I was so excited to try this place, heard such good things about the pizza. Got take out and it took about 40 mins for a pick up order on a Thursday night. A bit long, but ok, we heard it's worth it! We ordered the Margherita DOP and Alla Facciazza The flavours were amazing, on both pizzas. They definitely are amazing. But sadly, I wouldn't call this pizza. Because it's so thin, the crust, you have to use a fork and knife to eat it. That's probably the reason they say they don't cut the pizza. They want you to eat it with utensils. So if you want a typical grab and go pizza place, this isn't it. If you don't mind using utensils to eat pizza then you must try. Sadly. I think there are too many pizza places out there with similar amazing flavours, but that actually cut the pizza and you can eat with your hands that we won't be back. But good to try atleast once!

I had noticed on social media this place was getting some attention as having the best pizza in Canada according to Gambero Rosso. I happened to be in the city so decided to give it a try. We got there right before it opened, and there was already a decent line up. News travels fast. We probably got one of the last tables during the first round of seating. Staff were quickly realizing that they would be busy for the next little while, as they seemed a bit overwhelmed but still did a pretty good job. Food was a bit slow to come out, but understandable and not too bad We tried the following: - Fritelle: Good. I don't think I've ever had this dish, but it was a pleasant surprise. Crispy but light. Great snack. - Suppli: Good. Nicely fried, fresh and delicious. My only complaint is that there are only two pieces - Caprese Burrata: Ok. Tomatoes were a but mushy. Burrata was fine though. - Gnocchi Quattro Formaggi: Very good. Gnocchi was light. Sauce was toothsome. Baked finish gave it some nice texture - Maradona Pizza: Very good. Crust in light. Really liked the calabrese spread. Overall, a nice visit. Generally good quality food with some nice dish surprises. Maybe not the best pizza I've had, but still very good. I would go back.

Thin crust authentic Italian pizza. Treat yourself with the award winning pizza! Service was prompt. They don't take reservations so it is best to be there for early dinner. Friendly causal atmosphere, it is a perfect place to dine with your friends.

Delicious wood oven pizzas made fresh. This is not your typical bready pizza that you'd get at Domino's or Panago. Their pizzas are thin, and probably require fork and knife. We got their Margherita DOP which was delicious! The service here was prompt. Our server checked in with us from time to time. The host letting us in was a bit weird though. I don't understand why we had to wait standing outside while our table was prepared (and there were other empty tables) ‍

We just finished up an exceptional meal tonight! We began with 'Suppli', which I have only seen before in the Trasteverdi area of Rome. They were fantastic! The arugula salad was enough for four to share. Entrees included The Rigatoni and The Alla Facciazza pizza. It was one of the best pizza combinations with prosciutto & with crumbled pistachio topping. The rigatoni pomadora was some of the best we've tasted. We ended the evening with cannolis and lemoncellos. I will tell you~we've been to Italy. It doesn't get much better! Our server, 'Left', was so welcoming & attentive. Thank you so much!

Decent pizza and very friendly staff. Good sized menu. Hard surfaces so makes the place a bit loud. But overall a spacious joint. Will return.

It's my birthday this week so I brought the family to this pizzaria for dinner. Great service and ambiance. The kids loved the food. We're coming back for my wife's birthday in a few months. Definitely a special kind of pizza.

Their pizza is amazing, definitely suggest the ones with the ricotta crust and the award-winning marinara sauce. I also personally really like their gnocchi, especially the one with Quattro formagi sauce. Service is good, no outside drinks or food allowed in.

Very popular spot located in Port Moody, close to Rocky Point. Something to note is that they only seat you when your whole party is here. I had a friend running slightly late and they did not let us sit down first. Once seated, food comes out pretty quickly after ordering. I went on a Thursday around 6pm, and there wasn't a lot of peope but I heard it gets very busy on the weekends. Meatballs were so delicious, you can definitely tell that they are homemade. Totally recommend. We got two pizzas - one had mushroom/prosciutto and other was a margherita. Both delicious! Pizza comes on very thin dough so you can fold your pizza slice in half to eat. Pizza comes unsliced and they provide scissors for you to cut it.

Yummy spot for pizza! Well portioned and tasty. I like how they give us chili flakes and chili oil as well. The cafonata pizza was my favorite. San Marzano DOP tomato base, 'nduja, (spicy calabrese spread), sausage, roasted potatoes, fior di latte mozzarella, auricchio provolone cheese, ricotta stuffed crust for $26. The ricotta stuffed crust was SO good. Note that all people in your group must be present before being seated.

However, we really enjoy the food and coziness of the room so we have continued to make Henry's one of our regular dining experiences. We were going to make reservations for later this month when I noticed a line on their website saying that a 20% gratuity had been added to the bill. I thought that maybe it was a line that had been added on because of New Year's Eve or at that the prices on the menu now reflected the 20% gratuity and no further tipping would be required. My husband sent an email to Henry's asking them to clarify what the policy was. We received a response from Jasmine "20% will be add on. It does not refer only to groups but also to each individual consumer". Sadly, we will not be going to Henry's anymore. The food is very good but the prices are already very high. We were at a Seasons in the Park last night. Their prices are less than Henry's. The setting is nicer, service was outstanding and food is very bit as good as Henry's.

