the vodka, cacio E pepe, and their capicola & pineapple slices. All three slices had such an amazing crust. It was thin and crispy with the perfect amount of char and a nice chew to it. The Vodka sauce was so rich, creamy and velvety. It was my favorite slice and I can see why it is their most popular as well. The cacio e pepe had a sharp, savory, and creamy cheese flavor. It was great as well. The one we didn't like as much was their Pineapple. I mean the crust was still great but there was like no pineapples lol. Is it the best pizza in Toronto ? Honestly I don't know but it definitely isn't worth the line up to me. It is great pizza though but I'm not sure if I would ever come back cause of long lines and I don't live around the area. But if I ever do, I would love to try their Burrata Marinara and Mushroom Bianco. I also tried their chips that they collaborated with Miss Vickie's and the chips DO NOT do their Vodka slices justice. the chips were very mediocre.

It has a very homey, old-school Italian American restaurant ambience - the opposite of the stylish, hipster or touristy restaurant vibe. Apparently this restaurants gets a lot of regulars, and I could see why. As soon as you walk in, you feel like you're transported back to the 1960s with the red-and-white checkered tablecloths, red chairs, old-style wax candles, brick walls, and a large black-and-white photo of an Italian family on the wall (perhaps the founder or owner's?). I could see this place being a movie set for films that need an old, classic Italian American restaurant as a setting. In addition to the décor, I love the 1960s music being played in the background. Size-wise, the inside of the restaurant isn't that big so it feels very cozy. It can get very busy and crowded after 5 pm, as most people seem to come here for dinner. We came during lunch hour and we were the only patrons there. The southern Italian touches are very apparent in most of their dishes - with heavy reliance on olive oil, tomato-based sauces (especially in the fish and seafood dishes), fresh seafood, herbs, peppers, and vegetables such as eggplant. This is in contrast to northern Italian cuisine that is characterized by rich, creamy dishes using butter, lard, and cheeses, and puts more emphasis on rice, polenta, and meat-heavy dishes (where as seafood is more prevalent in the south). Dishes that we tried: 1) Baccala (Pan-Seared Black Cod) - This was the BEST and my favourite dish here. The black cod had a crispy exterior and flaky interior, and came with roasted mini potatoes and mixed vegetables (zucchini, red bell pepper, Brussels sprouts, eggplant) roasted with garlic -- such a well-rounded and wholesome dish. The roasted mini potatoes were so flavourful, and the vegetables had a nice char. I asked for the puttanesca sauce on the side, as the fish was already flavourful on its own without the sauce. But the sauce was better than I expected - it contained actual whole chunks of cherry tomatoes and olives. 2) Steamed Mixed Fish & Seafood in Tomato Sauce - This dish wasn't on the website menu, but it was on the printed menu in the restaurant. It reminded me of cioppino (Italian-American mixed seafood stew with tomato sauce, herbs, and spices). It came presented as wrapped inside aluminum tin foil, which the server then opened in front of us on the table with steam coming out. The fish was salmon, and seafood consisted of mussels and shrimps. This dish was just alright. For almost $50, there wasn't much seafood. 3) Pizza Funghi - I liked the very thin and crispy crust, and the sliced roasted mushrooms as toppings, but I wasn't a fan of the "truffled honey" they added on top of the pizza. I didn't taste any truffle, and the honey made it very sweet. Not a fan of sweet pizza. 4) SIDES: Rapini, Brussels Sprouts, Mushrooms - They got bonus points for being able to customize the sides. They didn't have asparagus that day, so they substituted it for steamed Brussels sprouts with garlic instead - which was heavenly. The Brussels sprouts weren't overcooked at all, and they were generous with the garlic (anything with extra garlic gets extra thumbs up from me). The rapini came out chopped with a side of lemon wedge. Mushrooms weren't on the menu as a side, but we asked and they were able to make a simple side of just mushrooms. Overall the vegetables got 9/10. The chef was very friendly as he came out and talked to us. The server was extremely attentive. Great service overall.

They have a great stock of wines and an impressive drink list that we don't get to enjoy as we can't handle drinks these days. We do enjoy the food and the friendly service immensely tho. Lots of options for shareable apps; excellent options on pizzas and pastas; and I am always impressed with their mains (as someone that has to limit carbs, options can be limited at some Italian restos). They are also understanding of reasonable diet requests. They have gluten-free options as well. It is more of a "quiet" restaurant in terms of the clientele chatter, at least for the times I was there, so I can hear the music they play ("oldies"!!!!)
