This Pizza Oven location has been one of our favorites since I was a kid. Very rarely is our pizza or chicken not excellent. The large pizza is extra cheese with half pepperoni and half sausage. It is perfect for those who prefer one or the other. The sausage is a finely crumbled sausage which was spicier this visit. The broasted chicken is always a slam dunk and super moist. This was the first visit I got the meatball sub. The meatball sub at Pizza Oven was good, but prefer other local pizza places meatball sub. It may look picturesque, but it is really hard to hold. The sub breading itself is different with more of a flat bottom. I placed my order online through the app for easy customization and smoother transaction experience all around. read more

The food food food, this has been my go to place ever since my college days. I wish there was a pizza oven in California, when I visit canton Ohio, at least 2 days are dedicated to having meals from here. Pizza, the wings, the jojos are on point every time. The service is also amazing, the friendly staff, greeting with a smile, and small talk was cool. It is never a disappointment! We are new to the area and have been trying several local pizza places. Do yourself a favor and skip this one. We ordered pepperoni, sausage and mushrooms. They do not tell you that they put so much crumbled sausage on that it's basically eating sausage on bread. The other toppings were scare, little cheese and hardly any sauce, very dry. We assumed all the Pizza Ovens recipes were the same. Have been getting our pizza from Papa Bears at B/V for many years with no complaints - excellent pizza. Trying to avoid the B/V traffic and As we actually live a little closer to the 40th/Cleveland location thought we would give it a try. Certainly not the same pizza - crust was considerably thinner and there was so much sauce on the pizza the topping slid right off. Never again!!!! read more

I grew up on Pizza Oven and used to ask my parents to order from them when i was a kid. Now, I get maybe 2 out of 10 pizzas that taste good from this location. The dough's been under proofed, sauce was either too much or too little, very few toppings, it's always something. Never had these problems until the last few years. I own a pizza shop in a different area of Canton so I know what pizza is supposed to look and taste like and have been horribly disappointed in this location. read more

On my last trip back to Canton, where I grew up, I was home for 3 days and had Pizza Oven for dinner twice. I would have made it 3-for-3, but they were closed on Christmas. Hell, I was at Pizza Oven before I was at my parents' house. Pizza Oven is a Canton institution for a reason. There's no other pizza quite like it anywhere. A personal favorite is the pepperoni & sausage: Plenty of pepp, finely ground sausage, provolone cheese and a slightly crisp crust. The bianco is also rare treat. They'll also ship anywhere in the country. And writing this review has made me so hungry I may take advantage of that. read more

Their sausage pizza is the best I have ever had, anywhere. It is my favorite of all time. The pizza is kinda greasy but not to the point of being gross. The crust is crispy but not hard. I think they charge a delivery fee but I always pick it up at my mother's behest. If I had the option I would probably eat this once or twice a week...and most likely die young. read more

I stopped in here on my way back from the NFL Hall of Fame. The staff was very helpful and welcoming but the food was just ok. The pepperoni rolls were delicious. Unfortunately the pizza was VERY greasy and underdone and the fries did not have much potato in them. Not the worst food I have eaten but certainly not the best. read more

Just came to visit my family and when ordering pizza, my mother announced, "we're getting Pizza Oven!" To which I responded, "Gross!" Not as dramatic as when I was a young boy and I would cry when we ordered from here on Pizza Night. A lot of locals seem to love this place but I don't know why because the pizza is below average. Too crispy, flaky and burnt on the bottom, yet somehow still too doughy in the middle. The cheese is not the consistency of actual cheese and there's not enough sauce. So normally I would say great. But this time they charged me $7 more plus I gave the drive $7 and they didn't have me sign my credit card receipt driver said he lost his pen. I later found out an additional tip was added without my knowledge and he sole my cash also for a tip. I will be contacting them to handle this fraud situation. I love pizza oven, but you are better off going to the belden village location. This place will not mix wing flavors, hot and Italian mixed together is that fire! Belden village location has the great service, the people working there are much nicer, it's cleaner, and they mix wing flavors no problem. This 40th st spot I have experienced nothing but employees going out of there way to make sure you have a terrible experience. It's really unbelievable. Pizza oven is my favorite pizza by far but this spot let me down. read more

This has been my favorite since I was a child. I can remember riding my bicycle from Uniontown to Canton (38th St0 to pick my small pizza up and enjoy every bite. It cost more than most other pizza places, its rare to get a coupon, but it is worth it. read more

I ordered 2 pepperoni pizzas for pick up. They were ready when I asked, and they were fresh! Their pizzas are rectangles, and look a little on the small side, but they are filling. They don't scrimp on the sauce and cheese, which is a big win when it comes to pizza joints. I hate when you order pizza, but they send you what appears to be a large breadstick. Best pizza in the area, hands-down. Sausage is crumbled just right, and the cheese is a high-fat provolone. Add to that the best crust I've ever had - buttery, chewy, not super-thin and not so thick either - just perfect. I usually get a few half-baked pizzas when I'm passing through Canton and finish them at home in the oven on 325 for about 15min. Perfection!
