This is a tricky one to rate. Yes, the pizza was very good, but the price for pizza felt a little high, even considering the location. As I took our pizzas to go, I have no opinion about the service itself. Ordering at the front desk was easy enough. No issues there! From looking at the place, it is a bit small. Nothing too fancy. Honestly, seems a bit dingy. I was happy with our decision to take it to go so we could enjoy being outside on a great Grand Lake day. We got a cheese pizza (14", $21) and the pesto chicken specialty pizza (16", $36.70). Both were very tasty and not overly greasy. The dough is very soft with the appropriate amount of chew--very dangerous as it was so yummy! They didn't skimp on the toppings, too. So, overall, it is a very good pizza. The value proposition here, though, is tough. There's a sliding scale of pizza value, and I think this ends a bit on the expensive side, even when making considerations for location. At the same time, I do think this is the best pizza you can get in the area. You just don't have many, quality options in this area, so the lack of competition might be keeping the prices higher here (not to mention it being a mountain town). Greetings While visiting beautiful Grand Lake we ate at Grand Pizza twice because it was so good. We ordered the large Antipasto salad and it was so fresh and crunchy. This is a big salad be warned. We ordered a 14 inch pizza the first visit and a 12 the second, these pies are well dressed with the toppings of your choosing and baked perfectly. The manager Kelsey was very nice,cheerful, attentive to her customers. Our server was also wonderful. We were here at the very start of the season, when there was still some ice on the lake. The weather was beautiful and we decided we wanted some pizza. We got here about a half hour before they closed and were welcomed. There were not very many people here. Our server was great although between everything she was doing and the takeout she was rather busy. Which is understandable when you're alone. The pizza was tasty, but a bit undercooked. It's Friday, March 20 but 67° outside due to La Niña!! Spring Equinox!! We were hungry for pizza and came 35 minutes before closing because they close early at 7:00 PM!! It wasn't overly crowded but they had several pickup orders during our visit. We got a couple beers and a Greek salad and the 16" super pizza. Palisade peach beer was great. There was only one lady working the front of house by herself and she was efficient but a little frazzled. The salad was delicious! Crisp and tasty and the dressing was great! I was surprised, though, by how dirty the place was and to see the plastic Covid wall separators still in place between booths, but it stops pesky kids from staring at you over the neighboring backside. LOL! The shakers of salt and pepper and Parmesan cheese were greasy and covered in fingerprints. The napkin holder was gross. The floors could be cleaned better too. I guess off season means relaxed standards? Our pizza wasn't cooked enough in my opinion. The cheese was not fully melted and the bottom of the pie was soft and doughy and a little soggy. We asked for extra cheese and extra sausage but Kelsey only heard xtra sauce. It wasn't bad and the ingredients were good but it could have been better. The place appears to need a facelift and deep cleaning. Lots of wear and tear is obvious. This place needs some love. read more

The food and service were so good we had to return for another meal! The manager Kelsey greeted, served and chatted with customers making people feel comfortable and ensuring the food was delicious. Both times we started with an Antipasto salad-it was fresh and a large portion. I ordered spaghetti with meatballs so yummy. My husband ordered a medium pizza (it was huge). The crust cooked perfectly not too thick or thin with a generous amount of toppings. Our server was great giving suggestions and very efficient making sure our meal was served nice and hot. What a find! Grand Pizza is conveniently located on the main drag, just a block away from the lake. The restaurant itself is pretty small but arranged nicely and smells heavenly inside. We go to the grand Lake and happened to stop by this place. We ordered two large pizzas there Alfredo cheese pizza with chicken was outstanding. They were almost about to close during the time, but it still took her order. The service was outstanding. They made sure that we had our foreign servers really well, thank you so much for having an amazing place at the grand leap. This is much needed for all the hikers and travelers this place. We wanted to get something easy after our hike and we decided on getting some pizza here for our big group. We decided and got the veggie, meat lovers, Caribbean, and cheese sticks. All of them were great and tasted amazing!! These didn't give near as bad heartburn either compared to some places that just drench the pizza with the pizza sauce. This place is cozy and mountain-y, perfect for the location. I have 3 kids and we were up in Grand Lake for vacation and my kids were lured by the "arcade" promises. Half of the machines were not working, air hockey wasn't there, but this was slightly negated by a couple games that were free to play. They offer regular pizza and gluten free pizza, both of which were tasty. But! $37 per pie was a tough pill to swallow for our hungry family of 5. Service was good. Good pizza in a fun location. Grand Lake's village is real fun to see and explore, which a decent handful of food options. No indoor seating right now (take out only). The worker I interacted with when ordering and picking up was super friendly and nice! The pizza has plenty of toppings- I particularly appreciated the heavy handed quantity of cheese! Pricing is reasonable. Flavor of crust/sauce is okay. Cheese could've been melty-er (though I'm noticing photos in other reviews do look "melty-er" so likely an anomaly. Pricing was reasonable (12" pizza with two toppings and an order of garlic cheese bread= $28) and the wait (30 min) also felt reasonable for a Friday afternoon. Heard someone say "it's pretty good...for around here" in passing and likely a good way to summarize. If you like your sauce with chunky tomatoes then you'll love this pizza. It wasn't my favorite but the husband loved it. Staff was very friendly and gave some recommendations on where to eat and what to do around Blackhawk. We did have to wait quite a while as there was a larger order ahead of us. Delicious pizza, worth the wait. We called on a Friday night and they sounded super busy and the person said it would be an hour before our pizza was ready. Just go earlier than you want and plan ahead. It's worth it! The pizzas were loaded with cheese and delicious sauce. We got two large pepperoni pizzas and one gluten free pepperoni. everyone loved their pizza. I was a bit bummed that their gluten free pizza was cauliflower crust, but it was actually incredibly delicious and cooked well. Fantastic! We were vacationing in the area and saw this little place so decided to give it a try and were very pleased! Pizza was fresh and flavorful.. we are from Dallas but have frequented pizza from Europe New York Chicago and this pizza was VERY GOOD! It is at the top of the list for a traditional pizza. Yum! Visiting from Denver for the week and waited until Thursday for them to open and check out their pizza. It was worth the wait! Great crust. Ordering on the phone was easy and pizza was ready in 10 minutes. I like the pepperoni to be crispy so the only thing I have for feedback was maybe a few more minutes in the oven (this is personal preference only). We are from out of town and have a cabin on Lake Granby. We tried this place during the Covid-19 pandemic so we didn't get to go inside. The person at the window was very nice and helpful. The Pizza! Out of the gate I feel in love. I really like the chewy bite of the crust. I saw some picture before I ordered and the crust looked huge and puffy. To my surprise it wasn't. But it was hand rolled and cooked perfectly! We got our kids some individuals and order one large Margarita. I was tasty!! We also got their garlic bread and let me tell you it was good!
