I've been here before and thought it was a one time thing, but it's very consistent. So unfortunate. It needs to be fixed. The pizza is fine. Nothing special, but they do have a lot of options, as well as dessert pizzas. My favorite is the Oreo one. The salad bar is super average, and the pasta is the same way. Nothing bad about it, but. I am a customer I come usually 2 times a week. If you know me you know who i am. In the last month the salad bar has not been well mantained lately. 75% of the bar is only dressings. And the rest of the salad bar is low on very few things for the salad to be an actual salad. Today i waited 10 minutes for lettuce to come out because i came and there was nothing. One of the employees told me that the manager didnt get the order right because theyre fixing the budget. What is going on? I hope its fixed real soon because too much happens here. I see people grab pizzas with their hands. Pizza on the floor. Takes too long for an employee to do something simple. As in the pasta bar theres almost no one there to serve you. I waited 15 minutes 2 weeks ago because "no one was there to serve pasta" when an employee told me that while doing absolutely nothing and just standing there looking at me constantly? Well seriously what is going on? Lots of improvements need to be worked on. Ive been coming here for more than 5+ years and i promise you its been better. But so far with so many young workers it just brings it all down. These teenagers dont gaf seriously? They think its a joke or something just because they get to mess around. Its a great place to hangout and talk with friends. Very casual! The food itself was a little lackluster. It has a decent salad bar with multiple options. The main course pizza was a little underwhelming. The flavor was about average for pizza. Unfortunately if the pizza is left out too long it can get cold and a tiny bit stale. A decent amount of options but not as many as I was expecting. They definitely use a lot of crust in their pizza(probably so they save on toppings) so a nice trick is to not forget that it's a buffet; you can just leave the crust and get more pizza. This restaurant is filthy. So many of the salad plates had bits of food still on them; the plates were cold and still wet. I had to go halfway down the stack to find a clean one. There were several pieces of silverware that had crusted food on them as well. They were also very slow replacing the garlic knots and bread - which are some of my kids favorite food - as well a a few of the pizzas. My husband (who used to be a produce manager) reported to one of the employees that the broccoli was rancid; they took it back, and a few minutes later either brought the same bunch out, or replaced it with more rancid broccoli. The floor was sticky in several places. Several of the pizzas were cold. None of the employees seemed to care one bit about any of these things. However if you happen to get up, and leave your table, to go get food at this buffet your table is at risk of being completely cleared when you get back. And I don't mean of plates and food. It's a great buffet. I thoroughly enjoyed it all 3 times i've been. It is a buffet, so you control how much you eat (they don't force you to overindulge). They do slightly struggle with the popular pizzas and keeping them available (Buffalo Chicken, Chicken Alfredo, Firefighter Rick) but it's okay because the other options are also very good. My wife love going to Pizza Pie Cafe. There are pros and cons to any place you go out to eat. I will mention a little of both in this review. One of the things I LOVE about PPC is the accommodating staff. Every time we go to PPC, I usually have a special request. Not a customer request pizza, which can be done, but usually a side of icing to go with my dessert pizza, or something similar. When requested, the staff give me more than requested and is happy to do it. One of the things that I struggle with about PPC is how popular they are. A lot of the times we have gone to PPC, they are so busy that there is a long wait. There have been times where we have waited for a table and noticed that there are half a dozen tables available, just not yet cleared from the previous customer. This was my dream restaurant when i was 16 years old, too bad I'm in my 30's now. I mean if you want quantity over quality, this is the place for you, stuff your face with the all you can eat, all the original names of pizzas, all the mystery ingredients in the pizza. Just throw any kind of ingredient in a pizza and come up with a clever name you can, and they probably have it at this establishment. My advice is to skip the mystery pizzas, and stick with the pasta, unless your in high school, then eat till you hurt, although the hurting might come 2 hours later in the bathroom. Saying that we suggested to my wife's parents that we should go to Pizza Pie Café for some real good food on 8/29/2018 at 4pm. The employees were in the back butt popping. When asked to get some more salad it took 15 minutes for someone to come out. The pizza's was cold and had very little toppings on them. The employees did not even come over to our table until we had a pile of dishes and then wanted us to place the plates in the tub for her. They only had forks out and numerous times asked for knives and spoons never done. Note they only had 4 other tables when we were there. I will say that the initial joy/rush of all the food you can eat is pretty awesome but that feeling usually goes away after the second slice. It is good that they have a salad bar and a pasta option to go to, but the mad dash to the pizza feeding pile is not a fun thing to see. Also, the seating is not very comfortable. They try to get as many people in at once, thus the buffet mentality. For the $38 bucks it costs my family of 4 I'd rather get pizza delivered to my house and have leftovers. You avoid the crowds and under cooked pizza when it's busy.
