Stopped by Pizza Tascio on Barry Rd and was impressed right away by the huge selection of pizzas available by the slice. I went with the Red Tascio and Buffalo Chicken, and grabbed the 2 slices plus a drink deal, which was a great value considering how big the slices are. These are legit, big NY-style slices. Both were delicious. The Red Tascio was especially good, and the Buffalo Chicken had great flavor. My only small knock was that the buffalo chicken was a LITTLE on the dry side, but it was still really good. And definitely get the ranch.....their ranch is amazing. Service was fast and friendly, and the restaurant itself has exactly the kind of casual, classic pizza-joint atmosphere you'd expect. Great pizza, huge slices, good value, and plenty of options. I love having another pizza by the slice option in the Northland that isn't a convenience store. This is my third Pizza Tascio location that I have visited and is now my favorite. There were more options in the display case than I've seen elsewhere and more seating options for dine-in. Today I had two of my favorites - the White Tascio and the 3-meat. Two large hot New York style foldable slices and a drink for $10. What a deal! The soft drink selection could improve - coke, dt. coke and bottled water are the only options, but I guess it cuts down on storage space. read more

So happy to discover a Pizza Tascio closer time. This location has more seating than the others but still the great pizza. I had the White Tascio and hubs had the CBR ( chicken, bacon, ranch). You can't beat the $10 2 slices and a drink deal! The case had 20 different pizzas to choose from. Their crust is so good. Definitely the best NY-style pizza in KC! Please add a cancel button to your site and auto refund. Waiting on pizza for 45 mns+ is just not acceptable. Or get more ovens and ramp up, to the volume you're getting. Everyone loves a great place to eat till the service is poor (presently occurring) and/or the food gets bad. I've watched two sets of walk in customers walk out tonight. I've been eagerly waiting for the new Pizza Tascio Barry Road location to open across from Zona Rosa. I'd heard nothing but great things about their New York-style pizza, and after finally trying it, I can say it absolutely lives up to the hype. As a first-timer, I was a little surprised that they only offer large 18-inch thin crust pies. Now that I know, I'll be sure to invite a few more people next time. The sauce really stood out. It had great flavor without being overpowering, which you see at a lot of places. The toppings were also generous and well-balanced. One small frustration was the website when building a custom pizza. We like Italian sausage, pepperoni, green peppers, and onions, but the interface made it a bit confusing to choose toppings for the whole pie versus half. I ended up ordering a standard sausage pizza and adding the other toppings. The total came to $38 before tax and tip, which is a bit higher than I typically pay, but it was worth it. We had plenty left over for lunch the next day, which made the value feel much better. Considering they had only been open for three days, I was impressed that my order was ready just three minutes after the promised time. The team was friendly, clearly customer-focused, and seemed to genuinely enjoy what they were doing. That energy came through in the experience. read more

Folks, this is REAL NY pizza. Fresh ingredients, crispy crust, the service time was acceptable (incredibly busy) the mood of the establishment was easy going but busy. This is NOT ypur corporate pizza place it is a home grown real real good pizza joint. Those that have eaten corporate pizza for years might need to adjust your palate, the crunch of the onions and veggies with the pepperoni. Oh and variety yeah they have it all.... pick one or make your own. Well worth the price which for an 18" pie is not really out of line. Enjoy! read more

I came here on 6/11 and it's the finest establishment in the country. I came in roughly around an hour before close I was serviced my Tony and the closing crew. Pizza Tascio isn't a pizza restaurant, it's a national treasure. I'm convinced the Founding Fathers would have added a slice from Pizza Tascio to the Constitution if they'd had the chance. The pizza was so good I briefly forgot all my problems, my taxes, and even my purpose for living. The crust? Crafted by wizards. The cheese? Probably blessed by angels. The toppings? Arranged with the precision of a NASA launch team. Every bite felt like I had unlocked a secret achievement in life. I never liked let alone order supreme pizza in all my 24 years on this earth. Now I can't wait for my next supreme slice from Tascio. I've eaten pizza in many places, but Pizza Tascio has ruined all other pizza for me. Minskeys should honestly just close. Other pizza shops now feel like distant memories from a less enlightened era. If Pizza Tascio ever runs for president, it has my vote. 10/10. Five stars isn't enough. This review is on the Pizza Tascio Barry Rd Location. First time...I ordered 2 pies each pie was about $32. Total with tax and tip was over $80!!!! We were extremely disappointed with the pizza. It was overcooked to the point that it was dry. I realize NY style is minimal on sauce and cheese, but it should not be to the point where it is just dry. I always tip but wish I hadn't for this order. It was that bad. What I could have done with that $80+. I also picked up at the location to save $20 on delivery and driver tip. Thank goodness I picked up. Can't imagine paying over $100 for 2 mediocre pizzas. I guess I was expecting a Minskys-level pizza but barely got a frozen pizza quality. Won't be going there again.
