Fantastic, affordable pizza served in a lovely, no-frills establishment a few blocks away from the Spanish Steps! I visited Pizza Re for a casual dinner after seeing it on a list of good budget-friendly eats in Rome, and they absolutely delivered on that promise. My friend and I split a mushroom pizza and salad, and both were fantastic. The salad was super fresh and simple -- everything you want in a good starter salad. The pizza was outstanding; the dough was perfectly thin and just slightly chewy, with a great crispy and charred exterior. The ends of the slices were nice and fluffy, and each piece had the perfect ratio of dough, sauce, and cheese. The sauce was super fresh and savory, with tangy, sweet, and herby undertones. I do wish that they had a few more mushrooms, as there were several slices that didn't get any, but it was an incredible meal. It's a pretty popular spot so it can get pretty crowded, but the staff does an outstanding job juggling all the tables. Service is attentive and quick, and the food comes out remarkably fast.

I still think about the pizza here! Both were so good and beautifully fired but omg the pizza with the bresaola and arugula were PHENOMENAL. The place is busy and you might have to wait in line but it's worth it! We thought about going again because the food was so good!

Probably one of the best pizza dough I've had in Rome and around the world! This was the first restaurant I visited when I arrived in Rome and I was blown aaah by how delicious the dough / pizza was! I later came back for the salad but it wasn't as good, although it certainly was healthy! The price point for this place is unbeatable, with items hovering around 10-12€ per entree. I would 100% recommend!

When you visit Rome, and decided to enjoy bricks /wood oven freshly baked pizza, and feels homey , must try "Pizza Re ", very busy place, organized, waiters working unbelievably quick to make sure everything is on track , Great ambiance Salad was as fresh as it can be The vegetables prepared very delicious Pizza was more than outstandingly delicious and lightly crispy dough with fresh mozzarella, tomatoes and basil leaves I didn't have chance to take pictures for the dessert but we tried the tiramisu which was so creamy, smooth and delicious And chocolate Tartufa was great as well Recommended

The pizza was decent enough here. Prices are very inexpensive. I enjoyed the fresh buffalo mozzarella caprese salad. The background noise was extremely loud so not a great place for a relaxing meal. It's a great place if you are a parent traveling with loud children. They will enjoy being able to vocalize. The servers did not bother to check how your meal is going but they certainly are on top of you for a tip. Service was slow to to start. After trying so many great places near by I would would try someplace different for pizza.

This place has amazing pizza and the staff is so friendly ...my daughter got the Margherita and I got the Salsiccia (pictured). The crust is very traditional and cooked so that it is crisp but still soft inside. The tiramisu was also very fresh, served in a jar. It's heavier than others on the coffee flavor - I liked it but so you know. You should definitely try this place out for great pizza, service and nice, casual atmosphere!

Grrrrrr!! Who orders a primavera pizza when you could have so many other yummy pizzas with cheese oozing and flavor bursting?!!! My mistake, I felt guilty since all we've been eating for weeks on this trip was pasta and pizza, wanted some fresh veggies (I suppose a salad would've been healthier but that's too healthy!). It was good and fresh. They have a huge list of red and white pizzas, I wanna try all of them! I love creative recipes! I didn't order the lemon chicken or stuffed anchovy appetizer but I tried them. Lemon chicken was super flavorful. Stuffed anchovies were just ok. Service was friendly. Nice, comfortable place to eat and chill. I certainly want a do over. Thnx for the recommendation, MM!

Best pizza I had in Rome, hands down! Very reasonably priced for Rome as well. They have a large outdoor seating area as well as a large one inside. Our waiter was amazing. A bug actually flew into my wine and I asked for a spoon to fish it out and he took my glass, which was pretty much empty and said "no no, we will get you a fresh one" and brought a fresh one at no charge. Excellent service and excellent food.

Now where's my pizza??? First night in Rome, and some yummy pizza is all i'm craving. I did a quick Yelp search for something walking distance from the hotel, and I came across Pizza Re. The reviews were pretty high, and a lot of people seemed to have a good opinion of the place, so I thought why not? The restaurant is close to Via Corso and just about a block away. It's in a really great location that's away from the super touristy places making not a tourist trap (there are a lot of those Italy!) The restaurant is pretty big, and we were seated in the back of the restaurant as it was quite busy. The waiter was so kind to help us with reading the menu as my Italian knowledge is absolutely 0, but I could get a gauge of what certain pizzas were from having studied both French and Spanish. We opted for 2 pizzas: a white and a red as well as a seafood pasta (pictures attached). After this trip, I realized that I enjoy white (blancha) pizzas very much! I believe the one we ordered had mozarella, rocket, and mushroom. Although it was quite simple, the flavors were quite bold and very flavorful. The seafood pasta is definitely very good too! They have fresh lobster and the noodles are cooked just right. We also ordered a bottle of wine because it was 12 Euros as opposed to 5 euros a glass (again, ordering alcohol by the bottle is always cheaper). The meal wouldn't be complete without finishing off with something sweet and so I got a tiramisu. To be honest, I wasn't blown away by it at all - it was soft and yummy but i've had better (in the US). Maybe I've been eating it wrong but I went to another place in Rome (Pompi) and that knocked my socks off - so good! read more

