This pizza is awesome!! We got a combo and a cheese, they were both bomb! Service was pretty great, we had pickup for 7pm and got it about 7:15 but that is always to be expected for a pizza place. The vibe of the place is good, very casual, very friendly!

This has always been one of our favorite pizza spots. So much so, they catered our wedding! It's not the best of the best of Omaha, but the crust is unique to other pizza spots. It's almost homemade pizza taste and look. The toppings are plentiful, and the sauce is sweet but not too sweet. The chicken salad is one of our faves, and we get it every time. I only have one gripe with it though, it needs more lettuce! The lettuce to topping to dressing ratio is way too much dressing and topping for the lettuce you get. The sourdough rolls are yummy! Crunchy outside, flaky, and good with a pat of butter.

My husband and I recently got takeout from Sgt Peffers and it's as good as I remember for my UNMC med school days! The baked pastas are the way to go, hands down! We ended up getting a baked cheese tortellini in Alfredo sauce and a vegetarian lasagna, which we ordered over the phone without any problems. The entrees were supposed to come with a soup or salad each and we got one soup (a chili) and a Cesar salad. The entrees also come with a roll. When I pulled up to the drive through window (yes, there's a drive through window for called ahead takeout orders!), though, it took upwards of 5 minutes for someone to notice I was there. Once they did notice, they were all very nice but there seemed to be some confusion about the order. They confirmed the order and then told me it would still be about 10 minutes, but then it was handed over to me in just a few minutes, which wasn't a bad thing at all. When I got home, we realized that they forgot to include the salad, which was a bummer. The confusion at the drive through and salad being missing aside, the meal was delicious. The Alfredo tortellini was super rich, creamy, cheesy, and super filling! The lasagna was a cheesy tomato goodness that balanced the creamy alfredo nicely. Can't wait to go back!

This was a good experience with Sgt. Peffer's, it is convenient for pick up with the drive through which is awesome. The staff was friendly and made sure our order was correct before closing the bags. We got food on a Friday so they had the Chicken Florentine soup which was really really good. Haven't had a bad soup from this place. I had the Italian sampler with a half and half of red and white sauce which is the move here. One of my buddies did the same. My wife had the tortellini with the mixed sauce and my other buddy did the cannelloni with the mixed sauce as well. I have been in the past and not done the mixed sauce and wasn't too impressed but something about having both of them to mix or go back and forth with is great. The side salad for my one friend was good just a side salad he did just get ranch tho and not one of their dressings. Rolls were okay. I have had the pizza before which is also good. Another thing they do which is really unique is if you're having drinks at the Homey Inn across the street they will deliver food over there as well. Definitely will be back and glad to see they were able to make it through the first stage of construction in the area. Look forward to my next meal here.

Sgt. Peffers is an Omaha staple. Truly just feels like an old school mom and pop pizza joint...because it is Our GO TO meal here is the 5 white cheese pizza. It's savory, indulgent and seriously just so good all around. We've also dabbled with the baked pastas a time or two and they make a great option for a family style meal at home or an easy drop off meal if you're like us and have friends with new babies every few months . Today was actually the first time I tried one of their salad options - and while I would've preferred a Romaine option or something higher quality than iceberg - the chicken itself, house dressing and overall size made it feel like a worthwhile menu option anyway. Come in, order at the counter, grab a spot and settle in for some truly great pizza.

Don't ask me how to pronounce it. No one seems to know…read more There is something about Spezia that is so welcoming. No wonder it's always packed. Friendly service, comfy setting, and oh yeah - the food! Unfortunately for me, there is too much seafood on the menu but there's always something. People rave about the seafood dishes so I'll trust them and say it must be good. I'm just not into it. On this visit, we each ordered a cocktail. I decided to try the lemon martini which I never order and OH MY GOODNESS. It was awesome! They nailed it. The limoncello brought it home. My dining partner had a dirty martini and was satisfied as well. We enjoyed a Spezia salad which featured mixed greens, prosciutto, tomato, Kalamata olives, and a house vinaigrette. It all combined so well. The lettuce was wonderfully fresh, no need to pick out rotting leaves like some places. The dressing was simply light and delish. We shared a plate of spaghetti. You get several options to add to it. The grilled spicy Italian sausage sounded good. I'm not sure which was better. The sausage or the marinara sauce. Both were soooooo good!! The sausage was truly grilled and spicy and just amazing, and it was not greasy either. The marinara sauce challenged my own that I make at home. We devoured that plate of spaghetti which was big enough to share. I forgot to take a picture as it was served so I am sharing a tight shot of half the order after we divided it.

