I got outvoted and was dragged back to the Pizza ranch the other day. Needless to say, my experience was much like the last. I really just can't see why this pizza is considered to be good by some reviewers. While other restaurants season and spice, it just seems like vegetable oil has been and will continue to be the predominating flavor of their product. Their chicken was still pretty good, but man their pizza still widely misses the mark for me. I'm giving it an additional star for at least having something worth eating on the buffet, but I don't necessarily feel good about it. This is somewhat beside the point, but the religious nature of the establishment somewhat irks me too. Not really all that important, good food is good food, but when gospel is playing over all over the restaurant it sort of made me (a non-religious person) feel like I was eating at a church function. It's sort of expected, though, given that it's their company's official mission 'To glorify God by positively impacting the world we live in', but I thought it was worth mentioning anyway. read more

Always clean with friendly staff. I love the Christian music playing over the Muzak. I also like that they support several groups and charities by letting them come in and work for tips. Good food with a good cause...gotta love it! read more

Pretty good Pizza and Fried Chicken. Mainly a Buffet place but Quality Pizza/Chicken. Not your average over cooked/processed buffet place. The Pizza is swapped out fast and the fried chicken is crispy on the outside and moist in the middle. Good Value and good for families. read more

Pizza was tasteless. Salad bar was weak on selections and was using shredded iceberg lettuce. Desserts ok but not worth the $10 price tag! The ice cream machine was turned off and no one knew how to turn it back on! 5 people out huddled around the machine looking at the instructions while the pizza table was left unattended. Best PR that I have ever eaten at! I have been to the one in Omaha, Missouri Valley, Ankeny, and Altoona. This place has the best selection no matter what you're there for. I LOVE the fact they hire deaf people to work there. Just a great place to go eat and bring the kiddos (games and a basketball court). read more

If you're heading there from I 80 eb watch out for the fast yellow light on the off ramp. It has a 80 dollar red light camera That got us. Hundred dollar pizza never tasted so awful. The place can be seen from the highway but is tough to get to. read more

Terrible service! Ordered a gluten free BLT pizza for pick up. The pizza I received was a BBQ Chicken pizza. I called the store to let them know they gave me the wrong pizza and the manager was anything but helpful. Their BBQ chicken pizza is not gluten free and in order for them to get the order correct I would have to drive back to the store for them to fix their mistake. This is horrible customer service not to mention if I would have eaten the pizza they sent me I could have gotten very sick since teh BBQ has wheat in it and I have Celiac's. read more

My husband and I discovered this restaurant a couple months ago.Until today, the employees have been very friendly and helpful, and the chicken is good.Today, the girl taking our carry out order refused to sub potato salad for mashed potatoes. We are not looking for anything free, we would pay extra if needed. This is something they have done numerous times and it was never a problem. I asked the young lady when we picked up our order why this was never a problem before, and she told me it depends on the manager. Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had. Dirty food bars, dirty hands and greasy hair on wait staff. People were waiting for over 15 minutes for chicken to refill on their buffet bar. Dressing on buffet was ice cold as well as the gravy. Pizza crust was like eating cardboard! And cold!!! probably 20 people were standing around waiting for food to refill. Finally came out with a bowl of corn to fill the buffet. And who would eat it after you saw the server ? Ice cream machine was "out of order again" I used to really enjoy the place but will go to the locations in Omaha and Papillion. They actually want to please the customer. My family decided we would give the new place in town a try so I ordered pizza to be delivered. The employee was very nice on the phone and helpful. She took my order at 5:15pm. I was told that it would be 45 minutes. At 6:10pm I called and asked if the delivery would be at my home shortly. The young lady told me that they were "Short Staffed" and "several people called out." They we just about to leave with our order. I asked if they intended to call to let us know of the delay, her response was "well, it's leaving now!" I then asked to speak with the manager. A minute later "Carlos" came to the phone, I explained the issue and he said that he apologized for the delay and they included a Dessert in my order. I told Carlos, that a dessert is not needed but a call would have gone a long way. He then added that "I called at 5:15pm so my order wasn't even 10 minutes late at that point!" He asked if he could place a credit for a future purchase on my account to make up for it. I told him that in Council Bluffs, a small town, word or mouth is everything. For this reason we tried them initially, a future credit would not be needed because we do not intend on dining at "The Pizza Ranch" again. I feel that my complaint was not given a 2nd though until I asked for a manager and after hearing my issue, Carlos devalued my issue by saying it was barely late. For these reasons, we will not NOT be recommending your establishment to our friends or family in the community. read more

Chicken tortilla soup and waffle fries are AMAZING!!! They play Christian music, service is great, food is great! Love it

We went in and paid sat down and went to the pizza buffet and to our surprise they only had 8 pizzas up and that's all it looked like it would hold and three was BLT pizza they said they would make any pizza you want and bring it to your table but you had to wait 20 to 30 min, they had fried chicken but it was so salty you couldn't hardly eat it they had mashed potatoes they were fair but now I know why people was piling it up on their plates it was the best thing there, the salad bar was a joke and they had soup but only one and the dessert well if you wanted to wait in a line and may not even have any there when you got there go for it. read more

Great pizza buffet, with unique pizzas and a nice salad bar, and the great surprise of fried chicken and fixins too. Kids and grown ups all loved it. Best of all though, was their company motto on the wall near the entrance. Even if the food was mediocre, (which it isnt!) We enjoy the Pizza Ranch buffet. We get to hear our favorite music as we eat great chicken and my favorite pizza that they make on request and bring to my table very quickly. It is very kid-friendly and our grandkids love it, too. read more

The mashed potatoes are awesome and the bar-b-que chicken is just as good. I always say I am going to try the pizza, but I always get full before I get to it. My kids love the basketball court and it gives us adults a chance to talk without bored kids bothering us. The staff here is unbelievably customer oriented. When my father was ill and our family came to town, we called to ask if we would be able to bring in a Vitamix to puree his food as he could not eat solid food. The manager said they would handle pureeing it for us. When we arrived, she came over personally and helped Dad decide what he wanted and pureed it and brought it to him. read more

I'd give it zero if that would be a choice. I ordered a pizza to pick up last week with a coupon that was for any large pizza your way for $10. I asked for extra cheese and she said extra cheese would be an additional charge. I told her no where on the coupon I was holding did it state this. I've seen other coupons from them that does say it's an additional charge, but this coupon didn't. I argued with her and she would not give in. I finally said that's absolutely bull shit and told her not to put extra cheese on it then. When I got the pizza home I ordered original crust, but this one was thin. I also ordered it with extra sauce, but this one didn't have any sauce on it. Apparently I pissed her off and this was her way of getting back at me. The pizza tasted about as good as the box it came in. If I wouldn't live 20 miles away I would have turned around and spoke to her manager. I sent in a web comment card on the matter and have heard nothing from that even though I check the box to be contacted. This was an extremely bad experience at Pizza Ranch. read more
