Their omelettes are made with five eggs, and I chose to create my own with mushrooms, spinach, and asparagus. I chose extra sausage and extra Swiss cheese to finish it. It was just as good as I hoped it would be. The potatoes that came with it were actually pretty good although I'm not a fan of this kind of home fries. Very disappointed with this business. I paid with my Visa Debit card and was charged a 3.25% surcharge. The only reason I knew about the surcharge was because I happened to look at the receipt before completing my payment. There were no signs at the entrance, register, or menu, and the payment terminal did not disclose the surcharge before I authorized the transaction. They also applied the surcharge to a debit card, which is not permitted under Visa's merchant rules. Because of this, I filed a dispute with my bank and submitted complaints to Visa and the Florida Attorney General. Also 3% is the cap for Visa credit card payments so 3.25% is not allowed. I hope Jorge the "business owner" fixes this because your business can be fined and potentially shut down. read more

#11 is amazing! The breakfast potatoes have a delicious seasoning on them and the crepes are perfect. The #11 has the banana and cream filling and it's so yummy. We went on a Sunday afternoon, and it was busy but still plenty of parking and available seating. We were seated automatically when we walked in. Our server was super polite and attentive even when she had multiple tables. Our food was also served super fast after ordering! Now any typical breakfast restaurant has the world's worst cup of coffee. It's pretty bitter and needs a ton of creamer and maybe even sugar... however, the food was amazing! It was hot, fresh, and filling! I was craving eggs Benedict and they had so many options! I went with the Robin Hood and it was delicious and so light! Really great spot for a variety of delicious eggs benedict! We ordered the breakfast club EB, the Robin Hood EB, the Greek EB, and the chocolate hazelnut pancakes. I really enjoyed the Greek gyro, all the flavors meshed well. The royal was great as well. The breakfast club was fine, but we wished it was atop an English muffin instead of French toast. All we could taste was French toast, not much of the other flavors. The pancakes were great. The service was prompt despite being fairly busy for a Friday at 10am. Huge menu!! Yummy choices. We've been here several times while visiting my sister. The kids like it because of the crêpes and the hot chocolate with whipped cream. You will not leave this place hungry! They also have health conscious options, such as fruit and cottage cheese. But the go to here is French toast, crêpes, sausage, egg, and cheese burritos, etc.. I do have to mention the service. Granted, we were there on a Saturday morning about 11 o'clock, but we didn't have to wait for a table. They were busy but not overcrowded. Our waitress, Maria, was actually rather rude. My sister asked for a Diet Coke when Maria was at our table dropping off a plate. She looked at her very sternly and said can you let me Serv first! OK! I could understand her grumpiness if my sister had been rude, but she was very polite. And then she got us wrong on the bill several times. Three of us ordered a senior meal which included coffee. She charged us for the coffee. On a Saturday morning the kids eat free only one of our kids qualified for That, but she charged us for it. We tried to talk to her about correcting the bill and finally we had to go up to the counter and let her figure it out from there. My guess is she is one of the owners as no waitress that behaves that way would keep a job. I think if we go back there, we will specifically ask not to have her for a waitress. The food is good. It's a breakfast and lunch only place. And they have an awesome fruit platter which we ordered as an appetizer as we were waiting on the rest of the family to show up. We were taking a mini vacation to Indian Rocks Beach and were thrilled to come across this breakfast spot. Literally everything we had was delicious, so much so we ended up going twice on our visit. Even their fruit tasted so much more fresh than other places. The service was incredibly friendly and caring. Almost There Apparently, "Proino" means "breakfast" in Greek. And this diner does a very good job with that meal. Proino looks a little too worn on the outside but inside is sufficiently clean and welcoming. The server was very helpful and filled my coffee regularly. Prices are a touch higher than average, but not unreasonably so. I almost always get a standard 5 things when I visit a diner for the first time for breakfast. The scrambled eggs were good but should have been whipped more. The ham was nicely seared on the grill and very flavorful. French toast was cooked all the way through--a feat often not achieved at other diners. The biscuit was quite nice and was cut in half and put on the grill to toast a bit. Some melon and pineapple on the plate was much appreciated. The only downfall was the grits. They had the right consistency but, as is too common, tasted bland-bland-bland. Lots of salt, pepper and butter helped a bit but that shouldn't be necessary. I would give Proino 4.5 stars if I could, but I chose to round up. Stopped by Proino Breakfast Club today for lunch. I am not a breakfast food person but my companions are. I would say the 95% of the menu is breakfast food. There are some sandwiches and salads as the only lunch food. I had a cheeseburger and it wasn't good. My companions enjoyed their meals. Mine did come with a salad and fries which were both fine. Service and ambience were average. If you like breakfast food, you should definitely stop by Proino's. read more

My wife and I recently had a very disappointing visit to Proino Breakfast Club. The menu is extensive and seeming had a large number of appetizing sounding dishes. I ordered Nico's Famous Greek Gyro Benedict. Right off the bat, this dish violated one of my biggest pet peeves: poached eggs that are cooked through. Poached eggs are supposed to be yolky but these lacked any yolkiness. The gyro meat was tender but lacked any seasoning and the hollandaise sauce was overly syrupy. The only decent part of the dish was the creamy feta cheese. Overall, the food lacked much flavor. You will find better value and quality at most fast food establishments. read more

I have eaten here many times for many reasons. I'm always confused as to why some people rate it negatively because we always have great food & great service. Let me explain why. There are 2 locations and both are equally as good so it doesn't matter which one you go to. When you walk in you are sat at a table and the menu is very large! Now, if you're going for lunch you really don't have many choices, but if you go for breakfast or brunch there is plenty to choose from. This is a diner feel, not a Michelin restaurant so keep that in mind. But if you're hungry and want good tasting food and large portions, then this is your place. This place, I believe, caters a lot to tourists because their paper placemats have a map of Florida and famous locations. I have personally ordered the house specialty of Maria's Greek Skillet with medium over easy eggs many times because it is SO good and you will leave feeling full! My mom has ordered the omelette choices many times and my husband and boys have ordered the #38 Hungry Man breakfast many times as well. Everyone has always left very satisfied. The service has always been good because the food has always come out at a very reasonable timeframe, the waitress checks up on you to see if everything is good, and the refills of drinks keep coming. Every time I have visited Proino Breakfast Club there are plenty of people and that alone says a lot about the place. People wouldn't keep coming back if it wasn't good. There is also an outdoor patio you can eat at on a nice cool day, but Florida doesn't get very many of those so I suggest eating indoors. One thing I wish they did different though, is place ketchup bottles on the tables because it's kind of a pain to keep opening ketchup packets and sometimes we've had to ask for more. It's started as any other day, me wanting breakfast and my wife saying "I don't care where we go". I say "hey, let's go to Proino" and then, we laugh and laugh about how no one knows how to pronounce Proino. Come to find out, it's Greek for "not good". It all started when I ordered water with lemon. To which the waitress politely says "I'm sorry, we don't have lemons". I'm so confused by her statement that when she returns with the water, without lemon, I ask, "why don't you have lemons, are you out or do you never have them"? Her answer compounds my confusion. She tells us that lemons never came back to the restaurant (per owners request) after Covid due to the risk of the transmission of germs between lemon and human.....as she's handing me a menu, and silverware, and coffee and creamers and sugar and my water WITH NO LEMON. As absurd as this sounds I still decide to order. Bacon was gray in color, potatoes were covered in grease, eggs were cooked wrong. However, I did eat the grits, so, there's that. I have a vision of the owners and I imagine them to be people that moved here from the north and decided to open a breakfast joint. They almost pulled it off. read more
