Unfortunately my most recent takeout order has left me a bit less than impressed in regards to quality of food and following instructions. Ordered the Baked Fish Individual Meal to include tartar sauce, baked beans, and mashed potatoes. The baked fish was beyond disgusting! No tartar sauce (or any kind of sauce) was received and it was so bland tasting and unfresh it got tossed after two bites. Baked beans had good flavor along with the mashed potatoes and brown gravy. Two cookies and a yeast roll were probably the best highlights of the meal. No butter given with the roll either this time, but it really wasn't necessary because I don't think I'll be back after this. read more

Hard to beat the price and the quality the buffet has all my comfort foods from back east that I don't see out west. Cost me &10.95 senior price for dinner which included all you can eat steak and different meats. All the food was really good and the buffet was always filled. Ordered takeout of the 12 oz sirloin steak individual meal. It came with two sides of your choosing (I went with mashed potatoes w/ brown gravy and potato salad). One yeast roll and two cookies were also included. The steak was requested as well done and still had way too much pink meat inside. It definitely was an old cow! Not fresh tasting and very tough to chew and cut with a knife. Definitely would not order again or recommend. The mashed potatoes and gravy were excellent and I definitely could have used a larger side than what was included. Potato salad had far too much mayo used and would have been a lot better with less. Yeast roll and cookies were the highlights and very fresh tasting. All in all it was an okay meal but definitely not something to write home to about. read more

I was here on on my Birthday, Oct 28 just after I got my new car. This is the BEST Golden Corral I have ever been to in several states! It had a much better and larger selection than the others and everything was so delicious and tasty. Unlike the other ones, it had a large selection beverage barwith added beverages you normally do not see at the other franchises. Instead of getting your own flatware, the servers bring it to your table.Wow, that's Class A Service! Anolther reason I left a nice tip! The restaurant was clean and had no foul odors to ruin my appetite. While I saw others leave after 30 minutes, I enjoyed for food for about 2 hours because I like to savor the flavors, not just hog it down and leave like the majority of diners. I haven't eaten Golden Corral in years! Probably over 10-15 years! I'm boondocking at the Cracker Barrel and decided to order a dozen rolls to go along with a slice of carrot cake. I arrived a few mins after my expected ready pick up time and had to wait around but I figured maybe they are making them fresh but absolutely not. I get to the car and there's no butter and the rolls are room temp. Once I get to my trailer and opened it up this is the inside of the rolls && what happened to the original honey butter? I went back inside and asked for the honey butter but when I opened and used it. It's completely different! It's almost translucent now instead of creamy butter. read more

My husband was excited about bringing me to Golden Corral because "you get to try all these different foods". No thanks! Service was great! Everyone was very nice and attentive (wait staff and register). Bland Mac and Cheese. Ribs were tough and with canned sauce. Melted cheese was flavorless. Sweet bread was ok. Coconut merengue was still frozen. Ice cream was good. The cheddar biscuit was good and the imitation crab meat salad was good. Meat and pork were just ok. Breaded shrimp were good. This location has good food, which is why I am giving 3 stars. Their bathrooms however, are disgusting. There were 2 toilets that had filthy messes all over them, and I don't want to be too graphic, but the messes were red and brown and all over the toilet seats. I told one of the employees about it and she just said "Ohh ok" and laughed and walked away. If I wouldn't have seen the bathrooms, I would have given 5 stars because of the good, hot, fresh food and the super nice waiter we had. read more

Golden Corral has never been amazing but it's gone downhill significantly lately I feel. We went here tonight for dinner. The kids weren't picky and ate. But all of us adults went without food. The woman getting drinks was rude. All the food was dried out and old. I know you can't expect much from a buffet but when someone looses their appetite from just the look of your food...there's something wrong. We did bring it to our waitresses attention (she was very sweet about it) and she told us that management apologizes. I wish management would have made an appearance at our table to maybe apologize themselves. Regardless, I hope that management does something about the situation. read more

Wish I could give less than 1 star.. Absolutely worst buffet ever.. And I dont give high expectations for this place to start! It was 6pm and 4 people in the joint, should of been a sign to run, and they had no ranch!! WTF are they not human.. I was scrapping the bottom they must only make it once a month and unfortunately for me they ran out before April 1st. Non of the food was fresh! It looked liked it was stored in a bag and reheated in a dirty microwave, my pregnant daughter was breaking the porcelain all night. So $55 is not a good deal for this place, if your that desperate for food that you think of this place I suggest going two doors down and eat out of the garbage at Cracker Barrel it will by far taste 100 times better.. read more

