I helped. The cakes were grand even without syrup. I've been making cakes for decades and never nail what she ordered. The bacon was excellent. She had hot tea and I had coffee. Their coffee was first class; I had a refill. Our waitress was awesome. Super friendly and helpful. I believe the owners were on premises. They engaged with customers and the staff (always a good sign). If I'm right, one even manned the grill. We Ubered here from the TWA Hotel, which isn't even 15 minutes away. The only exception was one young woman who seemed polite. If you're lucky enough to be helped by her, your experience may be different. A welcoming atmosphere matters, especially at a place serving food and drinks. When employees treat customers with hostility, it doesn't inspire confidence or make people want to return. The last two times I ordered a smoothie, it was so thick and overly sweet that I couldn't even drink it. Both ended up in the trash, which was a complete waste of money. Based on both the customer service and the quality of the food, I would not recommend this business.
