The restaurant never called and when I called them few times, was told it's on its way or driver coming soon... that soon is like 30 minutes to the restaurant. Then as we were eating, I realized I was missing an order. I called back and they said they would rush it out - fast forward 30 minutes later got a call from the delivery guy saying they left it at the front desk, no apologies, nothing just hung up. I have a short layover by JFK Airport ~ called for delivery. They were efficient and the food was still hot when delivered. The sesame chicken is crunchy outside and moist inside. Good food, fairly priced, delivered hot! The wonton soup alone is fantastic - really BIG wontons that will help to fill you up! I've ordered from them twice in the last two weeks and I plan to order from them again! Service is fast and friendly. I ordered through Seamless and it was no problem at all. They make great lo mein and fried rice. I asked for "medium hot" when I ordered their Szechuan beef but it didn't seem particularly spicy to me. But they did include some hot sauce, which I added, and which was sufficient. I'll try "hot" next time and see how that goes. Their menu is HUGE, and I'm interested to try some of the other items next time, particularly the chow fun noodles. I've been ordering at this place for a while now. This is the only spot that has tasty shrimp and broccoli that never disappoints. However, they don't care about their customers that much. I'm just another dollar to them. I decided to branch off and order shrimp toast. I googled the food item to make sure it's something I would enjoy. Fast forward the order is placed, and the "shrimp toast" doesn't smell anything like seafood. It's straight up pork! Ii called and asked if I can change the item or get a refund and they refused stating that they did not do anything wrong. Mind you, the restaurant is only 1 mile away. They told me 5 minutes, so i gave them a chance. Food was delivered at 6:38pm. I was so hungry that i paid and took the food to the room without checking...just to found out it's missing the chicken wings. Called them at 6:44pm and ofcourse, i got the "5 minutes". It's now 7:40pm, no chickens, no refund, no calls. So i'll consider this my rights to write this review in exchange for the chickens that ive paid for but never received. i would recommend you order from somewhere else if you want food. Number of visits: Three times. Jamaica, Queens. I've been eating at the same Chinese restaurant for the past two months when finally, I had enough. I had ordered a lunch special boneless spare ribs with pork fried rice, and I sat there, eating it, thinking it was "meh". Dry. Underwhelming. There's better. So, I decided to walk a little farther than what I'm used to for lunch, to New Yummy. When I first walked in, I had a good first impression. There are about five tables to eat at, and almost every one of them was taken. Good sign. The Food: On the first day, I ordered a lunch special boneless spare ribs with pork fried rice. When I opened the container, it was like opening a treasure chest. The meal looked different from all the other Chinese restaurants I've ever been to. The fried rice was dark with the green peas bright. No chunks of onions (laziness). These were minced down. On top of the rice, the spare ribs looked legit and delicious, covered in a good amount of brown sauce. It looked good. It tasted good (4 / 5). Just the day before I had the same thing at the other place, which was a 2 / 5. The quality was undeniably better. Yesterday, I ordered shrimp with cashew nuts and today, I ordered shrimp with lobster sauce. Both were good as well. The lobster sauce in particular was flavorful and worked well with the rice. It went down easy. But both had the similar issue of lacking shrimp. Four pieces for both. Still, I was satisfied, but it was because of the sauce-covered celery and carrots of the former, and the tasty sauce of the latter. The Employees: Because of the quality of the food, they get a check in customer satisfaction. I was satisfied in all three visits. My interaction with the employees was minimal. Nothing special, but it's fine and that's how I like it. Business as usual. The Cleanliness: Compared to other Chinese restaurants, it's average, if not above average. Customers dine in and seats aren't plentiful, so you could be seating at a table with the last person's mess. The tables are sticky. It could be worse. Verdict? Ordered delivery to my hotel near JFK. My food was delivered within 20 minutes of when I placed the order. I got the beef and broccoli with fried rice. The combo came with an egg roll. The food tasted fresh and not oily like most Chinese takeout. I also ordered hot & sour soup which could have been a little spicier for my take but was still good. American Airlines strikes again: this time, they overbooked all outbound flights to LAX and I was stranded in the area near JFK. If I wasn't irate enough about spending my entire day in the airport, then American "regretfully" informed me that they would not pay to put me up in a hotel. And the only hotel with vacancy was some fleabag motel (review pending) in Queens. So at this point, it's 11pm and after a day of gate-hopping around the American terminal, I'm cranky, without my luggage, scared of the bedbugs lurking in the upholstery, and extremely famished. After leafing through some take-out menus left on the first floor of the fleabag motel, New Yummy Express looked like the first option that was 1) still open and 2) serving food that was edible. Within half an hour of placing my order over the phone, the delivery guy arrived with my piping hot wonton soup and steamed tofu and vegetables. Were the wontons and the broth just alright? And was the helping of tofu a little paltry? Yes, but for the price, New Yummy Express was just what I needed to prevent a travel-related meltdown. Orders over $15 get you a free soda or eggroll; although a scotch (neat) would have been more of what I needed, a club soda was just perfect. If American Airlines (or Delta. Or Continental. Or TWA.) puts you in a travel-related bind that leaves you stranded in Queens, at least take solace in the fact that you won't have to go hungry. read more

My wife usually order Chinese. when she previously order from this restaurant the food was bland. How can you mess up on chicken wings ? They did !! wifey was running late one night so ordering was up to me. I ordered from here trying to avoid it when I searched yelp but since I didn't know the name of the restaurant I ended up picking the same one. Ordered my food @ 730pm and it never came called back a hour later 830pm and they said they are preparing it. I called back almost a hour after that 9:15pm they said the same thing. First time for delivery. Food was good, but I had two issues that left a sour taste. I made the order for delivery on yelp and added a special instruction to add honey BBQ sauce to 1/2 fried chicken seeing as though I didnt see it on the menu, but I've ordered from various Chinese that made it for no additional charge. I received an email stating my order had been updated and I was charged an additional $.75 just add sauce to a half chicken. Paying it was not a problem, but I ordered online and used my card so I would have liked to be notified of the additional charge before my card was charged and called to see if I still wanted that specific order because of the price change. I called them once I saw the email and they were very nice, warm and apologized and admit that they should have said something so I appreciated that . As for the delivery driver, he didn't speak English very well but from what I understood, he asked me if I paid the tip on card too. I told him yes I paid everything on card and he was annoyed and was digging in his pocket for his phone to see if I had certainly paid it as he was walking from the door. New Yummy Express delivered delicious food hot and fresh to my hotel when I was stranded at JFK. The service, food, and timeliness was superb, and eating the food was the highlight of my night. Thank you New Yummy Express! I feel so terrible that I did not give a proper tip when I fumbled around my change. I wanted to leave a better tip, but didn't realize that I took back to greater change, when I should have done the opposite. Overcooked tasteless chicken egg foo young delivered AGAIN. Two patties had almost all of egg picked off, I guess done once they realized it was not cooked soft as ordered. Requested bean sprouts were not found. All I asked to have left out was the green Chinese cabbage. Gave them several chances to get food and delivery times straight.