The food was pretty good, but the service was abysmal. It took forever for a server to come to our table, and he probably checked back with us only one other time to make sure we were okay on drinks after we had ordered (we weren't - we'd had to track down another waiter to reorder drinks). Our waiter then asked for a tip at the end of the meal. Bad attitudes all around; don't recommend it. read more

Average food and service. It felt like we were just part of a big machine rather than in a special place serving out of this world pizza. Honestly, the pizza was simply average. Crust was similar to Costco pizza, which is not bad, just surprisingly similar to Costco. I don't know how the reviews are so strong for this spot. read more

The pizza was yummy on a scale of "i'm gonna throw up" to "to dir for", just as in many other pizzerias in Rome. The prices are average. It's very close to tourist attractions but i wouldn't call it a tourist trap. The lady that led us to our table was not in a mood but the waiter was friendly. Suggested by our B&B owner. The pizzas were divine and my daughters pasta was very nice. The place was very busy since it was a Friday night during the holiday season but we were sat and fed without a substantial wait time. I'd recommend Pizzaré!! read more

Am I invisible? We walked into this place we were immediately seated smack dab in the middle of the front dining space. Others were eating and drinking and the placed seemed OK. But that's where it ended -- nobody brought menus or even acknowledged our existence. The matron of the place was busy answering phones and chatting with other guests. At one point, about 10 minutes in, she picked up some menus and I thought for sure was going to come to our table - but alas alack, the phone rang and she set them down and answered it. Two other groups entered the place and were also immediately seated, and to my surprise given menus. I motioned to the server, and then the matron, both ignored me. The server took an order from one of the newly seated tables. I again motioned, and he wouldn't even make eye contact -- At this point I totally regretted the tip I left on my previous visit. Don't go, save yourself the embarrassment of being treated like you are invisible. read more

Love me some Pizza Re'! This is the third location in Rome that we have visited. Great spot and fantastic pizza. My hubby and I enjoyed a Pizza Re' pizza and shared a salad. It's now become one of those spots we have to hit when we visit Rome. I also had some gelato and a caffè before we hit the streets of Roma again. read more

Typical Italian pizza joint. W had the Buffalo cheese pizza which was excellent and prepared so fast. It seemed it took 30 seconds. Also the Buffalo cheese salade was great. read more

I had some delicious pizza here while in Rome. It is very fresh and very home made. The restaurant is modern and has extremely nice bathrooms. The waitress was friendly and spoke both English and Italian. The only downside is I wanted to drink an Italian beer, and they only had 3 types of German beer. Overall, I had a wonderful experience here. Gratzi pizza re!!! read more

We came here because the reviews seemed positive. I don't understand why. The 4 cheese pizza I got was kind of bland, and the crust and the calzone my girlfriend ordered was actually deep-fried and it tasted disgusting. The basket of bread we ordered to start with was just that - a basket of bread. Stale bread, without butter or oil or anything to make it tasty. Halfway through our lousy pizzas they actually turned on a tv which was hanging above is. The volume was loud and the Italian game show that was playing captured the full attention of the staff, even when serving us. Totally NOT recommended. read more

Great location, amazing food, quick, attentive service. Our server Cristian was fantastic. Very kind, great personality, and made really good food recommendations. I like that they have outdoor seating. Restaurant has an amazing array of pizzas and antipasti, all well priced. Caprese was fresh and delicious. Fagottini and sausage pizza were superb. It was such a nice place to try "Roman Pizza" which is ticker than usual Italian pizza. Prices are average so not overpriced tourist trap :) We ordered Pizza with eggplant and beef salami which were both delicious. You should try the pizza with spicy olive oil! read more

The third pizza we had in Rome near the piazza de Popolo. The first one that seemed like they actually cared about food. We at the PizzaRé (restaurant titled pizza... they must be proud of it)... with buffalo mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, tomatoes, basil and olive oil. Good fresh flavorful tomatoes, good ratio of cheese to tomato. The oil provided good rich taste. Great crust. I want another one right now but it's 3am and they're closed. Will definitely go back since apparently there are tourist trap restaurants around the block that serve poor-excuse-for-a-pizza. read more

I had read to either arrive early or late due to long lines for this pizzeria. I got there around 2pm and there were a few empty tables. They have a long list of pizzas to choose from, as well as other dishes. I ordered a pizza with ham and mushrooms (9.50 euros) and a glass of red wine (3.50 euros). The wine was a much better quality than the typical house reds you get in a Roman restaurant. And it was a good pour too. The pizza was very good and as always for me, too much. The dough had a nice crust on the edges. The red sauce was light and delicious. read more

