    Uncooked cheese pizza

I ordered pizza from this place for the first time, on 04-27-2024. Delivery said 45 minutes but it took over an hour! Then to top it all off they gave me my cheese pizza uncooked!! I couldn't call to let them know since it arrived after 9pm and they were already closed!

This pizza joint is fine if you just need to eat some pizza, but it's not gonna be my go-to place. We found parking on the street, pretty close. When we entered I noticed masks were offered at the door, which I thought was pretty cool (COVID). You order at the register and find a seat or take out (delivery is available). The seating is very limited and this could be categorized as a "hole in the wall" kinda place. We didn't wait long for our order and the pizza looked good. The crust was crispy and almost crunchy. The pizza was decent, but I felt it lacked a unique quality. I wouldn't shy away from another though!

Stopped in the little town of Ault for dinner on my way back from driving the Pawnee Pioneer Trail. It literally is a little town, pretty much contained in three or four blocks - their slogan is actually "Ault: A Unique Little Town." But I digress. Pizza Plus was one of the few restaurants open at 6PM on a Sunday evening. The restaurant itself isn't much to look at, giving the feeling of emptiness somehow inside. I ordered a small pepperoni pizza and settled in to wait for it, when I noticed the back of the restaurant. Wandering back, I discovered a true treasure: a mini arcade, replete with classics like Pac Man and Galaga! I spent my ten minutes or so waiting for my pizza kicking ass at Street Fighter II. Curse you Zangief and your ridiculously-long leg-sweep reach! The pizza itself was not particularly special, but the crust was twisted and had a good texture, while the cheese and pepperoni were more than satisfying. I can also report that it held up well to a cold breakfast the day after. And it is tons better than Pizza Hut or Dominos. 3 to 3.5 stars for the pizza, and the arcade in the back puts them in solid 4-star position.

It's an easy meal to have when yo I don't want to cook. Always tastes good. Time to pick up is great.

I live in a small town about 35 miles away so I won't be stopping by that often, but I'll surely swing in sometimes on my way back from Fort Collins.

I've had a lot of pizza over the years and I can honestly say this is the best pizza I have had in a long time. The flavors worked so perfectly together. The spicy, the savory, the cheesy! As someone who had never been to Estes Park before, I'm so sad that I will probably not get to have their pizza again. But, gosh, I'll tell everyone about it! The pizzas are also delivered by robot which is super cool. The cheesecake was top tier too.

This is a big salad be warned. We ordered a 14 inch pizza the first visit and a 12 the second, these pies are well dressed with the toppings of your choosing and baked perfectly. The manager Kelsey was very nice, cheerful, attentive to her customers. Our server was also wonderful. The atmosphere is typical of a pizza restaurant but, I was there to eat and not critique their ambience. If you're in Grand Lake and hungry stop on in and enjoy.

As I took our pizzas to go, I have no opinion about the service itself. Ordering at the front desk was easy enough. No issues there! From looking at the place, it is a bit small. Nothing too fancy. Honestly, seems a bit dingy. I was happy with our decision to take it to go so we could enjoy being outside on a great Grand Lake day. We got a cheese pizza (14", $21) and the pesto chicken specialty pizza (16", $36.70). Both were very tasty and not overly greasy. The dough is very soft with the appropriate amount of chew--very dangerous as it was so yummy! They didn't skimp on the toppings, too. So, overall, it is a very good pizza. The value proposition here, though, is tough. There's a sliding scale of pizza value, and I think this ends a bit on the expensive side, even when making considerations for location. At the same time, I do think this is the best pizza you can get in the area. You just don't have many, quality options in this area, so the lack of competition might be keeping the prices higher here (not to mention it being a mountain town). I would come back here after trying other food in town.

Bottom line - great pizza, I would pay $20+ for a pizza from them as a food truck, but over $5000 for what we got was excessive.

When we visited on Sunday after hiking at RMNP for the morning, there wasn't much of a crowd here. We ordered and the the food only took about 8 minutes to arrive. Meeker Margherita ($21) - Perfectly cooked crust in this pizza. The cornicione in particular is expertly risen and cooked, giving plenty of charred bubbles and the perfect chewiness. The undercarriage, while floppy, isn't soggy at all. It hold up very well to the ingredients on top. The crust is first slathered sparingly with tomato sauce. The sauce is reduced quite a bit and tastes almost like a concentrated tomato paste. They don't use a lot so it doesn't soak into the crust at all. On top, there's a couple of pieces of basil giving a very noticeably fresh aroma. There's plenty of melted mozzarella cheese, which seem to be of the pearl variety, mild tasting and stretchy. They apparently also drizzle some EVOO, although there's no particular peppery or fruity notes, or heck any real olive oil flavor at all. With how well all the other ingredients worked together, the olive oil is very disappointing. Still, it's a very well constructed pizza. (5/5) Panorama Peak ($23) - Again, this pizza has the perfect crust. Instead of tomato sauce, it's slathered with ricotta cheese, making the pizza very rich and creamy. More melted mozzarella on top of that for even more fatty richness, then pieces of proscuitto, chewy and salty. The meat isn't sliced that well so it's messy to eat. They then essentially cover the pizza with an arugula, tomato, and shaved parmesan salad. The arugula is super peppery and bitter, the tomatoes are fresh and sweet, and the parmesan adds more saltiness. The main sources of salt are the parmesan and the proscuitto. Neither are added in large enough quantities to make the pie overly salty. Mixed in the with the arugula are a couple of stems of cilantro for some reason. Nothing on the menu actually uses cilantro so I'm a bit confused where it comes from. It's essentially a salad on pizza dough so everything falls off the crust very easily making it messy to eat. (4/5) I'm very impressed with the food served at Mangia Mangia. I didn't expect to find such great pizza in a small touristy mountain town. I'll be back next time I'm in the area!