Spezia, you let me down!…read more Our waiter struggled to keep up with the dinner rush. We arrived for our reservation and were seated at 6:40 where we weren't greeted by our waiter for quite awhile. It took a long time to get our drinks and I had to ask for bread so we decided to skip appetizers and go straight to our entree. When ordering the entree our waiter said "and which salad would you like?" And then listed the salad options. Normally when ordering a main and the waiter says which salad do you want that's because the salad comes with the meal. Nope. We were charged $11 per salad that we didn't even really want. The salads were your average side salad, but thankfully had good dressings. We hadn't brought up salads, the waiter did when we ordered our entree. So we were disappointed to have $20+ in salads that we didn't request until the waiter offered them. Our salads were finished for at least 15 minutes before our main entree came out at about 7:30, nearly an hour after we had been seated. My shrimp scampi was good, the broccolini was a touch under cooked but the flavors were still good, and the shrimp was surprisingly large in size and cooked exactly how it should be. Had we been served quicker and not offered things that didn't come with our meal when ordering our meal we may have been happier, hard to say. The table next to us was sat about 10 minute after us and had a different waitress. They received their entire meal (including bread & apps) and left before we were offered dessert. The food is good, I won't discredit that at all. But when coming to a restaurant like this you are expecting a level of service that we just didn't get. I'm sure we'll try again in the future and if service is better I will definitely update my review but for now, this was a let down of a birthday dinner.

Right off the bat, we were greeted warmly and had the sweetest waitress. We ordered drinks and some focaccia. It came out warm with fresh parmesan cheese and oil. Light and airy, it melted in our mouths - absolutely delicious! Our pasta entrees were each perfectly seasoned and plated. Al dente. We both could have licked our plates clean! The sauces were perfection. And then the best part of an already flawless meal - the homemade tiramisu. If you come here don't order that, what are you even doing?! It was so good, I needed a cigarette afterwards (and I don't smoke). We will without a doubt be back, sooner than later. Thank you, Cibo Vino!

I've been here on multiple occasions and the consistency and service is unmatched. I think they do a really great job handling busy evenings because I've never had an issue getting a reservation here last minute. It helps the restaurant is large, but I haven't found it influences the quality. My favorite menu items are the vodka pasta and the brown butter alfredo. It's a really hard debate every visit. For $4 you must try the very large portion of rosemary focaccia. They also have one my favorite Caesar salads in Omaha. I also love to snag a spot on the patio if available -- great people watching!

For the main course, I had the penne bolognese fiorna, and it was flawless (rich, fresh, and a generous portion). My better half went for the Big Vinny Combo (chicken parmigiana, fettuccine Alfredo, baked lasagna). Everything hit except the Alfredo needing a touch more salt... though she definitely didn't need any help enjoying those glasses of wine. The kiddo crushed her cavatappi with shrimp -- fork never stopped moving, and she couldn't stop talking about how good it was. Though it could be considered slightly pricey, it's absolutely worth it. We started off with happy hour drinks and calamari. The lemonchello and Negroni are strong!!! You've been warned! The calamari was surprisingly delicious. It didn't have a fishy taste, the breading was thin, tasty and yummy. The sauces it came with were also bomb. It had a nice kick along with pickled peppers that I could eat by itself. Now to the stars of the show -- margherita and pepperoni pizza. Wow. It almost felt like our taste buds were transported to Italy after the first few bites. Both of these pizzas were on the happy hour menu. I strongly recommend getting them if you're in a pizza mood. From the fresh dough, to fresh cheese and marinara sauce.. these pizzas alone are a huge reason we will come back. Our daughter had the buttered noodles which were also tasty. Our server was great, food came out in a timely manner. The space itself is clean and cozy. There is a bar, plus indoor and outdoor seating.
