I'm going to start off with saying, I am not a fan of pizza... but this isn't just pizza... it's a whole new level of delicious. We had the nobile and it was phenomenal. Probably one of the best Italian restaurants I have been in the while. Awarded 3 years by Italian's food authority is a honour and I haven seen it deserved. It's been a longtime we last we dined at Spacca Napoli and it's probably going to be another long while before we come back. When we arrived, we waited behind another customer. After the 2 hostesses took their names, they both disappeared into the restaurant for a good 5 minutes before coming back out to serve us while other customers queued up behind us. I advised the hostess there were 2 of us in the party with our dog and requested the patio. Minutes later, they had a table ready for us inside the restaurant! They realized we had a dog so they set another table for us on the patio. We were seated and within minutes, the hostess told us dogs weren't allowed to be in this specific section of the patio. An ALL OR NOTHING statement was said, ".....we could stay where we were but the dog needs to on the sidewalk. OOPS! SORRY, but we did not seat ourselves! We were seated at the table knowingly we had our dog. HOSTESS WERE IN TOTAL CONFUSION! We were then seated at a bar height table with our shih tzu. We ordered the La Casalinga and boscaiola. I was under the impression the La Casalinga was a arugula salad. It was more a romaine salad sprinkled lightly with arugula. I would have never ordered if I had known this. Our salad arrived with 2 spoons. Yup, 2 spoons and no cutlery. We had to ask for cutlery. Our boscaiola was acceptable and not spectacular! I had been passing by Spacca Napoli pizzeria quite frequently over the past few months on my way to Coquitlam. The AI algorithm must have read my mind as my cell news feed kept posting several pieces on this pizzeria. LOL. I'd forgotten that I hadn't been back to Spacca Napoli in over 8 years. Here I was reading in my news feed that this pizzeria was now #1 in Canada. I rarely if ever write a second review of a restaurant, but I just had to for SN. SN is a small restaurant with an Italian feel to it. You can see the beautiful red oven where the pizzas are heated up. My brother & I shared the tantalizing La Casalinga Salad - one of the best salads I've ever had while dining out. We shared two pizzas - a Capricciosa (it was great) & the magnificent Maradona (spicy sausage). The crust is so chewy & tastes excellent. What was surprising to find was that I didn't feel like a stuffed bear after completing the pizza. For dessert I had the awesome Pistachio Tiramisù. Mama Mia! Came at opening on a Friday, and there was a line forming already for these delicious brick oven pizzas with nice mochi-ish crust! Lots of different options and flavors! This time we stuck with only pizza, but seems like we should come back and try some other options. They provided us with scissors as there was 6 of us. We ordered 5 pizzas and was super stuffed! Maybe getting 4 would have been a safer choice, and add some non pizza items! All flavors are great and you can tell the ingredients are fresh, and all the cheese was fancy real cheese! I was so excited to try this place, heard such good things about the pizza. Got take out and it took about 40 mins for a pick up order on a Thursday night. A bit long, but ok, we heard it's worth it! We ordered the Margherita DOP and Alla Facciazza The flavours were amazing, on both pizzas. They definitely are amazing. But sadly, I wouldn't call this pizza. Because it's so thin, the crust, you have to use a fork and knife to eat it. That's probably the reason they say they don't cut the pizza. They want you to eat it with utensils. So if you want a typical grab and go pizza place, this isn't it. If you don't mind using utensils to eat pizza then you must try. Sadly. I think there are too many pizza places out there with similar amazing flavours, but that actually cut the pizza and you can eat with your hands that we won't be back. I had noticed on social media this place was getting some attention as having the best pizza in Canada according to Gambero Rosso. I happened to be in the city so decided to give it a try. We got there right before it opened, and there was already a decent line up. News travels fast. We probably got one of the last tables during the first round of seating. Staff were quickly realizing that they would be busy for the next little while, as they seemed a bit overwhelmed but still did a pretty good job. Food was a bit slow to come out, but understandable and not too bad We tried the following: - Fritelle: Good. I don't think I've ever had this dish, but it was a pleasant surprise. Crispy but light. Great snack. - Suppli: Good. Nicely fried, fresh and delicious. My only complaint is that there are only two pieces - Caprese Burrata: Ok. Tomatoes were a but mushy. Burrata was fine though. - Gnocchi Quattro Formaggi: Very good. Gnocchi was light. Sauce was toothsome. Baked finish gave it some nice texture - Maradona Pizza: Very good. Crust in light. Really liked the calabrese spread. Overall, a nice visit. Generally good quality food with some nice dish surprises. Maybe not the best pizza I've had, but still very good. Delicious wood oven pizzas made fresh. This is not your typical bready pizza that you'd get at Domino's or Panago. Their pizzas are thin, and probably require fork and knife. We just finished up an exceptional meal tonight! We began with 'Suppli', which I have only seen before in the Trasteverdi area of Rome. They were fantastic! The arugula salad was enough for four to share. Entrees included The Rigatoni and The Alla Facciazza pizza. It was one of the best pizza combinations with prosciutto & with crumbled pistachio topping. The rigatoni pomadora was some of the best we've tasted. Very popular spot located in Port Moody, close to Rocky Point. Something to note is that they only seat you when your whole party is here. I had a friend running slightly late and they did not let us sit down first. Once seated, food comes out pretty quickly after ordering. I went on a Thursday around 6pm, and there wasn't a lot of peope but I heard it gets very busy on the weekends. Meatballs were so delicious, you can definitely tell that they are homemade. Totally recommend. We got two pizzas - one had mushroom/prosciutto and other was a margherita. Both delicious! Pizza comes on very thin dough so you can fold your pizza slice in half to eat. We have been here twice before and Spacca Napoli never disappoints. Once you step in you are surrounded by a rich atmosphere and the smell just takes you to a cozy place. The food is exceptional; fresh top shelf ingredients, beautiful flavors, great portions. The cherry on top of our visit this time though was our server: Left. Had one of their award winning pizzas and was severely disappointed because the stuffed crust was basically the majority of the pizza and the bottom crust was nonexistent because it was paper thin. You're essentially only eating stuffed crust rather than pizza, which is sad since their ingredients did indeed taste great. read more

