This is not my first OG rodeo. I'm a long time fan and patron. Writing because of the service. We had just driven13 hours and were exhausted. Used the online waitlist for quick seating--It worked great! Highly recommend. Seated within 5 minutes despite a lot of people waiting. Server was Cameron. He was friendly and intuitive. He didn't fuss or push a bunch of extras. Breadsticks were obviously going to be a hit with the table...so he brought those immediately with the drinks. Manager checked on us before drinks were dropped just to make sure we'd been seen. (Who does that? It's a big place, but she saw us!). Cameron brought us a second basket of breadsticks as soon as he saw the first one demolished. He said he "knew". Yes, sir! We definitely wanted more. Please and thank you. He offered me a refill on my soup, because I slurped that up as well. (The Toscana soup....who can blame me?). I didn't know soup refills were a thing unless you got the soup & salad combo. Clearly the food value is high. Excellent when everything is soooo expensive. Food was great--per the usual. Refills for the non-alcoholic drinks were without needing to ask. Love that. Also, Cameron boxed our leftovers for us. That surprised me. Restaurants don't box my leftovers unless I've spent $50/plate. Nice touch, OG. The Delivery Service that they have is terrible, after trying 4 times to place my order , the service would not accept the credit cards Name on the Card. I called the restaurant and they only do delivery for catering orders. This is unacceptable for a restaurant. read more

The shrimp scampi was bland and pasta overcooked. It tasted like it was all frozen and reheated. The cream of chicken soup tasted like straight cream and flour. We did not take any of it home. read more

This is the brand new OG in Plainfield. The servers were great. Everyone was friendly and our server made sure we had everything we wanted. The vibe is typical of OG, but I'll say that the layout is really nice and they keep it clean. The food was good. A bit more salty then I like but it was good regardless. I will visit again. I'm very simple. I want fettuccine Alfredo and I get an extra side of Alfredo dipping sauce for the next day and extra breadsticks it comes with. Wanted to try something SLIGHTLY new but they don't give an option for the tortellini pasta upgrade so I ordered the tortellini Alfredo with chicken. Said no meat please because I'm not eating meat. Pasta came out how I asked. Reheated my breadsticks with my dipping sauce and added it to my leftover tortellini, and there was some type of meat in the dipping sauce I ordered and I was so confused ! We ordered Olive Garden's OG To Go menu for a small office gathering, and it was a total hit. The ordering process was smooth, and everything was packaged neatly with plenty of utensils, napkins, and serving tongs-- really convenient for a workplace setup. The food arrived hot, fresh, and on time. Everyone enjoyed the classic favorites (salad, breadsticks, soup, lasagna and chicken alfredo.) The tiramisu was fantastic! They were even able to provide a gluten‑free rotini with meat sauce that was delicious. The pasta had great texture and flavor. I found it to be very close to regular pasta. Overall, Olive Garden made hosting an office lunch incredibly easy with inclusive options for dietary needs. We'll definitely be ordering again for future team events. read more

Went to Olive Garden for what was supposed to be a nice lunch and it turned into a complete waste of time. We were stuck with the WORST server I've ever had, Emily (blonde). She had a nasty attitude from the start and clearly did not care about her job or her tables. She barely checked on us at all, but somehow had plenty of time to sit on her phone texting while we were waiting. We ordered a create-your-own pasta with Alfredo sauce. Everything seemed fine until the bill came out and she had charged us for a chicken Alfredo instead, claiming it was "modified." When we questioned it, THAT'S when she decided to tell us that "create your own doesn't apply because Alfredo costs more." Funny how that information only came out after we finished eating. We wouldn't have minded paying extra if we were told BEFORE ordering, but springing it on us after the meal is shady and unprofessional. No explanation upfront, no apology, no accountability--just attitude. Overall, terrible service, terrible communication, and zero professionalism. Extremely disappointed and definitely won't be coming back anytime soon. read more

The shrimp frita appetizer is fantastic; I highly recommend it. However, the Alfredo sauce dishes are quite disappointing, and the lasagna is even worse just review the picture you will be shocked someone would serve that... Despite having plenty of staff, the service could use some improvement. Our meal was delivered to the wrong table and then came out incorrect. They did remove the Tour of Italy from our bill, and the place was busy, so I appreciate that effort. However, please work on improving the service. If the meal is going to take longer, at least ensure it's correct. read more

Service: okay. There's a machine to order and pay at the table so there's no need to interact with the waiters that much. Ambiance: extremely loud and busy. The kitchen noise flows out into the dining area. You can hear the constant yelling from the servers entering and exiting the kitchen. Think a busy Disney restaurant, just chaos. Food: Okay. Olive Garden use to have pretty decent food. It wasn't fine dinning Italian, but it was good food. Honey, oh honey. Terrible!!! Breadsticks still kicking. Salad, consistent. But we got the spinach and artichoke dip, terrible. We could tell it was just put in a bowl and warmed in a microwave. The portion size, so small. None of us had leftovers. The food was delicious. I had the Alfredo fettuccine with broccoli and the five cheese ziti to take home . Not only this the server dropped the meal at a nearby table and the plate broke and a piece hit my arm . When I tell you the manager Leema swooped in to make sure I was okay and had no injuries and also the server Lindsey apologized immensely. I was fine and did not expect the care they took of me it was wonderful. They took care of my meal and they gave me a $50 Olive Garden giftcard. read more

Our second visit to this restaurant. It has a very nice decor. I ordered the cheese Ravoli and an order of 1 Italian sausage. The ravioli was quit tasty but the sausage was supposed to be served with marinate; and it did not. My wife ordered the eggplant parmesan and it came with a sided spaghetti. It was delicious and there was enough to enjoy another meal! That's always nice. Our server (Adrianna) was very attentive and she always had a smile. I recommend this restaurant. read more