I have not eaten in a Golden Corral for years. My experience tonight was amazingly delicious!!! Typically the food at buffets is so-so at best. Tonight however I was delighted with the items I tried. The roast beef, chicken, ribs, fish, and pulled pork were all fabulous......and yes I ate some of all these. I was also impressed with the friendly and courteous staff. Overall the experience was much more than I anticipated. Great job GC!!! read more

Wanted to bring grandma here to change up her normal Sizzler schedule, and came to Yelp to look at reviews & pics (because I'm a Yelp addict like that) only to find very few reviews and only 3 photos. So I got my photog on and went on a mission. I hadn't been to a Golden Corral since childhood and it's changed a lot since then, so I wasn't sure what to expect. It's all buffet now. A BIG buffet! This restaurant is HUGE. Three sections, one for dessert, one for cold stuffs, and one for the hot stuff. From other reviews I read here it sounded like you could get steak. But heads up, that's ONLY if you go after 4pm. We went at 3. The meats they do have earlier though are really good. A lot of attention paid to how they're cooked. The Burbon chicken is DELICIOUS. It was my favorite thing. They had meatloaf, pot roast, some beautiful rotisserie chicken, liver and onions (of all things!) fish, and plenty more. The quality was a little hit or miss...the soups had been sitting long enough to get a film on top, but they still looked good. They offered cauliflower & broccoli with a cheese sauce, but the sauce was completely filmed over and really goopy and gross when I stirred it. The brown gravy for the mashed potatoes had no flavor. The rest of the veggie offerings were kind of boring. They had pizza that looked delicious though, and a small Mexican section that had some YUMMY beans. The salad bar section isn't huge, but it was well stocked and had many options. I only had some jello for dessert, but that station was a fantasy for people who like sweets. Grandma had pumpkin pie and said she was really surprised by how good it was. My jello was sugar-free, which is a good option, but I can't stand the aftertaste of sugar-free stuff, so it was just a taste thing. The service was great. The food was switched out quickly when it ran out, particularly the meats. The servers were all over the restaurant constantly wiping things down, refilling drinks, etc, and they all had bright, friendly personalities and even the people behind the stations looked happy to be there. And for a buffet with kids everywhere, the stations were damn near immaculate. And all of that food for like $8.50! Damn good option in this area if you aren't afraid of buffets! read more

TERRIBLE! HORRIBLE! Just paid $24 + $5 tip for just SHIIZA. Seafood salad very dry with no green onions and then they ran out. Said that person who makes it doesn't get there until 4pm. Look, I hate buffets. Literally hate them, won't go. There's always some gross, inconsiderate person touching things they shouldn't, coughing on food, using their hands instead of the tongs, etc. Buffets are giant Petri dishes in my opinion. But alas, my hub loves buffet food. So I've found a middle ground with doordash. We've ordered from Golden Corral a few times lately and the food always arrives hot and fresh and just really well prepared. I'm genuinely shocked by it. Last weekend we ordered ribs and the portions were so large I ended up making pulled pork sandwiches for dinner for four nights after. Should have frozen it. The mashed potatoes and gravy are yummy, and I've enjoyed the steamed cauliflower, corn, green beans, coleslaw, rolls, Mac and cheese, and meatloaf. Big surprise is their fried chicken dinner. It's delicious and less than KFC to have it delivered. And the sides are way better. read more

I don't understand why people like Golden Corral. There's not much that I even enjoy here, most all the food is subpar. It's a buffet, so you don't expect it to be incredible, but nonetheless, most foods that I typically love let me down here. But what I really hate is how busy this place gets. It's not really their fault, but every time I've been here it feels like you're waiting around to grab your food in a prison. It's so chaotic and your fellow customers can be so rude. If you are claustrophobic or hate big crowds, this is not the place for you. The redeeming qualities of this place are the foods that they do get right. My favorite things I tried last time were: Street chicken dish, rolls with their honey butter, cheesy bread, and the soft serve ice cream! They do have a soft serve machine, in fact they have two! One is chocolate and vanilla and the combo swirl of the two and the other is orange sherbet and strawberry which you can also swirl together. To me, every buffet should have a soft serve machine. If Asian Buffet across town had one, I would enjoy them much more! And Golden Corral even has several options for normal (not soft serve) ice cream. My last complaint is that I honestly don't think it's that cheap. Dinner buffet is $13.99 and I believe fountain drinks are $2.29. It's a buffet, but that seems like too much for just a Golden Corral. I'd rather take my family to a restaurant where entrees are $8-12 and we don't end up overeating and feeling bloated. read more