Rome is a tourist city, so you have to be very careful about where to go. We had great meals there, and more than a few really bad ones. Pizza Re was great after a morning riding bikes around Villa Borghese. Very good Napoli style pizza. Fair prices. Fast service. read more

Nice place to laze away a day whie visiting the leaning tower. The place gets lots of action but in my opiniion its to use the bathroom. A typical cafe for americans. The food was average, the service average but the prices high. Need to be careful when visiting a tourist attraction, for some reason the owners don't feel the need to have good original food. read more

This is it!! This is the pizza that I dream about. This is the best pizza I have ever had, every time I go to Italy (and that is a lot) I come here, I have to make time to come here. I always always always get the traditional Pizza Re, which is a naples style pizza with buffalo mozzarella and cherry tomatoes. its the perfect pizza. If you are in Rome you have to go here. My husband and I hate tourist traps and were on the hunt for the best naples style pizza in Rome and stumbled upon Pizza Re. It was our last night in Rome and we rushed over late night to make it there before they closed. We arrived 5 minutes after closing and the owner/workers had already started to clean up. When they heard we were from out of town they graciously opened their doors for us and had a very welcoming attitude; we didn't feel rushed at all even though they were staying after closing just for us. The eggplant on top of the pizza was divine and the crust was cooked to perfection. It was probably one of the best pizzas we had our entire Europe trip (maybe even ever). read more

We went here for dinner our first night in Rome as a summer shower began outside. The fates were kind because it was a good choice, and reasonably priced. We got the calamari and pizza. I had a glass of wine (good, not great). The calamari was pretty darn tasty, as was our prosciutto and funghi pizza. Like many places, this place has free WiFi. Our service was very good, and indeed went beyond the call of duty when my sister lost her sim card when she was transferring pictures from her camera to her phone. I won't be graphic about how she got her stuff back, but let's just say that instead of going the extra mile to help her, restaurant staff ran a marathon to find that sim card. For that, if nothing else, this place is stored in my good memories of Rome. read more

We went here upon recommendation from a friend living in Rome. She especially recommended it for pizza, so that's what we ordered. The place seems quite popular with local people. It was quite busy when we arrived around lunchtime. The waiters were friendly and they gave us menus in English and French. The pizzas we ordered were very good. Great tomato paste and the dough was really nice. I would eat here again, although I wouldn't call this place a great place for a romantic dinner. It is all about getting a quick bite of good food. read more

Great pizza! Much like Via Tribunali in Seattle or Punch in the Twin Cities. Kid friendly (they brought markers and paper to draw on for the bambinos). House wine was excellent. Our favorite (adult) pizza was the Forte. Lots of tables had icy cold beer that looked great though we stuck with the vino. Tiramisu was a hit! Wish we had tried it earlier in the trip as it would have been good to hit twice (which says a lot when in Rome). Posted aboard the FrecciaBianca headed north. Ciao! read more

A very good end to a wonderful family vacation. We sat and ordered for Saturday dinner. It is best you go in around 1830-1900 before the dinner crowd fills up. The scaloppine Di pollo al limone was deliciously seasoned. Ordered a few pizzas. Pescatora, (my favorite, seafood) Romana (pretty standard cheese pizza) Re house pizza, (delicious but wasn't quite as outstanding as pescatora) rucola (simple rocket leaves and parma ham). Overall, great value, very fresh ingredients, worth a try if you're in the area. read more

Stuff in the area can be dangerously touristy, but Pizza Re has it all: 1. Italian local folk eating there? Yes 2. Amazing fresh hot and chewy pizza with thin crusts and quality ingredients? Check 3. Great atmosphere and service? yes 4. Fair pricing? Yes We had some of the best pizza ever at Pizza Re. Spicy salami was delicious, bro in law said his seafood pizza was the best he ever had (He lives in Europe so he's had a lot) and I had a delicious 1/2 pizza 1/2 calzone (amazing once you see how they make it). Tiramisu was also on point. Delicious place, hit it up after a long day of walking and shopping nearby! read more

Staff came across as tired and ready to leave. The pizzas were OK. Americans might think of this as amazing, but for all of us who's traveled around Europe a tiny bit; This is the least you can expect from a pizza. Dirty tables, waiters who don't care at all, a pizza chef who looks tired of his job and just decent pizza. Price is good, but sometimes quality should go before price. It's an OK place to grab a quick pizza, but if you want a real good Pizza: Walk another 37 seconds down the street. read more

Had an amazing lunch here. We started with the fried calamari and grilled vegetables. Both were extremely flavorful. We then ordered our pizzas. I got the diavolina which is their version of pepperoni pizza. It is a spicy salami with mozzarella and tomato sauce. The Peperoni pizza they have is actually sweet peppers so the waiter was very nice at letting me know. Super tasty and a nice doughy crust. We then has their cheesecake and the coffee and it was a great end to our meal. We had to wait a while since we went their during the lunch rush so be prepared if you are going to go during 12-2 pm. read more