I am absolutely disgusted as far as the quality of the food at the Plainfield location. First off, the side order of sausage was supposed to come with marinara sauce. There was no sauce in the container and the sausages were dry as can be. I ordered the Stuffed Chicken Marsala. I have ordered this from the location in Bolingbrook and it was good. This location provides half of the size, plus when I cut into the middle of the chicken when I got to that point, it was raw. I didn't want to chance it and I threw it away. The take home pasta with meat sauce had barely any sauce on it, the pasta was way undercooked, and it tasted like it was made a week ago. The edges of the pasta were dried up. Totally unacceptable. I have given Olive Garden way too many chances and this puts the icing on the cake. Never again! Please avoid this location at all costs! read more

I have never been a fan of Olive Garden. I feel it is over priced due to its name. I decided to give it a try after about 10 years having it last and it does not seem to have changed. The fettuccine Alfred (a common/easy dish in my opinion), was dry/cold/tasteless. The toasted raviolii tasted as if it frozen. I would say the Minestrone soup was not too bad although it too was cold. The 5 cheese ziti at least had a little more flavor than the alfredo, although still dry. The reason I give 2 stars instead of 1; the servers were promt and polite. Probably will be another 10 years before I try again read more

I love this Olive Garden! My fiancé and I went in at around 6pm on a Saturday so of course we were expecting it to be busy. We come in and the host tells us it will be about a 40 minute wait, and as we're discussing if we should leave or not, she tells us that if we join the waitlist online it won't take as long. So I did that and she even told me that she would try to bump us up on the list. We waited not even five minutes and our table was ready. The service was extremely fast, too. We didn't have to wait long for our food or drinks. The waiter checked on us multiple times despite how busy it was. I'm so glad they opened up an Olive Garden near my house and I'm even more glad that the service here is better than any other one I've been to. Keep up the great work! read more

Went to the restaurant in the late afternoon. The parking lot was shoveled, which made getting there pleasant. For a party of two, it was around a 20-minute wait. Once sat, Kayla introduced herself and brought us waters. The restaurant was extremely clean and soft music was playing. We then proceeded to order drinks and our meal. The drinks were fruity, which we liked, and the 1st of the 2 rounds of soup came out nice and hot along with the breadsticks. The entrees came out shortly afterward. The pasta, chicken, and shrimp were all cooked perfectly and flavorful. You can pay via the tablet on the table or with your server. read more

This is a beautiful restaurant with a separate area dedicated to pickup and carryout. Came for my son's birthday with a party of 8 at 6pm on a Friday. We were told 20 min for a table but we were seated in 5. Very attentive service from our waiter. But they were out of rose wine (how?!) and draft Bud Light. Food was served hot and we all enjoyed our orders. Definitely will be back! Would be lovely for a date night...the bar area looked beautiful. read more

Came here for lunch and our waitress Cashay was absolutely amazing and even though she was being pulled all over because her tables were all over, she made sure to keep checking on us and we had what we needed. I could not believe that this old man came across the whole restaurant to make a scene about breadsticks to yell at our waitress! We really wanted to tell him to relax but thought the manager should have told him to leave. And even after all that he walked back to his table taking chocolates off other tables and stuffing them in his pocket... people don't know how to be civil and just tell her or someone else while near their table... felt so bad for our waitress and that she had to go through that. I want to give a shout out to Gustavo our General Manager and Nicole our Manager this afternoon who were very caring, and kind. We had Emma as our server' this afternoon, and how lucky we were. Emma had a sense of humor and will greet you with a smile and a genuine uplifting, kind, and caring demeanor. The staff was friendly, efficient, and helpful, I was very pleased with the taste and quality of my meal, a nice selection of food items on the menu. The 2 hostess girls were rude and dismissive towards me and my partner, they didn't greet us & The 1 girl had an attitude immediately upon seeing us, she wouldn't even look at us. Our table was ready and instead of calling our name- like she did with the 2 groups in front of us, we got a text even tho we were 4ft away, she was looking at us over her shoulder with stank face. Service was aweful. Took 20 minutes to get drinks the another 15 minutes for breadsticks. We got seated at 8 pm and it took over Am hour to Get our food which pasta was Hard and undercooked! We did complain that 2 pasta soaker were very salty but refused new dishes because it was almost 10 pm and restaurant was already closed! Disappointed since we waited a long time to Try this new restaurant. The Bolingbrook location is slightly better! Definitely not worth the hype read more

These people are a complete joke. The servers have no clue as to what's being put in that pre bagged crap. I asked for no cheese in the salad before or after. They dressed it with a dressing that had cheese. I told them I don't do dairy they offered to replace it with ranch. Wtf. Soups, I asked for one that does not have a cream base. They bring that sausage and kale contraption with you guessed it ! cream. Good freaking lord. Ruined my experience and wasted 40 mins of my time. We had the opportunity to visit the Olive Garden in Plainfield, IL a day ago. It was a larger group of about 18 coming from a Memorial Svc in Joliet, IL. The restaurant was pretty busy at the time but the Hostess was extremely accommodating even when the initial count jumped from 15 to 18. There was more than a few servers that jumped on ordering for the table. There was no waiting for drinks and the food orders rolled out of the kitchen very quick. Awesome experience with a special thanks to the Hostess for being so accommodating and wait staff for hustling on all our requests that made the visit quiet enjoyable. Thank You ! read more

Came here with my husband and the kiddos. We were sat immediately thanks to reserving our seat online first. We received the warmest welcome by the host. Our sever was friendly and timely on all of our orders. Our breadsticks were fresh and hot. Salad crisp and full, probably the best Olive Garden salad I've had in a long time. Pasta was perfect.