We walked into the restaurant without any customers. A server seated us right away. Her service was great knowing that it was our first time to eat here and letting us know what was special and what we should try. We ordered mussels with white wine, tomatoes and herbs as appetizers and our main dishes were Penne Alfredo and Linguine Pescatora. Penne Alfredo was just a simple dish of penne with white creamy sauce and Parmesan cheese, but OMG! It was extraordinarily delicious! Chef Henry could cook this simple dish so well that I could 100% guarantee it is hard to find such a good simple dish in Greater Vancouver. Linguine Pescatora was full of seafood (shrimps, mussels, clams, scallops, and calamari) in a light spicy tomato sauce. The seafood was fresh (not frozen ones) and the texture of linguine was firm and chewy. Everything was irresistible. We would love to visit this restaurant and try other dishes in the near future. It was worth a trip to come all the way to Port Moody and eat the pasta here. (This pasta restaurant was originally located in Vancouver West.).

We were given a few small pieces of bread with some thinly sliced meat, a tomato spread and a few pieces of Parmigianno Reggiano cheese. Hmmm...that was kind of different. Usually it's just bread with Olive oil & balsamic vinegar, or bread with some kind of spread. Adding the thinly sliced meat and the few pieces of cheese was a nice touch. I especially enjoyed the cheese! For our entrees my friend ordered Linguine e salmone, and I ordered Bucatini all Bomba. The Linguine e salmone came with a fairly large and thick piece of salmon. I was impressed with how generous the portion of salmon was for this dish. My dish was tasty but kinda paled in comparison next to the huge slab of salmon on my friend's plate. No fault of the restaurant as I had opted not to add any protein to my dish. I have a feeling if I'd added protein then there's a good chance I'd have ended up with a similar sized piece on my plate as well. Salmon for example would have cost an extra $14 to add to my dish. For that sum, I have a feeling it would be a pretty generous slab of salmon they'd be adding. I did very much enjoy the flavors of my dish. The portion of pasta looked a bit small upon first glance, but it was actually quite filling. I had just enough room after my pasta to order a Grappa Tiramisu for dessert, and as I don't come to Port Moody very often, I decided to splurge and order one. Mmmmm...sooo good. If you like Italian food, this place is quite a gem. I also love that they have a Vegetarian lasagna on their menu. As someone who doesn't eat meat, a Vegetarian lasagan is something that always grabs my attention when I'm at Italian restaurants. We stumbled upon this place while waitlisted elsewhere nearby but Im glad that happened. The ambiance of Povera is old timey, warm, and intimate. Tables are small and somewhat compact but it doesn't feel that way. The service was alright. The only time service fell short was when we asked for things like a straw for the drink or fresh ground pepper. Maybe staff were tired as it was the end of the night or maybe they were really busy. Regardless, we did have to ask a few times before they brought things over. Brownie points to our server though - We had a lovely server who was patient and let us take our time to review the menu. And he generously offered up the antipasto spreads and focaccia, which was delicious! The food was great. Highly recommend the focaccia. It was so good! Seasoned just right and had a great crunch. Listened to others' recommendations and got the salmon linguine. Now, it may sound simple on paper (lemon, rosemary, linguine, salmon) but it is done very well. The salmon was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The rosemary did a lot of heavylifting but wasn't overwhelming the dish. The lemon was a touch of acid to being brightness to the dish. Everything worked together. We also got the Bomba pasta with chicken. Also good, had a lot of flavours working together! The chicken also has a crisp exterior and tender interior. I'd definitely come back here for a date night or a more intimate chat with friends.

Lucky for me, this restaurant had the option of providing dairy free cheese on any of their pizzas (at an additional cost). Plus I saw that they had one vegan option on their menu which was great so I could still enjoy the food. Vesuvio is a relatively unknown hidden pizza joint among sea of pizza franchises like Panago, Pizza Hut, Dominos, Little Caesar's within the 2 km radius. The flow of foot traffic at Vesuvio is steady where other eateries in the strip mall are asleep in this covid ridden time. We had the #7 carne (prosciutto and pepperoni). Let me tell you, the thickness of the crust was perfect. It's edge was thin. The sauce and cheese were in perfect balance. After four slices, and half a pizza later, I was looking for more. The only disappointment was that I sat on my moral high ground instead of just giving into my wanton desire. So far I have eaten two of their pies; Pesto Chicken (self-explanatory ingredients) and the Little Italy (classic Pepperoni). The quality and freshness of the ingredients is visual, for example the Chicken was sliced thick, easy to tell it was from a single breast piece. When you put that sort of care on their over the top good thin crust, you have a perfect combination. The Little Italy was all flavour and not greasy, so satisfying. Next time I order, pretty sure I'm going to try something with less traditional ingredients, which normally is a crap shoot, but I have faith Vesuvio can pull it off....maybe their Bianca (Zucchini, Spinach, Corn, Sun Dried Tomato and Bleu Cheese) or Quatro (Ham, Shrimp, WTF Crab!, Mushroom). Price point is beyond affordable, third party delivery was fast and efficient. Vesuvio is literally a 12/10, now my go to pizza place, 100% recommend.