Expected to have a good experience but the GM was rude, abrasive and I will never go back. She started off snappily stating we only had 90 minutes to sit . You cannot make reservations and they will not try to accommodate you either, our 8 month pregnant friend kept getting hit in the back by the servers walking by , we asked them to let us sit at another table but the GM said she was prioritizing the couple seating and could not make the table for 6. She then came over and stated we should only cut our pizza in 4 slices, I'm not sure what she meant but I think it could have been a dig at how much we were ordering. I always see them being quite busy every time I've driven by which sometimes surprises me. I first checked out this restaurant when they were fairly new to town and was not impressed whatsoever. My family doesn't eat pork and most of their dishes had pork in except for maybe 2-3 dishes if we were lucky. I remember us asking at the time if they were able to make one of the dishes we wanted to try without pork and we were told no they couldn't do any adjustments to their dishes. So we ended up being very restricted to the options we could try. I also recently wrote them a google review with my honest opinion and got a very rude response back from the owner compared to other people who also wrote honest reviews (with 1-2 star ratings) - worst customer service! read more

Spacca Napoli is by far my favorite pizza spot in all of the Vancouver area! I've tried sooo many and Spacca always wins. They have a quaint patio, beautiful white marble tables inside, and a huge wood fire oven to make the pizzas. Situated near Rocky Point in Port Moody, it's got a great selection of Neapolitan pizzas. My usual go to is the margarita, but I've also had the Americana (with hot dog wieners and fries) which is very yummy! And comical. One I've had just a bite of is the ricotta stuffed, and it's delish! A must try! They have so many great apps too. A cheese board,frittele and many more italian eats. Amazing all around!! This food is as authentic as you'll get! The best brick oven pizza this side of Italy!! Their lasagna is the most delicious melt-in-your mouth dish I've ever had - and that coming from someone who never would choose lasagna as a main course! So we ordered pickup again and got a text so we went to pick up. With our past experience we even waited 10 extra minutes before arriving to give them more time so we don't rush them. We ordered 2 pizzas and a pasta as my boyfriend really craved pasta that day and I've heard it's good. When we went to pick up our order, they made the wrong one.........we were in a rush to head to meet my parents so couldn't wait another 15-20mins (which is what the staff told us would be the wait time). We said no so they quickly made us a random pizza that they said is their best (which turned out tasty but too heavy for our liking). With two bad experience after we decided to give it another shot, it's just too many mistakes. The only reason I gave it 3 stars (1 star more) is because this time instead of excuses, the staff apologized for the inconvenience and reimbursed us for the pasta. But for someone who just want what they order, it's not the place for you. If you are also allergic to certain ingredients or other dietary issues and ordered something specific and get something else would be pretty frustrating... I'm not sure what to say. Their food are tasty. Most are worth the price and going back for, some are good but pretty ordinary. The service and experience though is just questionable so it's a like-dislike feeling. read more

My reviews here are very mixed because I am a local and used to LOVE this restaurant, however the last time myself and two friends visited we all got food poisoning.. We contacted the manager just to give them a friendly heads up, and they were very dismissive and defensive claiming that they have never had any other complaints, everything is made fresh every day and it could not have been them... Ok.. It was not a coincidence that all three of us were violently ill starting from 30 minutes - 3 hours after eating there. I was very disappointed with how the situation was dealt with and unfortunately will not be coming back or recommending it to others. I think it's very clear to see why Spacca Napoli Pizzeria is a local favourite. Being family-run, having the buzzing ambiance and a selection of great pizzas for all ages are all pluses. It's located very close to Rocky Point, a great place to walk your dog and grab ice cream after your dinner. I like that they have daily pasta specials to mix things up. In general, I think this is a great place to check out and catch up with friends or with family. Came here specifically for their award winning $25 pizza but found it too overwhelming with all the different toppings.
