I had visited for CWS and I was surprised that our food got out as fast as it did. We ordered a bbq chicken pizza and it easily fed 4 adults. We stopped in midweek between lunch and dinner. Metered street parking is available in the immediate area. The restaurant was pretty quiet, but we were pleasantly greeted and quickly seated. Clearly, this is a restaurant caters to the busier times around sporting events. Menu is pretty standard bar fare and pizza. We checked out their spinach, artichoke dip, which was served with corn chips and it was pretty tasty. Pizza choices were limited to pre-selected combinations with cute names. Larger pies could be split 50-50 toppings (a plus). Thin crust, which is my preference, was light and crunchy. Sauce was pretty good but I could have done without the pizza being cut into little tiny pieces (Not a big deal to some, but I am from New York so a good pie slice/wedge is important to me -LOL!). A full bar, plenty of beers on tap, and a number of NA choices to make everyone happy! Good place to stop if you're looking for some thin crust pizza and not too picky about specialty items. Our group of 5 went to do Jell-O shots to support our favorite team during the College World Series. The Jello-o room wasn't crowded and we were served quickly. The only nice thing about this place is the location if you are downtown. It's super close to the ballpark. Especially during the CWS, it's full of college frat boys and dads. The place has lots of TVs and open space. The pizza is overpriced cheap freezer pizza that has a thin, dry cardboard crust that had a thin layer of cheese on top. Even as a drunk midnight eat, I couldn't eat more than a slice. The nachos with queso dip weren't even fully cooked. The queso was still slightly frozen in the middle. read more

For the life of me, I don't understand why Rocco's never sells pizza by the slice during the College World Series, which is by far the busiest time of the year for this place. This is why we rarely stop by - it's way too busy and you have to order a whole pizza. So what did we do on a slow day in August? We ordered a full pizza. We ordered a pepperoni and jalapeño pepper, which was amazing. You get a thin crust here. In fact, when we held each square slice at the edge, it did not limp down, which is a great testimony to the quality. Just a right amount of sauce, not too saucy. It has a rather unique flavor to me that I don't get anywhere else. Rocco's is also famous for selling shots as a fundraiser during the CWS, which is pretty cool. read more

