Unable to order online so called in first thing. The pizza was supposed to be half Hawaiian and half veggie. We got about 1/4 veggie 1/4 Hawaiian and 1/4 cheese with olives and peppers. The crust was good but the sauce was bitter. Minkys is definitely the better option for KC pizza read more

This is a great family restaurant with great pizza and salads! We went there over the lunch hour yesterday with a large group which included 6 kids. Staff was great and service was prompt. (Alex has great customer service). Our favorites include the BLT and classic chicken salad, Original Roundtable Pizza and their garlic breadsticks with Alfredo dipping sauce of course! They have a mini arcade/game area, which was perfect for entertaining the kiddos until the food comes. Bring lots of quarters...or they do have a change machine too. We came home with lots of little treasures and bouncy balls. This is a great lunch spot for the lunch specials...make sure you get a lunch punch card. read more

just left the smithville Pizza Shoppe, sign says still observing winter hours but we walked in at 7:40, the kid that talked to us as we walked in acted very annoyed and said we close at 8:00. We asked if there was still time she very begrudgingly said I guess, she said maybe you should just get a pizza to go. Nickel and diming you. :(... Pizza shop in Smithville now charges you extra when you order a large salad and want more salad dressing because it doesn't cover the large salad. I for one will not pay this .... So we got up and walked out and are not going back. There were 2 tables occupied over the Saturday rush hour. So they lost over 1/3 of there client base. We have been going in one or twice a week for a salad and med pizza. Bill ranges from 30 something to 45 something plus a 8 to 12 dollar tip depending on the service and what we order. Bottom line the new owners would rather make an extra 50 cents or 2 dollars (what ever the charge is) for the extra salad dressing that you need to not eat a dry salad than to make 35 to 45 dollars plus tip for the entire meal a couple times a week. I guess that is Smithville math. They are not ever going to get any more money from me for extra salad dressing... read more

We made a spontaneous visit for an early dinner tonight with my brother-in-law. We were very pleasantly surprised to find a warm environment and equally warm service from Melanie. I ordered the Italian sub with extra cheese which is served open face and delicious. My brother-in-law had the same thing minus the extra cheese, my wife ordered the BLT salad and there were no complaints from anyone least of all me. All servings were substantial. I intend to go back and check out the pizza next time. I strongly suggest you do too. read more

I don't know why this Pizza Shoppe is not as good as the one on North Oak. The crust is alway nearly burnt, we've try it over the past 9 years in Smithville 3 times and we are always disappointed. Too bad because Smithville really could use a good pizza parlor. read more

I like the crust on the pizza here as well as any place I have tried. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere with lots of hard wood trim and some interesting period wall posters. Pizza Shoppe not only has great pizza, but they also have sandwiches and some other Italian style dishes. Noon specials include a mini pizza, salad and drink as well as some of their other dishes. Beer and wine are available along with Coca Cola product. Servers are friendly and the food it good. Give it a try! read more

They have Gluten free crusts!! We love pizza shoppe! Fun little AE chase to keep the kids busy while they make pizza. Salad is so good if you are into the salads. Pizza is very good too! Staff is always quick and kind. We like to take our crew there on pizza night. We have also called and picked up with curbside. Highly recommend! read more