I mostly come here because my kids like it. I'm not entirely sure if it's because of the fact that they get all they want desserts or that they (used to) have a kids treasure box. I took my daughter out on a mother-daughter date to have some one-on-one time with her and she picked here. The food here is really cheap quality. They seem to rely heavily on oils and fats to get any sense of satiety. The best thing I had today was the Texas Toast. Their chicken quarters that are the ones without breading was decent for the meat choices. If you like hot tea I suggest trying to sweeten it with cotton candy. That was fun :) read more

The food was o-k. Not great, but okay. They didn't have any bourbon chicken (which is literally the thing I came here to eat) out, so I had to wait for them to cook more. My "waiter" (I guess that's what she is???) was really nice and good at her job, so props to her. One thing I wasn't quite okay with was the condition the Women's bathroom was in. Someone had pinched a loaf in one of the stalls and didn't flush, and I found both a bloody pad and tampon on the floor of the big stall. There were also wet paper towels all over the floor, and the trashcan was filled to the brim. I told one of the employees and she just shrugged it off. I also noticed that the hispanic cooks like to talk trash about customers in Spanish, which isn't very professional. Overall it's about what you'd expect from a buffet. I made the mistake of pointing out to the waitress that the first 10 plates I picked up had rice, mashed potatoes, some had cheese sauce, etc still all over them. Waitress got pissed and told me that I "should put the dirty dishes on top of the gloves that are sitting on the dish cabinet." I explained that I had no idea that was the POLICY, being a customer and such. I just thought maybe she'd like to let her manager know? She snapped, "he knows!" Came in on Sunday 2-24-19 at 1:00. The line was Soo slow and that was just the beginning of all the stress and disfunction we was about to face. We go to sit down and there are very few tables that are clean to sit down. Lots of tables just loaded with dirty plates and cups and napkins. We go to get a plate and another issue they have no spoons. Had to go over to the soup to get a spoon. So I'm at the soup and there is no bowls. Have to go over to the desserts to get a bowl. They was not keeping up with demand and what food was available had issues. the chicken was dry. The ribs beyond dry and icky. The roast beef was also dry, which is just crazy I've never seen that before. Got a baked potato and came back to the table with it and 3 others decided they wanted a baked potato too. Got over there and they was all gone and said it would be 25 minutes before they had more. Decided on the tacos and again they did t have the guacamole out. I asked if I could get some. She replies ya it's not out yet come back later. Ok lazy women I will just stand around wait on food and utensils. Our waitress was nice but just not keeping up with the tables. She never took a plate off our table. We just started to pile it up on the many disgusting tables piled with slop on them. At some point she just started to take plated off other peoples tables and pile them on the dirty tables instead of taking them back to the washer. This is why there is no utinsils available. She then gets a tub and starts to throw the plates in it and it is leaking all over the table the chair and all over the floor. I walked around and all the other waiters had clean tables and didn't have the mess going on that she did. She came and filled our drinks up as we was putting on our coats. Little late. I've never had a problem with this location before. Not sure what the issue was but it was a disaster. We was there to Celebrate a birthday and it was a serious let down. I did not leave a tip for the waitress, she was not doing her job and I didn't feel like I should reward that kind of service. It may be a buffet, but that doesn't make it excempt from reviews. I've been to this location twice for work meetings. Definitely not my favorite place to eat. I think this restaurant is good if you have children who are picky eaters or if you are too old to properly taste the food. The place reminds me of a school cafeteria, and the food isn't much better. My favorite item they have would be their rolls; other than that I'm not a fan. The vegetables were overcooked, the chicken was dry, the steaks were..... not good. I did like the soft-serve ice-cream though, and for that they get two stars. read more

So, I'm on a driving trip through Utah, Was going to eat at the Cracker Barrel. No cars in the lot, so we kept going. I really liked this Golden Corral. If I was staying in the area, I sure would have eaten their more than the once. Of course, I like that home cooked feel. There was plenty of food to choose from. The older crowd know how to find a bargain. Sure beats being served a $25 meal that you hate. At least here if you don't like something, go try another dish. Eat as little or as much as you like.
