This place is well hidden if you're just driving around. This absolutely classifies as a hole in the wall. When you walk in, the atmosphere is very simple because all the effort is placed in the creation of the food. On your right (on the wall), there is a menu that has most of everything that you could ever want. As you walk further in, behind you there is another menu as well. I will say, it was a little awkward at first entry, but I'm also not from this area. The guys there want to know what you would like to eat if you haven't called in, and they will start it promptly. They have pizza $2.50 a slice if you're just wanting to take a little dip into the world of flavor they have here. Honestly though, dive in. Pizza: 3 stars Italian hoagie: 5+ stars I ordered via their online process a few days prior to Christmas while visiting local family. I used to live in the area and like to branch out from my usual favorites every now and again. My order was up pretty quickly - I drove right over after ordering and it was available (so about 15 minutes tops). I wasn't subjected to the "weird vibe" others have referenced here, but I was also in and out of the shop in maybe two minutes. My slice of pizza was large, thin, and cheesy. It was a bit too crunchy and way too greasy. It was the definition of an a-okay slice. But the Italian hoagie? That thing was gold. Truly delicious, huge, on a seeded, top-tier roll. My Italian grandmother saw me eating it, hovered/gaped, and immediately cut herself off a piece. She, too, approved, which is saying something. So would I return for pizza? Eh, doubtful. Love their pizza. I have tried all the local chains and this one is the best by us in South Jersey (Pennsgrove to Deptford area). I absolutely love pizza so I'm fairly judgmental of everything from the sweetness of the sauce, gooeyness of the cheese, to the perfect texture of the crust. Best way to judge a pizza is by judging it without toppings. Just the simple things: sauce, cheese, crust. This one hits the mark. They don't over-sauce or overdo their cheese on their pizza. Too many places just lather pizza with a ton of sauce and cheese and it ruins it. You can tell their cheese is good quality because it isn't dry or hard. The pizza isn't too oily either. A lot of people use fake cheese and vegetable oil to make it appear as real cheese. Their sauce is sweet but not overpowering. It's a perfect blend of cheese and sauce. You want a good crust. Make sure to check the bottom and the crust. The bottom should be well done to offer a nice crisp bite, and the crust should be toasted on the outside but fluffy and light on the inside. That's a good indication that the dough was prepared properly and allowed enough time to rise and rest. Their pizza hits this head on. Personally, I prefer jalapeños. I mean fresh raw jalapeños but they are very rare to find at any pizzeria and it's unfair to judge a place because it isn't the most prominent topping of choice. But one thing I can tell you is that I don't care how good a place is if there isn't hospitality. You can have the best food in the world but if you're a shitty person then you don't deserve your customers. I don't know the owners at this place and have only tried it three times (3 weekends in a row and it was consistently great pizza - which is key) but I can tell you that the people behind the counter were genuine and kind. Pizza Villa has the best pizza in New Jersey & PA! I was an original customer when they were in Southwest Philly. I have tried many pizza places over the years & I never found another place I loved as much as them. Only place I will eat the pizza & the crust! I didn't think it would taste the same as it did in Philly, but it does! Same owners, which I was happy to see. Very nice people who serve good food and know how to treat their customers. This pizza could feed a family easily but this pizza was so good me and my husband just about finished it off, we could not stop eating until our stomachs were ready to burst then we quit..:) but our stomachs were very pleased and so were we. Italian hoagie, one of the best. Rest of sandwiches, very good. Pizza, a 7.5 out of 10. Wait time for a pick up order, literally never when they say. Expect 15min longer at the bare minimum. Delivery (through Slice app), not so great...especially during dinner hours. I know demand is high these days, but you get a delivery time "estimate" after the order is confirmed by Villa. Expect your food to be delivered 30min to an hour after that. During my most recent experience, I received an update that my food had been delivered, although it had not been. So, I called and was told that my order was just completed and the driver was leaving...said 10-15min. I really don't live that far, but OK. About 45min later, it arrives. Oh, and the driver ignored my request to text instead of ringing the doorbell (because my dog goes berserk). All in all better than leaving the house during the pandemic, I guess. But, if you are going the delivery route during dinner time, I highly recommended ordering 2hrs ahead of when you want to eat or, at worst, mentally prepare yourself for a little bit of frustration. read more

I ordered from this restaurant last week as I used to live in Delaware county and would go. I have ordered for like two or three months straight almost every week. One week we ordered twice as our schedules are hectic. So I took pictures of all my food. My blt club look like someone threw 2 bacon bits on it and called it a day. There was no lettuce on the hoagie. When I called slice where I ordered through they called me a liar basically. I didn't really want a refund I would have taken a replacement but they took it off the bill. So thinking all deserves a second chance I ordered last night the pizza had no mushrooms and I asked for a half and they said yes we did put it on there. The tuna hoagie roll you could have used to hold a door open with it was so hard. The supervisor or whatever the ignorant man who got on the phone said you should have called me when it happened now I cannot do anything. I had just gotten the food 40 minutes before that and it was for my boyfriend who had just gotten home. This guy kept telling us the order was 4 hours ago. I have the emails. Long story short he was not willing to do anything. Then he is like oh I will send a replacement. No thanks. Well I had to ear the 25 dollars I spent and threw out all the food. I asked to have the owner call me and the supervisor said I already talked to them so no. All I can said is rude and I will never ever suggest or order from there again. Have been going here for pizza an subs for over 10 years. It is definitely the best pizza in Swedesboro with an uncommonly tasty sauce and excellent tasting crust. We've been to Ciconte's, Papa Luigi's, Pat's, and Mama Francesca's and havent found a pizza better than the Villa. Cheese fries are family-sized served hot from the fryer and the kids love 'em. My only concern is that they've cut back on the amount of deli meat in their subs over the last year. read more

Ordered here for past few years and it was our favorite for pizza, subs & wings in 08085, but our last three deliveries were all epic fails. The first fail was the wrong order (they had to come back 3 times & it was cold with no apologies), The second time three of the four items were wrong. Finally, last night they actually got the order right, but the pizza was bleh, the burgers were all crushed w/out care, ZERO-drumettes in the wings and the cheese steak just okay. You can't server an okay cheese steak when you are minutes from Philly. I'm sad for this place because they started out so well and had pride in what they made and how it was delivered. While it is nice the owners are supportive of local school programs - my family ordered dinner tonight for pickup - a plain pizza and a couple sandwiches - I arrived more than 20 minutes later - and was told 'your order is going to be a while.' I stood there for another 45 minutes - the lady behind the counter would not even make eye contact with me - no updates, no reassurances, no CUSTOMER SERVICE. Finally I saw they started preparing our order... nearly an hour after it was called in... then when it was nearly done... they messed up one of the orders and had to start it over (no apology, no urgency). Finally I got the food... got it home... kids were up late waiting...and very hungry... and the order was MESSED UP. One of the sandwiches was all wrong and soggy... the online menu stated the sandwiches came with fries... no fries were included.
