This pizza is so delicious I didn't take a picture of it before diving in for a bite. Ordered a large Meet Extreme Meat pizza via online ordering and walked down to pick it up within 15 minutes. When I arrived the place was bustling with activity. A long line but servers were moving and it was wing Wednesday for dine in people. I WISH I was dining in to try their wings. The inside had a lot of seating available and a relaxed atmosphere. This location is dog friendly for pups outside, which is good to know! Holy moly this pizza was delicious. The meatballs on top of the pizza, the cheese, the sauce and the crust were all so good! Whenever I'm in San Diego again, I will definitely be dining in to try their wings. read more

I really like this location, it's so close to the beach and they have a dog friendly patio to sit and eat at. The beers and pizza are all delicious here. The service is okay, it can get really busy here and wait times for food and beer can be very long. We usually order a large pizza, half and half of whatever looks good on the menu. Some of their beers rotate out, and I get whatever is new and fresh on tap. We will definitely stop by again next time we are in Ocean Beach. read more

Cool spot that's part of craft beer lore. It was good to visit the place from where many beers I've drank for years comes from. The bar manager was the person working the counter, he loved my enthusiasm for Pizza Port and craft beer. The place was good for the area. A laid back and what I would call a little hippie. We enjoy coming to this location, great family friendly atmosphere and great staff. There is plenty of indoor/ outdoor seating available, and a pet friendly back patio. We stopped by on the way to the beach, we ordered their large pizza, half OB and half IB. The pizza was excellent, full of toppings and flavor. We also love their extensive selection of craft beers, I enjoy their Paloma grapefruit sour, berry kettle sour and the pilsners from here. The quality and variety is superb. I don't understand the hype? I added this to our list while on vacation since we were so close. I'm assuming people come for the beer, cause the food was not good. I mobile ordered for it to be ready at 12:30. When I arrived, the pizza was ready but they never put the wing order in. Nice. So waited another 10-15 mins for the wings, and reminded them that I ordered them 3x crispy. When I got the order, they did add 6 wings for free which was nice, but they were not cooked as requested. They were very soft and chewy. My husband put them in the oven and cooked them more and they were better. I also ordered blue cheese and they gave us ranch. The pizza... what in the world? It had the taste and consistency of a theme park counter service pizza. The pizza sauce they use is canned for sure. Not a fan. As someone originally from New Jersey, I have high expectations when it comes to pizza, and I've been let down many times in California. Pizza Port in Ocean Beach, however, absolutely delivered. I ordered a veggie pizza--normally not my first choice--and was surprised by how good it was. I planned on one slice but ended up going back for three. My 12-year-old stuck with his usual pineapple and cheese, and even that was excellent. Ocean Beach has plenty of pizzerias around Bacon Street, but if you're looking for great pizza paired with a fun atmosphere, look no further than Pizza Port. The outdoor beer garden looked like a great spot to hang out, even if parking can be a little tight. All my son wanted for his birthday dinner was Pizza Port, so we found the best location to SDSU to hit up and take to him and his friends in their dorm. I have driven past this location before but have never stopped. Very nice, parking lot is smaller but there is some street parking available near by as well. I had ordered earlier in the day for pick up that evening and we got there the order was ready for pick up. Same, consistent tasty beer buddies and pizza. The fried mac and cheese was ok but nothing beats the beer buddies for us as a nice pre-pizza snack! Not only do they have a vast selection of beers, this location has fresh draft root beer as well. My kiddos (23 and 20 now) said it was really good. Also a great alternative for those who do not (or in my case, cannot) drink beer :( This location is on the corner and not as big as some of the other locations but still packs a powerful punch! This spot is so so consistently good no matter what location you go to! We came here tonight because we were near by. We had the Monterrey pizza which was delicious. It came out piping hot and fresh with artichokes and mushrooms. The medium was a perfect size for two people to share. For drinks. We tried to Bananas Foster cider which was interesting but not bad. I think this may be a seasonal cider. I would recommend the Orange Creamsicle cider instead. This location has a pretty large indoor seating areas as well as outdoor patio.
