    Garlic naan

I ordered the chicken korma and chilli chicken. Before I say anything, I used to work at a high end Indian restaurant so my review may be a little biased . The chicken korma had very little flavour, I added salt but it still wasn't enough to 'save' it, it wasn't bad it was just very average. The chilli chicken had a good flavour but it definitely does not taste like chilli chicken. The sauce is more of a "sweet and sour pork" consistency and tastes sweet. It's not what I expected. The chicken quality was probably my favourite part, it was nicely cooked. I also didn't mind the naan but I don't think it's cooked fresh. It definitely gave me grocery store naan vibes but it wasn't bad. Overall I think the ratings are mostly from their pizzas rather than these dishes.

Sorry, I couldn't resist digging in before I took a picture. Killer chana masala

Honestly, I cannot say enough good about the Indian food at this little takeout joint. Well, honestly they do have a couple tables but I've never sat down and eaten. And actually, I've never tasted their Pizza , because their Indian food has me captivated utterly. There are a lot of fancy Indian restaurants that cannot hold a candle to the Indian food that they make at this place. Due to the fact that my daughters are vegan, it is very difficult to find restaurants that we can eat in. Indian food is of course the exception. I strongly recommend that you try their Chana Masala (best anywhere), aloo gobi and dal turkha if you are vegan. However, I usually just order vegetarian. There palak paneer and shahi paneer are amazing, but they're malai kofta is ethereal. It is the fabric of dreams, for me. As you can probably tell, I am enthusiastic about Indian cuisine. I recommend Aroma restaurant in Port Moody. I recommend Gian's Sweets & Restaurant in Abbotsford. These are both fancy restaurants (as indian food goes) , that are amazing, and Pizza Town gives them a run for their money any day. P.S. get an order of the onion kulcha to sop up the cream sauce in your Malai kofta, you will not regret it.

    Butter Chicken Special

Indian Grill & Pizza Town, one of many hole in the wall restaurants in the city with food packed full of flavorful. This restaurant use to have a second location by Barnet which unfortunately closed down. A family owned restaurant that serves both Indian Cuisine & Pizza. Walking in, I was helped by a polite lady with a big smile. I decided to order the special, Butter Chicken for $10. The dish had huge chunks of chicken, and the sauce was so creamy and had the perfect amount of spice. It came with rice and four pieces of naan. It was to die for. You know when you eat something and it tastes like the food was made we love? That! That was the feeling I got of the first bite. I left with a happy tummy! FYI, I Couldn't help it, I had to order my favorite, Gulab Jamun to go.

The pizza's kinda meh but I imagine the Indian food is better. Bit flat and chewy salty pizza.

Lots of choices of curry and pizza - the special curry deals (curry + rice + naan) for $10 is a great deal!

We were craving baingan bharta (eggplant) and ended up enjoying other dishes as well! Currently they had a summer special where if you ordered two of their featured drinks you also got free order of veggie pakora. The pakora was good but could use more seasoning. We ordered mocktails and they were refreshing. The standout of all the dishes though was the lamb biryani!!! sometimes I don't like ordering biryani with any protein because mostly the meat comes out over done or dry - this was definitely not the case. The lamb pieces were perfect and tender - they really elevated the dish and our meal. Butter chicken had a good flavour. Naan was a must and was very fluffy. We opted for mild spice for all dishes but I would love to return to try the medium spice. Between the two of us - we were full and had takeout containers for two other meals. The to go bag is nice quality material. Staff were courteous enough only feedback was that service felt rushed near the end. The restaurant interior was bright and spacious but the music felt a bit loud. Aman the manager was kind and I look forward to exploring more of the menu next time.

It's such a cute looking restaurant. Small but laid out amazing. The service was wonderful from start to finish of our meal. The food was even more amazing - it honestly reminded a lot of my home country (and this says a lot on its own). A place I truly and highly recommend!

The service when we visited wasn't super attentive but enough. The food was good both on the vegetarian and the meat dish side. The restaurant was strangely quiet for a Friday night, though one never knows how much takeout the restaurant does. And in fairness, it's a more challenging area than Surrey or southeast Vancouver. But this got me thinking: the restaurant is good. What would help turn the restaurant from good to outstanding - that would distinguish itself? --Spices. That's how Indian restaurant distinguish themselves, and I would describe the curry dishes as flavorful but not amazing or different from others. --Paying attention to allergies. It's a common theme these days, and the server had to be reminding several times of my partner's allergies to mango products. --Portion sizes. The Indian style Asian rice dish I has was just rice, but for the Aloo Gobi and Lamb dishes we had the portions were on the thin size. The prices were also a little on the high side particularly for beverages, but these days they pretty much have to be unless the customer base is very large.

Vesuvio, another name for Vesuvius, Mount Vesuvius…read more Interesting name for a pizzeria. I will enquire next time I visit the meaning of it. Ladies and gentlemen, this is best pizza to day I had outside of Italy. As part of the extended birthday celebration, my anti-carb partner indulged me to choose. Of course pizza, but which one? Vesuvio is a relatively unknown hidden pizza joint among sea of pizza franchises like Panago, Pizza Hut, Dominos, Little Caesar's within the 2 km radius. The flow of foot traffic at Vesuvio is steady where other eateries in the strip mall are asleep in this covid ridden time. We had the #7 carne (prosciutto and pepperoni). Let me tell you, the thickness of the crust was perfect. It's edge was thin. The sauce and cheese were in perfect balance. After four slices, and half a pizza later, I was looking for more. Great service and great price. Definitely worth it. Will be back

The only disappointment was that I sat on my moral high ground instead of just giving into my wanton desire. So far I have eaten two of their pies; Pesto Chicken (self-explanatory ingredients) and the Little Italy (classic Pepperoni). The quality and freshness of the ingredients is visual, for example the Chicken was sliced thick, easy to tell it was from a single breast piece. When you put that sort of care on their over the top good thin crust, you have a perfect combination. The Little Italy was all flavour and not greasy, so satisfying. Next time I order, pretty sure I'm going to try something with less traditional ingredients, which normally is a crap shoot, but I have faith Vesuvio can pull it off....maybe their Bianca (Zucchini, Spinach, Corn, Sun Dried Tomato and Bleu Cheese) or Quatro (Ham, Shrimp, WTF Crab!, Mushroom). Price point is beyond affordable, third party delivery was fast and efficient. Vesuvio is literally a 12/10, now my go to pizza place, 100% recommend.