We popped in on a weekday afternoon for a snack and an adult beverage. Aaa- Menu was the most pedestrian thing I've seen since the 80's we got the chicken nachos- can't mess that up right.... Chips cheese chicken... well - you know how when you get home and you just want a quick snack- Tostitos and a hand full of shredded cheese and you pop them in the microwave and dang it the are 1-2 minutes tooooo long. Ive been here a couple times and the pizza is okay, nothing great. But it's good if you're in a hurry before a show at slowdown or something else nearby. That being said I have a major issue with management at this location. I have a psychiatric service dog, and according to FEDERAL LAW, the only places that can deny entry for service dogs are religious institutions. This afternoon I attempted to go there for a late lunch between CWS games. The guy working the door said i could not bring my service dog in. I told him that per FEDERAL LAW, he is only allowed to ask 2 questions, is the animal a service animal, and what service does it provide. He said dogs are not allowed. I asked him to get the manager, and the manager came out took one look at my dog in its vest, with ID card displayed. His response was "I don't care, no dogs" Someone should advise this owner about the Americans with disabilities act, as if I really wanted to be a dick, this is a slam dunk ADA lawsuit, but because I'm not a dick, I'm instead posting this as a yelp review. I visited Rocco's a few weeks before CWS during the Big 10 tournament across the street. When we walked in, there was a sign that said wait to be seated. We waited a while and no one ever came over, despite many employees walking by, so we finally went up to the bar to ask the bartender. We sat outside because it was pretty busy and the inside seats were full. We asked if we would get drinks at the bar and then sit outside, but they said a server would be out there. We sat there for about 10 minutes before someone came by. We finally put in an order for two summer shandies, which were good and very cold. The drinks were also pretty cheap too, which was nice. While finishing our drinks, most people cleared out to head out to the baseball game and the patio and restaurant were almost empty. We were the only ones left on the patio and finished our drinks, though we didn't see our waitress for at least 20-30 minutes after finishing our drinks. We may have waited longer, though while on the way to the restroom, the server was inside talking and did not give any indication she would come outside, so we asked if we could pay our tab. My boyfriend and I arrived 5-10 minutes before 3mp, we didn't leave until 3:50. We were the only patrons, it was completely empty. Our server was kind, but once we put our chip and dip order in, she sat down immediately on her phone. 10-15 minutes goes by and we get chips. She did not check on us, I got tired of waiting for her to come check on us so I brought our empty chip container to the counter and asked for a refill. I told her it's been a while since you've checked on us. Which we had no idea, I would've just asked for our pizza to go. I totally understand that catering orders are a big deal. It's just unacceptable that it was 40 plus minutes for a pizza. I've been going to Omaha and Rocco's for 4 years now. Yesterday before our game a bartender grabbed me and said I was serving Jell-O shots to what looked like 8 year olds. I am a bartender and would not serve children alcohol. A Dad I didn't know was next to us serving his kids. As I walked by then they said they saw me do it. The owner grabbed me by the neck escorting me out and shoved me out the door saying "don't let him back in." The bartender slapped my dads drink out of his hand and said "get the frick out." A friend and former employer of mine is friends with the owner of Rocco's and set up a meeting between us this morning. He was immediately hostile saying he saw me buy a full tray of purple shot and hand them out to kids. I said show me the video because I only bought 8 red shots. He refused and denied grabbing me by the neck. He said to get the cops if we wanted, but we were warned around Omaha that the video would just be "missing." Basically told us to go frick our selves that I wouldn't admit to something I didn't do. He was anything but reasonable. He even started yelling in front of other customers instead of talking in private. Their owner and social media team also believe in blocking people to hide reviews and posts. Very unprofessional business that does not understand the law or the rights customers have. This place is a few blocks north of the Fairfield Inn, so it was an easy choice for dinner on a cold December night. Too easy. When we arrived, we were the only couple there. Okay, that should have been a warning. This is also right next to the stadium where the NCAA College World Series plays, and various shows. The beer was okay - cold and crisp. We ordered some cheese curds for appetizers, and then a Margherita Pizza for dinner that we planned to share. The cheese curds were okay. Hot, fresh. The Margherita Pizza came, and was not as good as we would have expected. The whole point about pizza is taste - this one was bland. I had to get out the salt and pepper - which I've never had to do for Margherita Pizza ever since it's so spicy. They much have forgot the spices - it could have used garlic and oregano and some other spices. Then the check was wrong (warning three) - again, remember, the place was deserted (back to warning one) So this gets an Average Rating. If you are hungry give it a try. If you want beer, go for it. The bar is serving trays of jello shots with no control over who is getting the shots. There were minors all across the bar drinking. Your owner mis-identified my son as someone serving alcohol to minors. We requested he post the video to prove it happened but he refused and instead blocked us and friends from your pages. We have filed a police complaint against Kevin (owner) for grabbing him by the neck as he left and another against your bartender for knocking a beer out of my hands. All we wanted was to review the video, prove it was a mistaken identity and get an apology. Kevin got belligerent, refused to show the video and basically said f you. I had something that was supposed to be a chicken burrito. It wasn't. This is the second truly awful burrito I've had in Omaha so maybe I should take the hint. I decided to stopped by this place for some pizza and a brew since I was in the area. One thing I noticed immediately was the entire establishment was empty besides the cook and the bartender. I placed an order for a cheese pizza, garlic bread, and a cold brew. Well, the cold brew was on point, the garlic bread was alright, but the pizza was flat out terrible. The main issues with the pizza I had was that pizza was unusually salty, bland, rubbery, and just a complete uninspired mess slapped together. This pizza was the worse pizza I've ever had in my life. After a few more bites into this pizza I decided I couldn't continue to eat this hot mess. Mind you, this pizza was far worse than pizza we use to receive when we were in elemental/middle/high school or a bad frozen pizza from the grocery store. It's the College World Series first day and I am across the street at Rocco's Pizza and Cantina, watching the first afternoon game before heading to the ballpark to attend the evening contest between Arizona and Vanderbilt. It was moderately crowded and a table was available near the bar. I knew pizza was on the menu for the evening game so the plan was was to pick the Chicken tacos and Xhicken salad along with a cold beer. Tacos were about average in taste and on the drier side. No salsa or Pico de Gallo to help with the dryness. The salad was about average in taste. The server was very attentive and the crowd was friendly throughout the game. Perhaps, I should have picked the pizza instead of the tacos and salad. No one who ordered the pizza looked disappointed. I guess in hindsight, I should have overloaded on pizza that day. The Pacifico beer was good from the tap. It's been decades since I had this beer. It probably was the best item ordered. I am hoping I will get another opportunity to judge their pizza soon. read more

Let me start by saying that I visited Rocco's several times during the College World Series and really enjoyed each visit. It's very close to Charles Schwab Field where they play the games. Our visits were before and after games to have a beer or two and support our team in the Jell-O shot Challenge. It was crowded, but the bar service was quick and friendly. And it was a great place to interact with fans of all eight teams. On second thought make that six teams. We think Virginia and Stanford fans were out looking for a wine bar to sip their Chablis. So the other fans/patrons were a lot of fun to interact with, the drinks were cold and the access to the stadium was excellent. I'll go back next time I'm in Omaha! read more

We're locals and finally got around to stopping in. ....and we're done going there. We thought they had just opened but apparently had been there a few months already. I had the tacos and my girlfriend got the nachos. What came out looked like my college aged self was working the kitchen. The "Tacos" were flour tortillas straight from the bag, warm chicken, lettuce and cheese. I'd be shocked if it took more than 10 seconds to make. When my girlfriend reached out to Rocco's about her nachos they didn't apologize they kind of turned it around on her. "We get compliments all the time on our nachos!" I honestly think I made better food, hammered out of my mind, with leftovers in my fridge, in a microwave, at 4 in the morning. Went here during the Omaha art festival and was really disappointed. Tried their artichoke dip, Margherita pizza, and someone in my party also got the chicken tacos. All were pretty bland and just not very good. The staff was all very nice and helpful... the food left something to be desired though. My artichoke dip was watered down in the middle and burned on the edges. They were getting pretty busy so sending this back just didn't feel like good timing. The pizza was also pretty bland with not much cheese. The person ordering the tacos only are one of the 3 because they weren't liking them.
