Hygiene is important, especially when preparing and serving food, and it was concerning that no one appeared to be following proper food safety practices. At that time, the rotisserie was already being cleaned, which told me they had stopped preparing fresh chicken for the day. Instead, they were serving pre-cooked chicken kept in a warmer. As expected, this made the chicken dry and hard on the outside. I ordered the 1/2 dark meat chicken with yellow rice and Tequeños. However, I was given two small leg quarters and an extra piece of white meat--which I didn't ask for--all of which were extremely dry. The portion size has noticeably decreased as well. I was also very concerned to see them using spray cleaner near the food, which poses a risk of chemical contamination. On top of that, the Tequeños were extremely dark and tasted like they had been refried, nearly burnt. Adding to the poor experience, one of the girls behind the counter was playing around and massaging her coworkers while customers were being served. That level of unprofessional behavior is not something anyone wants to see while waiting for their food.
